Looking for a game I haven't seen in years.

It involved bunnies (I think) killing each other that exploded into red chunks when they died.
Played on a 2D plane with platforms, could have had fatal waters.
Don't know anymore if it was turn-based or not.

Do you like gimmick-heavy stages? (think of pic related or treasure games) what's your opinion on them? I think they've gotten a bad rep lately but personally I find them incredibly enjoyable when done well

There is a program for running full screen only games in Window mode which also works for improving compatibility with old games https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/

You can set certain settings, like single thread affinity and frame limiting.

Both are classics. Contra will always be more fondly remembered by most because of its earlier mass market appeal. I just always enjoyed Metal Slug a bit more I guess due to the humor and art being top-notch. That sprite work is still fucking incredible.
