Seriously why does /k/ hate Kimbers I own one and it works fine?

Hahahhahahahaha

Kimber markets and places MSRP's for their guns in the same class as some of the semi-custom guns. In reality they are not that level of quality any longer.
They have plastic mainspring housings, lots of MIM parts, and use low grade stainless steel throughout.
They are not bad guns, I know of several kimbers that work very well, but they are not on the same level as Dan Wesson, etc. etc.

Quality to value ratio, shit QC, rather limited explicit warranties, and highly variable CS experiences.
Hey /k/, Dumbass McGee here still half-new to the operation of firearms. I went out and bought myself the Taurus PT1911, five inch barrel, etc etc.
While cleaning and reassembling the thing, I sent the guide rod plug flying off my picnic table and into the yard. My question is, will another normal, full length 5 inch guide rod plug still work with my Taurus if I order it?
Pic unrelated.
This will sound weird but, anybody know what the source of all those guns laid out on a deck and photographed from above is from? It was for Gun Porn threads, mostly. Almost always the same deck that it was a sort of meme. Pic related, looked akin to that sort of.
This was mostly from like 2011-2013 /k/
Drake's deck I think?
>>34157235
have you even tried looking in the archives, you useless faggot? he frequently posts in arsenal threads.
The source is Drake, and it's his deck. Or at least it was his deck, he has apparently moved since then. He still posts fairly often, I see him in ammo threads a lot since he has quite a sizable collection

Sorry, that was not Drake's deck, this is
Ive been poking around looking up stuff about the national guard, because I want to join. I found a site with a "career planner" but it did not have armor as an option. I remember reading that the national guard does have armor units though. I really love tanks, and since I was little Ive always wanted to be in one and be, as I used to put it, an "army tank guy". But im a little confused, if I enlist in the national guard will I be able to get an armor unit? Would it be easier to ho into the army reserves if I want armor? Pic semi-related.

Three terrorists dead and member of public also shot, 36 injured.
Do you think this was SAS or armed police?

Yes, I do
/k/ I have a question.
Why do some many armies and police forces use the UZI? What contributed to the popularity of the UZI compared to other PDW?
>>34156847
Cheap
Built since 1950
A E S T H E T I C
>>34156847
Cheapest way to get suppressive fire I guess.
Will shotguns and multi bullet ammo see a resurgence in popularity with combat in low and no atmosphere environments?
Things like flechettes would be useful as it increases hit probability when you could be floating in micro-gravity and also putting more holes in a suit is better than putting one hole.
I recall a Soviet space suit getting punctured while in space and the breach was actually plugged by the Cosmonauts body, which he fully recovered from. More holes are harder to plug and even if they all plug it could still lead to a low enough suit pressure to easily affect performance.
If you had no atmosphere to consider while making a new round what would that lead to in terms of round weight and design shape?
>>34156761
Space suits would advance to be more armored, and armor piercing rounds will be needed. Same thing that happened on eartg
multi-shot, antipersonnel, recoil-less rifles.
What primary guns are these guys carrying? Looks like a carbine length ar with an Mp5 stock?
>tfw no urban counterterroist unit
Just the tools they need to clean up the mess you people voted for.
>>34156494
look in the catalog, retard
>>>34155389
>>34156494
it's called a PDW stock. pretty common in the AR world.
Hey guys just got a new 1917 enfield and it had this under the barrel.
Any idea what it is?
Heres a shitty pic i took to bump the thread
>>34156139
Likely an armorer's number. Most older guns used to have brass buttons with numbers for armory tracking. The Finns did this with their lugers. It makes identifying their Lugers a bit easier if they still have matching grips
>>34156139
someone used a .22lr round to pin the stock in place
Eggs plain yourself. Auto Shotgun... just keep squeezing... nice fat slugs, Buckshot, exotic buckshots....
Face it.. a handgun is just a means to get to your bigger gun.
>>34156096
>just keep squeezing
Until you run out of rounds in the tube.

>Four times in two lines
It's like you took everything Jeff Cooper said and deliberately didn't understand it.
If you don't have a long gun and a sidearm you're an idiot. This is the United States, you're not limited to just one, and if you're not already conceal carrying anyway then you're just playing pretend when it comes to self-defense.
Where's everybody from? Any other 802 /K/ommandos?
What does a general do? Do they just point at the map and say "take this town" or is there actual work they have to do?
At what level in the chain does the work stop being abstract and where does it become "real"?
War photographs, etc. thread
Nice weekendgunnit post you faggot.
How hard will it be to convert a deactivated firearm from the new eu spec?
Also what parts of the gun are stripped in the new eu spec
