What are good games I can fit onto a floppy disk?
Epic Pinball.
What kind of Floppy disk?

What is the absolute worst game that you've everloved
>>3192725
Wow, that's a surprisingly hard question, I'm at a loss.
Maybe the old MMO Tibia.
JRPG fag here

Ah shit I forgot about Beyond the Beyond. I fucking loved this game when I was younger, though I always got stuck at the stupid sliding tile puzzle. I actually just replayed this game awhile ago and beat it.
How does /vr/ feel about old eroge and/or dating simulators?
Here you can see one of the more famous ones, original White Album written by Harada Udaru.
Yu-No is considered the gold standard as a game. Plenty of us have nostalgia for like True Love or Fatal Relation or even Dragon Knight and other early English translations but most "dating sims" actually fall pretty short of being "games". VNs have their own particular appeal.
it's a really sad genre of game to play. like really really sad.
not hating because i can see why people would play it. but that's some lonely ass shit, tbqh family computer.
Love 'em.

Many 3.5" floppies of old games have been corrupted by magnetic entropy and are no longer able to install their game.
Are these discs fucked forever or can you rewrite them with floppy images of the game?

I'm pretty sure any retro PC game worth anything has been archived and uploaded online by now.
Let's talk about retro flight and combat simulator games.
What's your favorite?
As far as simulators go, Pacific Strike was amazing for some aerial WW2 action back in the early days of sims.

I had F-15 Strike Eagle on my Amstrad back in the day. It was, however, shit.

How do you get good at shmups? I suck and die all the time.
Are you sposed to watch your ship more than what's going on above, so you can avoid shots? Is it just level memorization? Are there any tricks or tactics? Is it better to start with an easy game then get into harder games? What even is an easy shmup?
>>3204803
Yes.
>>3204803
Tricks, memorizing patterns, etc... Like 2D fighters, shooters kind of shrunk down into their niche fan base. So no more fun shooters you can play just for the fun of it. Now I'd guess 99% percent of players couldn't advance past the first level of a modern shooter without hitting the bomb button every few seconds.
You'll get better the more you play, just like anything else. No different than starting any other genre you're not familiar with/good at.
Well, except that shmups require a hell of a lot of focus. A second of carelessness is all it takes to die in intense situations. And if you're playing R-Type, you're going to pull your hair out when that happens near the end of the level or at a boss. Learn enemy patterns, learn the levels, and you won't have too much trouble.
Your reaction time in vidya will get a lot faster, that's always a plus. Good luck.

where did Mark Turmell and his team get off on rating players so inaccurately?

Is there a kind of "demoscene" with people making pixel art on real consoles? Kind of like chiptune makers using NES and Gameboys.

What version of Mario is this? Or is it a bootleg of some sort?
>>3202818
Looks like a typical romhack to me.

SMB for NES. Maybe a ROM hack.
I would think SMB Special but that had no scrolling.
I need some "Interesting" baseball games on systems pre-gen 5
Baseball Stars Professional for Neo geo is still one of my favorite baseball games. Also 2020 super baseball is a given.

beat me to that one
Never played a SaGa game, including PS2 which SaGa game should I start with or is the best?
Personally
SaGa 3 > SaGa Frontier 2, SaGa Frontier, Romancing SaGa
They're all worth playing but can be a bit tedious at times.
>>3202476
SaGa 3 is barely even a SaGa game man
OP should start with SaGa Frontier or Romancing SaGa 3
you could also start with SaGa 1 or 2 if you like retro jRPGs a lot.
>>3202486
That's why I said personally. It's just my opinion.
You guys ready to watch Joe Musashi on the big screen?

Always ready for another Battleship-tier flick.
A Shinobi movie could be really based!too bad it will inevitably suck
>>3202414
