Time to completely whore myself out with a repost. So here goes
Ok /wodg/ I bring you some good things. I've been searching for good clanbook scans (no offense Ian, I buy and bought the books when I can, but not everyone can) and I found a torrent with all the clanbooks in text only format so that you can actually read them (someone was a trooper and retyped all of that stuff)
Because that torrent had no seeds and I got them just now, I reuploaded them all to my 4shared and here are all the links, enjoy

The first time we played WoD it was a oneshot while our that-guy wasn't available. The next time was when he'd just left (hopefully) forever due to scheduling conflicts.

My friend told me I should post this thread not on on /a, but here, on /tg, cuz it's the best board in 4chan and the people here are awesome and their minds will satisfy me. Until here with the buttlicking.

I know there were probably millions of discussions about Evangelion, but I haven't read many and will appreciate intersting analysis and thoughts about its philosophy, psychology, theology, symbolism etc. Cuz a dry look might find the symbolism chaotic and meaningless, and the world views a little shallow and mundane (I don't, but I would like to read some interpretation that will help understand it).

There are so many, but I can't think of any questions right now, so just write what you got from the series, and your interpretation to parts of it, those that are pretty clear or more vague, theories and so...

This is more suited for /m/, anon. That board is all about mecha. Many of us here at /tg/ are fans of Evangelion, we made an entire game about it (when's Third Edition coming out, damn it?), but we don't really debate the symbolism and interpretations unless it's relevant to another topic

You can talk with anyone in your own vicinity. When you want to speak with a NPC directly, link to the post where OP Roleplayed as the NPC you are talking with. To talk with players that are not close to you, a trained Raven is required.

When you are doing an action follow this:
>OP tells you in his update that you are under attack by a bear that came rushing out the forest at you.
You post some light RP to explain your characters line of thoughts/reasons why you are doing what you are about to do and/or quick preparation before you post your action in this format separately from the RP:
[Players Name] > Evade
Based on how high or low the number you got in your post number, you either successfully evaded the bears charge or you got tumbled by the bear. Things like being less equipped or having armor equipped at the time will either increase or decrease the chance of evading. It is up to OP to inform players AFTER they have rolled for an action if their chances were increased or decreased based on their skills or equipments, as to not give the players a choice and to explain why they failed/succeeded. Anything is possible as long as your character can do it.

Description of the Game:
Four to Six players claim a spot in the game.
>Now you can either:
>Option A: Roll for skillpoints, with 25 being the highest. You have to clearly tell OP that you are rolling for Skillpoints. To avoid rolling forever, it will work like this; Roll a 2 or a 3 and you get Five Skill Points, 4 to 5 is Ten skill points, 6 to 7 is Fifteen skill points, 8 to 9 is Twenty Skill points, and 0 being 25. If you get a 1, you can roll again.
>You then create a character based around what stats you have filled in with your skillpoints.
Put a lot of skill points into Strength and Endurance? Make a Hedge knight, a Masteratarms, or maybe a Sellsword for some examples. Not a requirement of course.
>Option B: You make a character beforehand and then pray to the roll gods you get enough skillpoints to make your character like you initially envisioned him/her or accept 10 Skillpoints that cannot be increased or decreased.
>When you make a character include the following:
-Name
-Age
-Birthplace/Hometown
-Job/Position
-Weapons and equipments (Holds no significance as of yet, Valyrian Steel cannot be a starting item, adds +1 to appropriate skill)
-House/Faction (You can belong to any house, but if you belong to a major noble house you will have -to be either a bastard or just be working for that house as whatever it is you are. No story specific characters; ie. Lords, kings, or any factions OP denies for story purposes from the start)
-Goal/Quest (Leave it blank and I will assume the character is free to do just about anything that is still relevant to the character.)
-Prefered Starting location (This is entirely up to where OP places you to give you a chance to team up with other characters, but if you are more of a loner character, he will have a better idea where to place you if you have a prefered location.)

1 is the lowest which is always a fail now matter how high your stats are (Note that failures do not always result in your death), while 0 is the highest and always a success. 29 Can either become a failed or a successful action depending on how low or high your stats are. A roll of 7 or higher is usually a success, a 6 may succeed on various simple actions. A successful roll awards 1 skill point (2 for a 0). Every 5 skill points you recieve in a stat (10 for luck), that stat levels up. For each level after 1, a +1 bonus is rewarded to a roll in that stat.

What is with artists consistently making Slaanesh daemonettes the least attractive of the three?

Not that I mind, but it's kind of ridiculously when artists do the full set and make Slaanesh uglier than Nurgle or Khorne or Tzeentch.

Okay, I've been away from /tg/ for a while, but I have returned to ask of you a question of dread importance:
How would /tg/ stat a goo girl for fifth edition D&D?

I'm primarily curious about people's thoughts on how one would stat them as enemies (we don't have a Monstrous Manual, but we've got the free "basic" guide), but if anyone's fool enough to try outlining them as a player race, that would be awfully fun to see, too.

Goo Girls are Ooze mephits reshaped to better serve the purposes of the mage.
A Goo Girl is about 5 ft tall and weighs about 100 pounds. Goo Girls speak Common and Aquan.
Breath Weapon (su): 10 foot cone of hot, soapy caustic bubbles (this has the same effect as a Grease spell). Living creatures that fail their reflex saves are tormented by burning eyes unless they have immunity to acid or are otherwise protected; this effect imposes a -4 penalty to AC and a -2 penalty on attack rolls for 3 rounds (the save DC is Con based and includes a +1 racial bonus). This attack will extinguish small unprotected fires.
Spell-Like Abilities: once per hour a Goo Girl can hurl a Caustic Blob that functions like Melf's Acid Arrow (Caster Level 6). Once per day she can create a mass of vapors similar to a Fog Cloud spell, except that the vapors are intoxicating (Fort negates) [Variant Stinking Cloud; replace "nauseated" with "Intoxicated" in the spell description]; the save DC is Charisma based. (The fog is not flammable.)
Intoxicating Grapple: Goo Girls produce alcohol within their bodies; grappling with one is essentially the same as soaking in a vat of sake. Each round of the grapple is equivalent to drinking one mug of beer.
Fast Healing: a Goo Girl heals only if in a wet or alcholish environment.
Skills: a Goo Girl has a +8 racial bonus on any swim check to perform a special action or avoid a hazard; she can always choose to take 10 on a swim check, even if distracted or endangered; she can use the run action while swimming, provided she swims in a straight line.
Feats: the Improved Grab of a Goo Girl works against any size opponent. If she grabs an opponent equal or larger to herself in size, she is pulled into his space instead of him being pulled into hers.

Would you guys comment on/help me flesh out/tell me if it's utter shit/etc my setting?

Posted about it like a week ago, received some good advice and got asked a bunch of questions that forced me to explore cool stuff about the world. It can be summarized as:

>Tribes of mutated post humans live in some sort of Underdark. They have to deal with an aggressive enviroment and constant scarcity, as well as friction between tribes. There is magic but is either based on faith or extremely dangerous and corrupting.

So it's basically a post apocalyptic, all underground, weird fantasy setting. I've got a basic history of the world outlined, some details on how magic works, how is everyday life down below, and what kind of characters the players are going to be able to play. I will be posting all of this, and to keep everyone's attention I'll also gift you with my collection of underground images.

History of the world goes more or less like this:

>Aliens/things from another place attack humanity
>Most humans die during the conflict,(no dwarves, elves and shit) but some flee below the earth
>The surface can't host any life at all (acid atmosphere or some shit like that) as a result of the war
>With all their bridges burning, the last of what is left of humanity tries to survive in the caves and tunnels below the surface, but life is insanely harsh
>as resources are so scarce, they realize that life in large numbers can't be sustained, so they separate into smaller and smaller groups, and separate from each other as much as they can
>eventually some groups delve deeper and find that there is another sort of "underworld" below the one they were living in, a somewhat alien but more hospitable place, with strange ecosystems and huge, curiously, artificially shaped, big ass tunnels and caves systems
>here is where they settle down, the surface, the war with the outsiders, and the resulting apocalypse and exile just a distant memory in the songs of the elder
>at this moment humans start to show weird mutations, the first are subtle, but with each century humanity starts to walk on weird evolutionary paths, some regressing to an almost beast-like level of intelligence
>with mutations came friction, and each group started to isolate from the rest ("'dem scaly live beyond the chasm, and before the river are those damned mindtouchers, watch out for them, they will fuck up with your brain!"), trying to carve a living out of this harsh enviroment

At some far time in the future (maybe some millenia into it), the last of the mutated post humans would try to go back to the surface in search of their origins, but left it there.

The point of the setting is that this post humans have almost forgotten about the surface, and that they are too busy to even start thinking about stuff like where did they came from or shit like that. They are too busy hunting cave worms for their meat, tending to their 'shrooms plantations, and patrolling the corridors and caves outside their settlements in search of warbands of mutants from hostile settlements or dangerous creatures indigenous to the underworld. The mutated descendants of humanity don't live, they survive. Everything is expensive to them, except life, life's cheap, at least outside of the relative safety of the settlements.

Settlements are small and humble, for the most part, but at least they keep you safe while you sleep. Some settlements are xenophobic and or isolated, and slay anyone/anything that gets too near to them. Others are more welcoming of other mutants "races". Post-humans don't wage wars, all conflicts are a matter of skirmishes, raids, and small conflicts, no one wants to risk too much. Sure, there is the odd full scale attack here and there, but its not the rule.

Besides some mutants having weird mental capabilities, there is algo "magic". Magic is obtained by making a deal with an entity from beyond, from another plane or universe, and the deal is usually gross, like accepting a parasite living inside your neck in exchange for your powers: you give them entrance and a chance to live in our plane for some time, and they give you their (for them common) reality changing skills. Magic is dangerous though, and can sometimes backfire on the user and its sorrounding, corrupting them and turning them into hideous monsters more resembling their parasitic magic patrons, or dangerously warping reality around them, destroying stuff and people.

There is also another sort of magic, the setting’s equivalent of “divine” magic. For most settlements, faith in something (whatever, basically) is a big thing. Some are into ancestor worship, others into some sort of animism, others believe in some deity or entity from beyond, others worship their leaders, etc. Thing is no one knows for sure if there is anyone/anything out there looking out for the settlement, they just have a lot of faith in whatever they believe in and weird things start happen to some of them. This “Chosen Ones” get the ability to perform miracles and get insight from their subject of worship, but without the risk of corruption that haunts other magic users. Thing is that they cannot do whatever they want with their powers, and if they stray away from the tenets of their faith, they won’t loose all of their powers, but they won’t be protected against corruption anymore.

What I had in mind to explain what actually happens with faith and “divine” magic is that all mutants are slightly psionic, right? But they just don’t know it, and even if they found out about it, they wouldn’t be able to do anything with their psionic capabilities. The “Chosen Ones” of each settlement/cult are actually unusually psi-receptive individuals that can “tap” into the collective reserves of psionic energy that the community as a whole gathers through faith and channel them into magic, without having to deal with extra-dimensional outsiders.

Discussion of Custom Pokemon Medieval Fantasy setting.

Basic premise: You play as Pokemon in a Medieval type Pokemon society in some kind of post-apocalyptic Kanto (i.e. no trainers or humans of any kind). Imagine a Pikachu Paladin or something along those lines, perhaps mounted Pika cavalry riding Nidoran into battle, or Flying Pika Air support mounted on flying Pidgeottos. Certain Pokemon have become intelligent and civilized, others remain wild and untamed.

I'd like to continue discussing ideas regarding what kinds of cultures and dominant ideologies certain Pokemon would have, such as Meowth developing a civilization that is driven by their greed, making them violent or opportunistic, Totodile being river raiders, etc.

Also, I was wondering what people thought of the idea of basing the Pokemon cultures within Kanto/Johto/Sinnoh/Hoenn on Feudal Japan, with Samurai and shit, and keep the European Fantasy stuff like Paladins and Knights confined to the Kalos region? I like this idea, but am not sure if it's a bit too limiting. Would Pokemon even realistically act Japanese if they suddenly became human-like. The series didn't seem to show those regions as being super Japanese culturally I don't think, but I'm not Pokemon expert.

Anyway, discuss ideas, draw some pictures, write some history fluff on wars waged between Pikachus and Meowths and Rattata civilizations. Give me your best /tg/

Unfortunately other things got in the way and I haven't got as far into this as I would have liked. That said, I have some jumping off points. First, I want to start on the Eastern edge of Kanto, probably around the Power Plant (to give an idea of what Pokemon are typically found there). The party is 5 individuals, and I definitely want there to be at least a Pikachu, Rattata, and Sandshrew, with the other two being either an Elekid, Cubone, Farfetch'd or Bidoof. I haven't decided on what classes each character would be yet, so I leave that to you if you'd like. Additionally, these are starter, barely trained greenhorns being sent out on what is most likely their first mission of clearing out an Ekans den, or dealing with a Mankey raiding party or something, just to give an idea that their equipment would be starter equipment and basic. Speaking of equipment, I may have discussed this before, but I thought it'd be cool if some Pokemon cultures used parts of other Pokemon as armor/ weapons, such as Krabby / Kingler shell armor or shields, Goldeen horns as spear tips, etc. Just a thought. The more technologically advanced civilizations may not do this, but it'd be cool if the lower tech civs did.

Anyway, those are just some general thoughts. Feel free to take artistic liberty, choose other species of Pokemon from around the same area, etc.

Hopefully I'll have better, more completely fleshed out characters soon.

Pokemon wandering around post-apocalyptic Kanto is a pretty great setting. Alien structures are always cool.
I'd like to see a diversity of species even among tribes(ex: a few Squirtle and Marill alongside the Totodile raiders). A completely uniform group seems boring when there are 700 different Pokemon to choose from.
Good luck, OP. I'm looking forward to what could be in store.
