The fuck...
What is the point of that shit?
Maybe to keep using old hardware in environments where a mechanical drive wouldn't do well, like lots of motion/vibration?

Thanks, that's actually a pretty good idea for my A1200, cheaper and faster than a CF card.
>>59777711
I would love some for when I sell POS software to people, but they have shitty endurance so they're worthless.
>>59778153
they use the same nand shit normal ssds do
>>59777711
This is great, if it's not just a CF card in fake shell, wouldn't surprise me.
>>59778161
I wouldn't trust generic chinese brands to reliably hold information about my bussiness.
I learner the hard way about how fragile those can be.
>>59777711
Gotta get dat legacy hardware speeeeeeeeed
>>59778175
Don't buy the generic chink shit ones then
>>59778186
Havent seen a 32gb version from intlel or samsung that has recent tech in it.
>>59778199
>complains about generic chink shit
>only intel or samsung aren't "generic" chink shit

Made my 1ghz G4 TiBook faster.
those are pretty crap most things that would use a small less than 64gb ssd are tablets and industrial devices but most use a "half slim" ssd
I use them for converting thin clients into industrial machines they get full sata6 speeds up to 450/350 sequential
>>59777711
This is all because of druga1 and his win 98 sdd videos
>>59778214
you forgot
>business
>not having backups
>>59777711
IOPS on older hardware.
>>59778310
I was thinking about buying one of these as an paging/swap drive.
Would this be an smart idea or just retarded.
>>59778361
If you use huge amounts of swap for some reason then yes.
having low latency responses is nice.

>sdd
Leave /g/ forever.
