>want to make a fast, scalable application with modern designs and high developer productivity

Help

If you aren't writing a driver, don't use Rust.
Memes aside, you really shouldn't use Rust unless you want to make use of Rust's features.
Rust is a language made for memory safety, and therefore you will be dealing with a pretty different syntax style. If you want "high developer productivity", Rust will absolutely get in the way of that unless your team is already well versed in Rust. (spoiler: they won't because Rust is a meme)
Java is not fast
Explain to me why a decentralized image board wouldn't work.
How come no one has tried it yet?

All it takes is one for one faggot to upload a sink picture and it's over.
the fuck does that even mean?
like torrenting threads and shit?
When will 4chan get support for hashtags?
It would improve this site so much, like we could actually become a respected forum.
Wouldn't it be great to just grab the posts we want out of the big sea of posts so easily.
TELL THE ADMINS TO START SUPPORTING #HASHTASH
>4chan

fuck off normie
KYS faggot. We don't want the respect of the globalist normies. GET OUT.

The fuck...
What is the point of that shit?
Maybe to keep using old hardware in environments where a mechanical drive wouldn't do well, like lots of motion/vibration?
>>59777711
Thanks, that's actually a pretty good idea for my A1200, cheaper and faster than a CF card.
>>59777711
I would love some for when I sell POS software to people, but they have shitty endurance so they're worthless.

All of these threads except for 2 are duplicates

There is no "report duplicate thread" option.

Macs can't even lock without putting the computer to sleep or cancelling all downloads.. how in the fuck are macs so popular when one of the most common function, if not the most important function for most users is nonexistent???
>>59777645

>popular
>>59777645
Cause people with real jobs don't use Mac, it's a faggot OS made by a guy who literally died from AIDS and then was replaced by another literal faggot.

Would it be possible to write a program so when you open up a Wikipedia page in your browser it opens every link on that page, and then every link on all of those pages, and so on and so forth until your browser crashes?
How long would your browser last?
Sort of a weird program idea? What do you guys think of it? Would it be worth writing?
This is the only sentence in this post that isn't a question.
Yes
Depends on the computer. Mine wouldn't survive the first page's links.
Not really
It sounds trivial and lame
I don't think so
>>59777616
Why would you say this? I'm just trying to freestyle some gram ideas to get myself inspired man.
>>59777616
I also have no idea how that link got there. It was the last tab I closed. Somehow it reappeared on my mouse when I was moving around the Quick Reply window. I must have let go over the Name field.
Firefox is being increasingly retarded lately. Maybe take a break from the extensions drama to unfuck your browser, dickheads.
Hello everybody, welcome to Tech Uploaded! I'm Chris and today you're reading this in my voice.
>>59777552
I've never watched a Tech Uploaded video, so I don't know what Chris sounds like.

Daily reminder that you don't need to pick a DE when MATE Tweak emulates most of them with one click, even unity
>>59777435
>ubuntu
Enjoy the botnet!
You also don't need to pick a DE at all.
Mostly flash, little function.
>>59777437
MATE is a DE, not a ubuntu distro. You can install mate on any linux system you want
Is MATE the logical conclusion to desktop environments?
>>59777318
What Desktop environments are good depends on perspective. Instead of shit posting about which one is superior (white?), why not just appreciate the fact you can change and customise to your liking

yes

Are whiteboard tests a meme? I can't think of a single time knowing an algorithm or prime number has been useful. And every interview I have starts with a whiteboard walking in and asking me to sum the primes to two million
>>59777260
I wouldn't say 100 percent meme but if you can't at least do those then you should probably leave.
stupid whiteboardposter
It's an exercise in problem solving, not how fast you can google things.
Honestly, if you can't figure out prime numbers, it means you're a retard who never learned grade school math and I certainly wouldn't want you working here if that were the case.
Why hasn't flatpak really caught on, yet? I've used a couple of them, and it works quite well, and the idea of packaging and sandboxing seems like a good idea.
>>59777233
>flatpak
this is the first time I've head about this
it sounds sort of like docker but for desktop applications
I think the main issue is lack of publicity, and it seems like this would encur a lot of overhead with each application
>>59777233
>Why hasn't flatpak really caught on, yet?
Because it can't calculate the sum of all primes less than 2 million
>>59777302
I can't imagine the overhead would be that much, and the trade is getting sandboxing, which is good for security, as well as the ability to push one complete package that can be distributed to any distro.
