Have a lot of places selling tea like this shown up where you live? I get one almost everyday
Not many boba places around here, but I'm not sure if I'd make any money opening up a stand, because I'm not a 25 year old asian girl

More than a couple. I'm honestly not a fan of the bubbles. Tastes like tapioca, do not want.

The new Italian Hero sub from subway is actually pretty good, just got one for lunch today. It actually has real meat.
>>8719045
No, Indian. I recommend spinach, tomato, onions, hot peppers, provolone, oil, and vinegar. I'd also recommend making it a meal with an ice cold coke.
One bite will make you say: Mama mia!

Don't suppose you know if they do this in the UK?
American Subway seems to get all the decent shit and we get just crap standard shit.
Would 100% buy one tomorrow if they do them over here.
They got the pastrami melt as a special for some time in my town. Is it any good? Anyone had one?
I don't want to turn this into an all out shitshow on whether veganism is good or bad or retarded, but here's the deal: I'm 19 and not very skilled culinary-wise and hosting a "dinner party" for 3 other people including a vegan
How do I make something that is
>vegan
>hard to fuck up
>somewhat impressive
>not that time consuming or expensive
Also all my knives are dull as shit and I don't have that many good tools or anything. Only thing I have on my side is I can cook with gas and not an electric stovetop.
Can it be done? Help me out guys

Cook pasta of choice
Put three/four cloves of garlic, Roma tomatoes, olives, and basil in a bowl. Marinate in some red wine vinegar and lots of olive oil for as long as possible. Crack pepper and salt. I like it with feta but you've got a vegan so good luck pal. Only thing you have to cook is pasta.
Toss over pasta and serve with warm bread.
Wa la.
Cook something great, and a side dish of plain pasta for the vegan fag

Make a real good salsa, the key is a shit ton of tomatoes and a good serving of ciliantro. I also add carrots and cucumbers to make the hot peppers not as hot
Your most visited grocery store has a raffle and you win a 2 minute shopping dash. You have one shopping cart and may fill it with whatever you want within a 2 minute window.
You start at the entrance and must run to get whatever it is you want. If your grocery has multiple entrances, the manager strategically places you at the entrance furthest from the alcohol.
What do you head for first? Do you have a strategy lined up or do you just madly throw in whatever you see? How much do you realistically think you can get?
Electronics.
>Run to specialty cheese section
>Take it all
Maybe pick up some seafood to eat that night too. Nothing else is expensive enough to be worth it.
Toilet roll, garbage bags, cleaning products etc.
You might think getting $2,000 worth of meat for free is a good idea, but then you run into the issue of having to store it. Toilet roll doesn't go off and you always regret running out of that WAY more than you regret running out of ground chuck.
No /tea/? Le'ts have one. Posting my favorite mate here.
stop driving up the prices of mate yankees

Umm, I'm argentinean
>be me, tea noob
>buy 1 oz of a green tea with densely rolled leaves
>it only fills 1/3 of one of my tea jars
>"what the fuck I thought 1 oz filled this thing up before"
>later, go back and buy another variety I've enjoyed before
>"3 oz of your yue guang bai please"
>yeah that oughta do it
>shop guy comes back with a pablo escobar-ian quantity of tea
>too embarrassed to say "oh that's too much"
>take it home
>half of it's probably gonna go stale before I drink it
>mfw
>ctrl-f "beer"
>"no"
what're you guys popping open tonight? trying something new? an old standby? post what you're having tonight w/ food pairings if applicable
I'm using pic related as part of beer battering cod for fish tacos (also drinking some too). excited to see how well it does in the batter
Bayern Killarney Red Lager.
Something I'm going to assume was rolled out in the state for St. Patrick's Day. Pretty damn decent really. The brewery is about 50 miles from where I live. Irish beer brewed by a German immigrant, oh well.
Tried this for the first time. Nothing special, but it's solid and decently priced for being 6.7%. I'd buy it again probably! I hope they bring back the pils they made last summer.
Using their old label because I like it better.
pic related, really tasty
half acre is my favorite local brewery with revolution a close second
>met a girl on pof
>sold some stuff to gamestop to get extra money for a date.
Im not one that goes out but researched and saw Del Friscos Steak House in the area
>is this a good place? And a good place to take a date? I have around 250$ to spend.
Lol, nigga, never go crazy on a first date. Dudes selling shit to afford it. Not worth it my dude.
Just find a good cafe, go there, get some drinks, go walk around town, if things are going well ask if she wants to eat somewhere, then go. If not, tell her to hope on deez nutz or gtfo

I've got liver and no onion. What do? The liver must be eaten for dinner tonight and I'm not going to the grocery store.
I guess you're eating the liver without onion then.
>>8721922
Bell peppers?
>>8721931
No, all I have is garlic and ginger. I'm kind of stuck, this should have been grocery day but we are having a nasty blizzard.
What fills you up more for longer and gives you longer lasting energy, protein or carbs?
that's really two different questions
>>8721859
Let the thread.... commence.
>>8721851
Protein fills you up more, but there are carbs that are very very satiating (steel cut oats for example). Protein isn't really an energy source though, carbs are.
So I like spices but it's easy to just end up using the same ones, and the ones in my culture.
So I was thinking about this.
Is there any website where you can buy a group of common spices for a country/location/culture?
Like so you want to try Japanese/Chinese/Thai cooking, buy a set with like the 10 most commonly used spices in that country and a little instruction maybe like, these to go well with fish and an example of a popular dish or two. And then you get that for all the spices so you know where to start.
Are there any services like this?
>>8721824
I have no idea about a 'service', but any decent cookbook for a given cuisine should have a listing of spices commonly used in that cuisine.
It's called a shop, anon
They usually carry spices
spice kits definitely exist and are served at specialist shops, but no i don't know of a service that bring a variety of them together representing a number of different cuisines.
Post yours just as long as it /ck/ related. Looking for more off the handle/odd food webms.
If you were being set in the dilemma of eating meat from only one animal the rest of your life, what animal would that be?
Lamb
>>8720966
Turkey. I can eat turkey sandwiches, grill turkey breasts like chicken, eat turkey burgers, traditional holiday dinners, and I unironcially enjoy turkey bacon and sausage.
Hell, I could make deep fried turkey tenders too.

Well you're posting here for one
People say that you should make food rather than buy them, but what food products are better off being bought than being made?
cakes
Subs, sandwiches of all kinds really
Pizza
Chinese food
I shouldn't have to say this, but this is the case if you buy decent ones of all of the above

If you're broke, pesto. A jar of pre-made pesto tastes okay and costs 5$. Ingredients to make it yourself, assuming you don't have an herb garden with basil in it, could run you around 25-30$
