Okay, I've been away from /tg/ for a while, but I have returned to ask of you a question of dread importance:
How would /tg/ stat a goo girl for fifth edition D&D?

I'm primarily curious about people's thoughts on how one would stat them as enemies (we don't have a Monstrous Manual, but we've got the free "basic" guide), but if anyone's fool enough to try outlining them as a player race, that would be awfully fun to see, too.

Goo Girls are Ooze mephits reshaped to better serve the purposes of the mage.
A Goo Girl is about 5 ft tall and weighs about 100 pounds. Goo Girls speak Common and Aquan.
Breath Weapon (su): 10 foot cone of hot, soapy caustic bubbles (this has the same effect as a Grease spell). Living creatures that fail their reflex saves are tormented by burning eyes unless they have immunity to acid or are otherwise protected; this effect imposes a -4 penalty to AC and a -2 penalty on attack rolls for 3 rounds (the save DC is Con based and includes a +1 racial bonus). This attack will extinguish small unprotected fires.
Spell-Like Abilities: once per hour a Goo Girl can hurl a Caustic Blob that functions like Melf's Acid Arrow (Caster Level 6). Once per day she can create a mass of vapors similar to a Fog Cloud spell, except that the vapors are intoxicating (Fort negates) [Variant Stinking Cloud; replace "nauseated" with "Intoxicated" in the spell description]; the save DC is Charisma based. (The fog is not flammable.)
Intoxicating Grapple: Goo Girls produce alcohol within their bodies; grappling with one is essentially the same as soaking in a vat of sake. Each round of the grapple is equivalent to drinking one mug of beer.
Fast Healing: a Goo Girl heals only if in a wet or alcholish environment.
Skills: a Goo Girl has a +8 racial bonus on any swim check to perform a special action or avoid a hazard; she can always choose to take 10 on a swim check, even if distracted or endangered; she can use the run action while swimming, provided she swims in a straight line.
Feats: the Improved Grab of a Goo Girl works against any size opponent. If she grabs an opponent equal or larger to herself in size, she is pulled into his space instead of him being pulled into hers.

So, in my perverse Madness, I have decided to Build a Slime Girl, because if theere was a Slime Girl for everyone on the planet there would be no wars. I mean come on, who would not want to be cuddled into unconsciousness by something like this:

That said, let continue.

With Dragon#304, there is the spell Awaken Ooze, which helps with the problem of having an Intelligent Ooze, sense most of the few Oozes that exist in the game our Mindless, and those that are intelligent have quite a few HD. For some reason the spell makes them into Aberrations, though they still retain the Ooze traits minus the Mindless ability and the immunities that come with it, so it is all fine. With a Living Spell, we can have a Ooze with 1HD if the spell(s) have 1 CL, which will convert into a Class Level, giving me a Race playable from Lv1.

Naturally for any Slime Girl, my goal is to make her a Grappler. The Spells used to make the Ooze automatically affect anything it touches, giving great synergy. There are quite a few good 1st lvl spells out there to make into a Living Spell, and it is possible to stack them on top of each other, but for this character, whom is going to be a Apostle of Peace, I have decided to go with Hypnotism (from Wizard), Calm Emotions (from Consecrated Harrier), and Lullaby (from Bard). No, I do not know what insane individual thought that hodgepodge of classes was a good idea, and honestly do not care. I would go with Charm Person or an equivalent, but only spells that effect areas can become Living Spells, not Targeting Spells. That said, If anyone knows a method to make a Charm Spell have a area effect, please share as I will be most grateful. Regardless, the Apostle of Peace Class Feature which has a no save Calm Effect with contact also synergies with Grappling.

Hmm. Not surprising that there aren't any stats for 5E yet, since the only Ooze monster with official rules so far is the Ochre Jelly, but I'd still be keen to see someone take a crack at it.

Failing that, though, it appears that Google can turn up at least one rough set of outlines for converting 3e monsters to Next (which isn't ideal, but is close enough for government work).

How has nobody mentioned the kinkiest thing about oozes yet: splitting in two?

The one ooze in the starter set adventure splits in two if it takes lightning or slashing damage. It only splits if it has half or more of its max HP, and each half receives half of the original's HP, so it only splits once (unless there's something around that can heal them.)

If you want to make one unique, just take the stats for any other ooze and make it a weirdo that happens to shape itself like a girl. That would sort of explain why it's all alone without any kind of culture or community of slime-people. Maybe an insane wizard made an ooze sleep inside a girl-shaped mold until it got stuck that way, or maybe it ate a powerful female sorcerer and picked up her likeness.

Or, wait, why are you even doing this? So your players can jerk off to it? Or so you can?

...okay, premise for a campaign's first adventure.


Goo girls (and related monsters) are generally benign, but they've been acting up recently. Some people have been hurt (or possibly killed) in attacks from these normally-peaceful creatures.

Investigations ensue. Encounters, naturally, prominently feature goo girls and the like. The problem is ultimately traced back to what turns out to be a kind of crude religious center for the (relatively) intelligent slime creature species, which is conveying the displeasure of the slime goddess, who is upset that the other gods keep messing up the heavens so much, forcing unreasonable amounts of cosmic housecleaning on her.

Evil characters can solve the problem (for the area, at least -- and what do they care about the rest of the world?) by wiping out the congregation.
Good characters can solve it just by passing along the word to clerics of other gods because the other gods are really only causing problems for the slime goddess because they don't pay enough attention to her to notice that she's upset. But they /do/ pay attention to their own worshipers.

Goo People traits
a hardy but naive people, originally a wizard experiment these people are vary strange indeed tough beyond compare able to reform their bodies at will based on their desires.
ability score increase. +2 to constitution and +1 to wisdom
Age goo people can live a vary long time almost 500 years if not killed and mature fully by at 10 years.
Alignment, goo people tend toward neutral putting their needs first and good as they enjoy helping others who don't show hostility to them
Size, goo people are usually medium size but see below
Speed your base walking speed is 30 feet
Languages, common and one other

Goo Body: your body is made up of a vary fluid material that as a bonus action you may reform to another shape. You may become a small creature but not a large creature. You may also become a pool of goo which allows you to squeeze through tight crevasses in this form you prone and can only move 10 feet at a time, no matter what form you take you always have the same hit point total. Additionally you need not eat to live only the cool sustenance of water is necessary for your survival.

Goo resistance: you have resistance to pricing attacks, also if hit with a pricing melee weapon attack the target must make a strength save to pull the weapon out of you. You use your constitution modifier for this save.

Goo regeneration: once per day as a bonuses you can reinvigorate your body to reform its self. you gain regeneration 2 for a number of rounds equal your constitution modifier.
