I am about to purchase two cases of old military surplus spam cans that contains 7.62x54r and before I do that and take my 91/30 mosin nagant to the range Is there any way on how to properly clean the ammo before use and this is a serious question here I am asking. I do not want trolls or dumb liberal idiots on here and I do not want to hear ( hurr durr throw it into the tumbler hurr durr! ) I have heard this countless of time and i do not want to fucking do that it is careless and dangerous to do that to live ammo!!! And plus I don't have a tumbler so like I said before is there anyway on how to clean the ammo because I just want to keep my rifle in a healthy condition and safe that is all...

This is the conflict that's playing out right now in the Middle East. (I know we have a middle east thread right now)
This thread is specifically about discussing how said conflict would play out, what the power projection capabilities of each are, etc.
The two non-gulf states involved, Turkey and Egypt, have fairly sizeable militaries. That said, how would they be able to reach potential theaters of war?

I think Turkey would want to de-escalate the situation as much as possible since they're not really ready for a war right now. The Turks have a lot of indigenous weapon systems being developed that they want ready before they fight a war since it would a) allow them to use the war to market their own weapons that they sell and b) not have to fear sanctions from EU/US states over how the weapon systems are used and c) not mess with any systems that they're currently developing that has foreign countries involved (the TFX stealth superiority fighter, the SOM-J stealth air-to-ground missile etc).
Also since the Turkish aircraft carrier isn't ready yet (scheduled to be completed in 2021) the Turks don't have a reliable long-range transport system for their f-35s to take off from.
But even without Turkey I think Iran has enough power to take on Saudi Arabia and Egypt on it's own anyway.

A lot. But not anything insane either.

I don't keep my shooting/stockpile separate, but on average, I just add ammo at a slightly faster rate than I shoot it. It adds up over the 10 years I've been shooting. I'm starting to separate the two though, but mostly because I want to see how much the surplus will appreciate over time, and also would prefer to only shoot noncorrosive ammo since it costs the same anyway.

Zero, I don't worry about that. I worry about ammo panics and stuff like that disrupting my supply for a few years. That's what I stockpile for. I don't shoot a ton, but I never want to feel like I can't shoot as much as I want.
