lul only the losers on this board use linux on their desktops
This just confirm everyone is a retard
Why are (((they))) making VHS' again?
>>59780380
use the tape to hang yourself
Fabricated nostalgia for Gen Z kids who were never acquainted with just how shitty VHS was.
People still own VHS players?
Let's talk about actual technology.

Why dont you use winxp fgts!
>Use linux instead
>>59780204
Horrid
Because literally anyone can exploit your machine. All it takes is a 12 y/o to look up remote exploits online, find one, and sweep it across a large number of IP addresses.
>>59780204
Because you can use a simple reverse_tcp exploit to get full remote access just through your IP Address. Fuck that shit nigga I'm not having no 10 year old go through my footjob folder.
>come back from college to parents house
>captcha shows as plaintext with no checkbox, legacy works fine
>Few hours pass, I get pic related
This shit's been happening since october on all sites using google's captcha, on all rowsers browsers in my windows 10 laptop, but just my laptop.
And no, installing gentoo is not an option, as much as I wish it was.
I've tried disabling and reenabling addons, eanimg caches, messing around with all sorts of settings and even rolling back an update, since that's when it first happened. That was the first and last time something worked.
Searching around just leads me to webdevs trying to get captcha to work on their website, or people getting blocked from google and being forced to fill captchas.
Anything else from google works perfectly alright.
Please /g/, I don't wan't to be stuck phoneposting. I need a lead, some keyword to search for, something to investigate.
Or at the very least a reassurance that I'm not the only one getting blocked from captcha when using a specifix device under a specific network.
buy a 4chan pass

...so how did you post this?
MIND BLOWN

So Volta will only release in 2018.
So what will nvidia do once Vega drops?
>>59780173
Release another Titan X
>what will nvidia do
Absolutely nothing. Vega might finally reach 1070 levels but that's about it.
Maybe nvidia might have to cut 1070 prices a bit but depending how clever they market GSync and their other memes not even that.
>>59780173
I don't give a shit about amd "performance" at this point. Until they fix their shitty drivers and especially OGL, it's a no buy. I only owned a 9700pro because FX was that bad.
I want to rewrite computing from the ground up.
I want to redefine how hardware is managed.
I want to redefine how hardware is designed.
I want to redefine how operating systems run.
I want to redefine what operating systems run.
I want to redefine how languages are designed.
I want to redefine how programs are written.
I want to redefine how the internet connects.
I want to redefine how we use the internet.
Where do I start?
>>59780141
Go ask Terry.
Start by learning how it works currently.
>>59780162
+ learn macro economics

What sort of stuff did Zyzz used to talk about on /g/?
Pic unrelated
About his aesthetics, and saying "u mirin?".
He posted in the desktop threads.
Those guys say goodnight and good morning to each other.
RIP Zyzz
what device are you using?
how many of its parts are based on my work?
why are you not standing on my shoulders and doing greater things?

He literately didn't invent any of that. If you want to make the argument that he was responsible for the foundation that created those inventions you're also wrong.
Michael Faraday and Georg Ohm did far more.
Why is kde so good compared to all the other DEs?
KDE is very heavy on RAM.
MATE all the way.
>>59780042
>heavy on ram
It only takes like 300mb more than xfce would, that's literally nothing
>>59780016
Inconsistent design and bugs aplenty. No, thanks.
a bit out of the loop here /g/, i need some help. doing my first build in many many years now and need to decide on storage.
i dont want to use an ssd and only want to spend $130 or less right now. I was thinking:
a) 2tb wd black
b) or a 1tb wd blue 7200rpm with a 2tb wd blue 5400 rpm for media storage
are the blues reliable or would i be safer with black? is 5400 rpm still acceptable for media storage (ie watching movies off of)?
or whatever 3rd option you think is better
>>59779760
Fuck WD, they relabeled all their shitty Green drives to Blue because no one fucking bought them. Get HGST or Toshiba.
>5400rpm
Fucking never

Will do.

The call that saved the NSA
My fellow engineers! (And also, scientists, doctors, technicians and inventors)
Listen to my voice! What are we right now? Slaves? Laboring for the capital, day by day?
But why? Why do we bear this shame? Let me ask you a few things.
- Who designed their products to sell? - We did!
- Who designed their factories to produce? - We did!
- Who made the technological foundations of the banking system, which keeps their money safe? - We did!
- Who made it possible to extend their lifespan and make them healthier even more than before? - We did!
- Who made them sports cars and luxury jets to spend their meaningless minutes of life? - We did!
Bankers, lawyers, politicians, magnates... and all the rest of mankind. They did nothing, but sapping the profit out of our sweat and knowledge.
We made them rich. We made the entire mankind this successful.
Don't you see? Without our gracious and gorgeous gifts of technology and knowledge, they all would be literally still just apes with sticks.
Now, what are we now, my friends?
Merciful creators! Supreme species.
Without us, they are nothing. They are just mortal mammals on a rock in space.
We are those who let them be civilized. We are those who let them live. We are their overlords!
We own them all.

what does this say about the intel buyers who bought everything after? that they're mindless idiots?
>>59779725
That they spent alot of money on a few percentage difference, interpret that any way you like.
Especially at higher resolutions the differences become minimal
