Got 6 center cut tuna steaks (frozen not marked sushi grade) that I want to make into ahi tuna tomorrow. How long should I marinade them? I've been getting mixed opinions.
Post good marinades please for them if you have some

>frozen not marked sushi grade
Frozen doesnt neceassarily mean it's not Sushi grade.
Legally in the US, all fish that is to be consumed raw must be frozen to kill parasites. Usually it's done via flash freezing so as to cause minimal damage to the flesh, however if the fish thaws and refreezes more slowly (say in a poorly controlled grocery store freezer) then it can ruin the quality of the flesh.
tldr; sushi grade tuna is frozen if you're eating it in the US.
>>8994285
Yeah, its probably safe, I'm just saying it wasn't marked as such
>>8994285
>Legally in the US
Stopped reading there.
The land of "pizza is legally a vegetable".
Okay but how do I introduce any actual taste into this shit?
See the condiments bar? Mix that into the staples to get flavor.

>1g protein per lb bodyweight
How the fuck am I supposed to eat 1200 calories a day in protein alone?

C MERE YOU
YEAH YOU C MERE
NOW FUCK OFF
>see terrible waiters experience thread on /ck/
>laugh at Stephan with an "on" and not a "phen" meme
>go to grab some coffee during a break
>standing behind hipster nu-male in line
>when they ask him his name he literally tells them "Stephan with an on and not a phen"
>commence laughing hysterically
>everybody looks at me like I'm deranged
>can barely place order
What are your experiences in the food service industry where the meme becomes reality?
>>8993863
You were the one that told them your name was StephON and then laughed at your own inside joke, faggot.
>>8993880
t. StephON
>cafes that ask for your name because they want to look like they care but don't actually care enough to get it right
Food service cancer. Just give people a number.
>read up on a method or recipe
>article implies that the writer is not a trained professional cook that works or has worked in a restaurant
>instantly stop reading
if you don't do this you are retarded.

Dfc?
But she's nice. I just can't figure out how I google more images like this.
I'll start, I like using every sauce at disposal on my fries when ordered at a restaurant or even at home and put them all over the fries instead of on the side.
People call me a weirdo for this. I'm n-normal r-right? ._.
>every sauce at disposal on my fries
I only know one person who does this, and he trained himself to enjoy revolting sauce combinations so that no one would want to steal his fries.
I really like to eat canned ravioli and spaghettios without heating them. Always have.
Not weird per se, but unique.
Instead of covering my fries in salt and pepper, I sprinkle some in my ketchup. Try it, you'll love it.
I have family coming over for breakfast tomorrow, and I want to impress them a bit. How can I ensure they love my scrambled eggs?
A dash of LSD and locked doors.
>>8993445
look up Gordon Ramsay's scrambled eggs, I don't use the creme freche but they're soo good
>>8993445
Add a teaspoon of sour cream per egg. Results in a really creamy mouthfeel. Sprinkle a little garlic powder in the pan when you're melting the butter. Don't rush cooking the eggs. Don't overcook the eggs. Have warmed plates ready for the eggs so the cold plates don't suck the heat out of the eggs. Maybe some finely chopped chives on top?
Am I the only person that eats a plate of food from the outside in?
I do it because the food on the outside gets cold the quickest. I'm sure I've seen some people just attack the middle though. Heathens.
>>8993257
Depends, I do this with some foods, but if I had pasta like OP's pic id mix the inside with the outside. I'm not having plain jane pasta lol
>>8993257
never really gave this any thought but now that i am, i think i usually just go from one side to the other...
i have a couple friends who eat pizza crust-first tho...
>>8993257
Why is the sauce on top of the pasta instead of coating it? Who the fuck does that?
>white chocolate
>is not real chocolate
Why is this allowed?
It's specifically done to trigger autists. Rich people have to laugh too.
That's why they bother putting the qualifier "white" in front. It's not chocolate. It's white chocolate. Like an open faced sandwich can't just be called a sandwich. You always say open faced sandwich
>>8992910
it's made with cocoa butter so it's like half chocolate kinda like butter is half milk
>that first sip of the day
>>8992629
Mah niggah
You can't drink a banana you retard
>>8992629
I put mine in a PB sandwich
>he stores his eggs in the fridge
>>8992588
>Doesnt realize that eggs come out of the same hole they poop out of
>Doesnt realize washing the eggs are what makes them need to be stored in the fridge
hurrdurr
What's wrong with that?

Why is that racist, misogynist, bigot, white fish slapping that poor little helpless negro female fish?
What diet makes you FEEL the best?
I dont really need to lose weight much or something, but i always feel tired, depressed and have no energy for anything, just waking up from a 8+ hours sleep, for example.
Im almost sure that a big reason is that i mainly eat shitty food most of the time.
So, what diet in general makes you feel better, healthier, more energetic, etc.
Like, for example, i know stuff like keto will help you lose shitloads of weight but it makes you feel like utter shit 24/7.
>>8992572
For some people, OP, losing weight and getting pounds off the joints, back, and daily wear and tear on the feet is paramount. For other people, a 10% loss can mean lowering blood pressure while gives better sleep and stress reduction and that'll be what it takes. Keto is a way to lose weight with less deprivation. There is an ability to watch your ketosis and overindulge a bit in fat and protein. Deprivation is the diet cheater, and keto can end that.
But, is it healthy? You need carbs. They are in fact feel good chemicals, contribute energy to your muscles (why the long distance runner will carb load the night before a race).
So...figure out your issues and work towards goal weight. Getting some exercise is good for you.to lower your resting heart rate and boost your metabolism and energy, but you can lose weight with only calorie reduction too. Heck you can feel better just getting yourself properly hydrated all the time. Even adding 2-3 glasses of missing water per day can be all it takes. Try common sense diet advice before you start eliminating whole food groups from your life. That's what I'd do. Also, have a regular sleep schedule, no flip flopping your bedtimes on weekdays vs weekends. It can kill your whole week's energy if you do the Saturday late night every week.
Fresh tuna and rice. 3 months of that and then a fuck tonne of fruit and veg for weeks.
Rinse and repeat.

High fruit, High Vegetable, Low meat, Fish is ok just have to keep mercury levels in mind, Rice and beans, oatmeal, and lentils for complex carbohydrates.
>be male on first date with cute girl
>order a salad for my meal

Yeah its true apparently health eating is feminine..

/alc/ al/ck/ Alcohol Thread:
When did you first realize drinking was great, but more importantly when did you realize drinking was a problem edition.
Drinking became great at 15 , drinking started becoming a problem at 20.
It was a problem by 18
>>8992163
I never really enjoyed drinking. When I was 18 - 21 I drank way too much. Was known as the drunk of the group but did it just to cope with my social anxiety and felt no one would like me sober.
Now over a decade later I drink alone and purely to cope with my shitty existence.
>>8992165
That's too early anon.
Also what is everyone's drink of choice?
>low-tech
>feed conversion ratio comparable to crickets
>have various reliable cooking methods
>eaten regardless of culture
>not a fad
I can't see why it wouldn't be the meat of the future!

No, soy is.
