So, most of us can agree that the first one is good (or do you think otherwise?). Are the second and third movie are that terrible? And while we are at it, what about the Animatrix?

They were men when they directed this.
Also, no one says that females can't direct a good movie.

the first one is excellent right up until the very end where neo turns into jesus...

oh fuck

That's not how this works. They were always females. Just in a male body.
Unless they transition back.

Second one was awesome.
>>79352267
The second movie has some good parts in it, it's not as good as the first movie but it's not terrible. The third movie is where it all goes to shit.

>They were always females. Just in a male body.
That's not how biology works, anon.

Was this scene Kino? The way her head is hiding in Neos shadow.

Animatrix is kino, better than Reloaded and Revolutions.

The second movie was one giant Chrysler commercial, but it had Monica Belucci in latex
The third movie is utter metaphysical garbage with blatant religious overtones and no latex
I think otherwise. The idea for the first movie wasn't supported well by its execution. Almost every aspect of the filmmaking has aged horribly, from the wardrobe to the script (eg. "Kansas is going bye-bye" followed by coincidental dramatic thunder)

Did they ever explain how the first humans escape the Matrix in the sequels? I mean, before the red-pill, blue-pill thing is around? Or not all humans are caught in the Matrix?
Reloaded is my favorite, but I realize this is objectively incorrect. I just have fond memories of seeing it in a theater and really liking the choreography and music of the fight scenes compared to the others, particularly the chateau and highway, but obviously an exception must be made for the CGI that aged worse than milk. In terms of fight scenes it's the best, because the first one was nothing but slow mo and the third one was nothing but megaton punches.

Yes they did.

The machines unplug a few humans and throw them into Zion to rebuild it after every cycle of destruction. Zion is just another level of control for the machines to enforce their dominance over humanity, by basically giving them a little playground to think there's a chance they can reclaim the planet.
