hi i am doing starting strength but i am eating less than 2000 calories is that a good idea if i am trying to lose weight and lower body fat percentage

Im at 22% bf and am cutting to 11-12%.

I am around 1/2/3 in lifts - not very strong. I'll look a little Auschwitz at the end and Im fine with that. I'll be lean bulking immediately after for as long as possible.

would GREATLY appreciate advice on these 4 questions:

1. Apparently I can cut 2lb/week and still maintain a (slow) progressive overload on strength?!?! Is it possible (bear in mind I still with have newb gains probably)?!?

2. If I am eating 1500kcal a day (my TDEE is 2500) then what protein/carb/fat ratio should I use? as most advice is for 500 cal deficits and also for people just losing weight and not looking to progressively overload.

3. Im also trying to IF. Im already at 16/8 anyway but want to get to 22/2 or 20/4. I plan to I break fast 1hour before workout, do the workout then eat the rest of my calories immediately after. Does anyone workout in a 18h+ fasted state then eat ALL their calories in post-workout meal?

4. Is Jason Blahahaha's ICF 5x5 routine good for this or am I getting memed? He says that on a cut you should do 3x5 for compounds and 2x8 for accessories. Its a A/B split 3 days a week. Interesting find regarding maintaining muscle on 1000kcal deficit - you only need 0.82g/lb:

They also added a thousand calories worth of training on top of their regular exercise. So these guys were literally running on a 1000 calorie deficit while drastically increasing their training volume. Talk about a catabolic state… Of course the nitrogen balance in the low protein group plummeted. However, the protein intake of 0.82 g/lb in the other group completely protected the subjects from muscle loss. Nitrogen balance, whole-body protein turnover and protein synthesis remained unchanged.

Therefore I need 150g protein for my 184lb weight.

I'm doing 40/30/30 until I hear otherwise

The fuck do I eat for lunch /fit/? I've got dinner and breakfast down but I need some clean lunches. Generally bulking but I eat enough chicken/rice/greens at dinner that I can't really do it for lunch.

I've got a kettlebell and I'm wondering, is it better to use it a few times a day and stop before I get sore( I get more reps overall that way) or do it til I hurt and can't anymore once a day?

also if you are dehydrated its realy nice but in terms of increased gains i dont think thats helping much. maybe in a 0,01% increas but you would be better of fixing other shot first

Is there any reason to do the barbell bench press over doing a dumbbell chest press?
It's the same range of motion and using the dumbbells helps to target both sides of the chest equally compared to the barbell bench press where I feel like my right side does more work than the left, leading to muscle imbalance.
