He meant to say: "We was kangz and sheit", which probably is historically false but gives the negros a boost in confidence so why not just let them have this.

Thoughts on this movie?
I haven't seen it, but people keep saying it's surprisingly good and I just can't imagine how that could possibly be the case. Anyone who's seen it, please explain.
>>79352629
>I just can't imagine how that could possibly be the case.
You explain that reasoning first.
>>79352629
It's just a really well executed simple thriller that has a phenomal performance from James McAvoy.
Loses its steam towards the end though.
What did you think of Kubo?
>>79352468
great visuals, weak cliched story.
>>79352490
I disliked the Moon King's monster form, I would have preferred a proper sword fight between him and Kubo. It felt kind of anticlimactic when he just turned into some flying centipede. Didn't feel like any of the things Kubo gathered along the way even mattered since the monster was so overwhelmingly big he needed to defeat him another way.
>>79352468
I loved it, the ending fell a bit weak thoughalso the cover of The Beatles While My Guitar Gently Weeps that plays through the credits was fucking beautiful
So, most of us can agree that the first one is good (or do you think otherwise?). Are the second and third movie are that terrible? And while we are at it, what about the Animatrix?
>Females can't direct a good mov-
>>79352295
They were men when they directed this.
Also, no one says that females can't direct a good movie.
>>79352267
the first one is excellent right up until the very end where neo turns into jesus...

The Tusken Raiders believe in a boogeyman they call the Dark one, neither man nor droid but some unholy fusion of both.
Every few years he comes to their village and slaughters them by the hundreds, yet they don't know why he does this.
Time for our bi-weekly "don't save her she don't wanna be saved" how-to-fix-/tv/ hiro-sanctioned meta thread.
There's been a lot of talk about splitting /tv/, probably the same way /gif/ was split i.e. the original board remained as the contamination one (tabloids, celebrities, YouTube, general media drama etc in /tv/'s case) and a new one was made for the board's original purpose, in hopes that the new, slower, hopefully more regulated board would be better at facilitating discussion.
Other suggestions included tighter moderation on /tv/ as is, or word filters and harsher bans for the usual suspects.
Honestly I'm beginning to think the best solution would be to include it in the inevitable boards purge, seeing as how it's among the least on-topic boards, yet is large and fast and goes through a lot of bandwidth.

These meta threads do jackshit.
Just make quality posts in threads you like, and if that thread doesn't exist then you make it.
No way around it.
jannies pruned the last one, but sure... make another thread

DEUS VULT
How did they manage to screw Tarkin so badly in R1? I mean back in the days when OT was made, the CGI technology wasn't that advanced, yet Tarkin looked so real. What went wrong?
>>79352008
desu anyone who says R1 Tarkin is even remotely comparable to the real thing is insulting his memory, watch A New Hope again and pay attention to his performance.
>>79352008
The cgi Leia was pretty good in New Hope too
>>79352008
Well, ANH used a Jim Henson puppet, for one. You can never beat practical effects.
damn this was good
just watched this for the first time because it got recommended to me and it was probably the best cartoon i have ever seen. The first few episodes arent that good because of simplistic dialogues and stories but it gets better with every episode. At first i just stayed for the music and visuals since it looked unique andcomfy. Also the lore was very interesting from the start.
But after that the series suddenly has
>GOAT visuals in some episodes
>great character development
>cool lore
>very interesting backstory
>good humour (imo)
>great music
Some episodes have some elements to them that are obviously aimed at kids but that didnt bother me that much because everything else was so good. Also even though many scenes have godly animation there are also some that look shitty (probably because of budget cuts). So yeah if this was aimed at an older audience and also backed by a bigger budget this would be a contender for best show of all time imo.
Whats the consesus about it here?
>Whats the consesus about it here?
Fuck off back to /co/

I love it and it's a damn shame that there aren't more western cartoons like it. Though I suppose it was expensive to make and didn't lend itself well to merchandise whoring.
>>79351888
One of my favourite anime and like anon said, too bad there's not a lot of cartoons this good
