Describe your favorite burger? Some people like veggies, some don't, some like cheese, some don't, some like bacon, some don't, some like ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc some don't and all in different combinations
So, ITT describe your ideal burger, from how it's cooked to the toppings to the condiments

Short rib meat. S&P on the outside, pan-seared. The outside of the patty should have a firm crust, the inside should be medium-rare or medium. Two slices of processed cheese melted over the patty.
Brioche buns, browned in the drippings left over from cooking the patty.
Toppings: Bacon, freshly deep-fried onion rings, spicy BBQ sauce, roasted garlic spread.
Bloody Mary on the side.
Two 1/4lb patties, pepperjack melted on each, horseradish spread, dijon mustard, toasted bun.
I like it simple.

>top bun
>mayo OR mustard
>lettuce
>tomato
>onions if they are cooked
>a mild cheese
>burger cooked medium
>bottom bun
Fries or chips and a pickle as a side
I was trying to make some yummy teacakes and my bitchy friend ruined them. Any of you have horror stories about cooking with friends?
>>8996808
You sound like my waifu.
Not really a horror story but I absolutely loathe people who backseat cook. It's happened a few times to me I'm the one making the dish leave me be. I understand if people want to give a little bit of constructive criticism or some tips I'm open to that.
It doesn't help the fact that I get mild anxiety when I have to cook for other people because I'm so fixated on making it perfect, even if everyone else loves it I nitpick my dish apart and think it's mediocre at best. Granted it helps me improve but sometimes I just irritate myself with it.
>bake a cake
>set it out to cool so I can decorate it
>assfaggot takes a slice out of it almost immediately

Has eating out become ridiculously expensive over the last 10 years?
>>8994759
Not ridiculously, but more than I'm willing to spend usually as an unskilled 25yo Murcian
Not at the high end, but fast food seems to have gotten more expensive.
Is an burger an sandwich?
>>8994157
it's a art.
All burgers are sandwiches, not all sandwiches are burgers.
yes, same with hotdogs and tacos
cereal is a soup
pizza is a pastry
what's the procedure for buying one of these? is it more about how I take care of it than the person/company I buy it from? is end grain basically the only game in town, or should I consider edge grain, too?
just finished college and I told my parents I want a fairly nice cutting board for the new apartment I'm moving into (as a graduation gift; we don't have much money). I don't want them to spend a lot, but I think this would be very useful to have and I could hopefully keep it around for a while to come.
Make one. There are plenty of tutorials. It's honestly not that hard if you're willing to invest a couple hours. You can do it without clamps if you don't have them. If you don't have a saw, you probably should buy a saw.
>>/diy/
Shitty ones are made with dodgy wood of uncertian origin. Could have arsenic or other nasties in it
Shitty ones have so much glue that the glue does more harm than the benefit of end grain. Or so little that they fall apart
If you're trying to keep the budget down, buy a hinoki board or a sani-tuff, and buy your $200 countertop fedora later when you're feeling less price sensitive
Well, that one is all wrong.
They're supposed to be 8 by 8 squares.
And the pieces are missing.
Can I sue Wendys? I went to get ketchup and the pump thing exploded and got all over my 200+ Signed Hockey jersey. It won't able to be replaced either.

I spend an obscene amount of time gathering ingredients, then cooking them in BoTW. More time than actual quests I'd wager.

Hey /ck/ first post on this board, was making some improv pinto beans in a crock pot and I put in
The beans
One diced red onion (all I had)
Couple cloves of garlic
Couple bay leaves
Some chopped pork loin I cooked a couple days ago
Salt and peppah
Is it fucked? Should I add anything else? How long will this take on high?
Salt was the only mistake
>>9002152
oh yea and i soaked the beans last night in water, dumped it and put fresh in, I wonder if using a broth would have been better?
>>9002160
why?
well if my beans turn out bad, i'm blaming you /ck/
okay you fucks i'm showing y'all how to make texas tea
first you need your teabags and sugar, along with your teapot
first get your water in the pot, and fill it all the way (not 80%, not 90%)
now put that shit on the burner, set it to high and wait
>>9001765
This has no alcohol. Wtf
How do you cu/ck/s mash potatoes?
I skin my spuds and cut them into small chunks and steam them in a metal colander over a pot. I then mash them with some butter, milk and seasonings (just a lil salt if I'm using gravey).
>spuds
Triggered
>>9001712
>gravey
Smash 'em. Boil, keep the skins, add butter, salt, pepper and brute force them into a lumpy and uninspired but delicious mess
