Kinda disappointed. Where are the good Primarchs like Sangunius or Guilliman?
I wish for more Sangunius
A dark sun looms over a sky darkened by swarms of ships and sub-capitols, the shadows of capitol ships drifting overhead. The atmosphere was smoggy with fumes and smoke from flesh farms and ship factories toiling for the Necrotic Armada.
Lich-Lord Jadyk stands on the prow of a cruiser as it descends from his fleet to the world the Undying Court used to hold session. He spies the jagged hull of the Voidknights, sensing Voidlord Ghul already landing. Ships from the Red Rot, the Whispered, the Puppeteers, and many others of the Necrotic Armada filling the air. He even spots the ethereal forms of Akka-Tor's Wraiths drifting past, her forces needing no ships to descend from their ships in orbit.
A shudder runs through him, mandibles making up his mouth chittering in annoyance as the Lightdrinker herself drifts through his latest body. Shaking his head at the grin she sported he nonetheless offers a bow, "Greetings Akka-Tor. I was not expecting you to show to be honest," your voice traveling despite the airless void.
The human appearing ghost drifts around the Lich, a shocked gasp then soft laugh reaching him, "Am I really that unreliable?" she asks with a smirk, the tendrils trailing from her shifting form writhing in an unfelt breeze.
A ghostly hand trails along Jadyk's shoulders and he shifts, "Apologies. I thought you were busy with your campaign?"
Akka-Tor clicks her tongue as they descend, "Yes, but to ignore a summons from the Undying Court itself? Unforgivable," she sounds chastising yet grins, "I wish to learn more about these new enemies. Is it true they have already destroyed the fleet of the Plaguedrinkers?"
Jadyk nods, horn-like antennae twitching, "Unfortunately. None of their diseases worked. "Black of shell with crimson eyes and wings." Hardly a threat to our Grand Necrotic Armada, the Plaguedrinkers were a minor fleet," the Lich says with confidence as he looks over the crumbling planet below.
The ghost nods, "Hardly a threat, I'm sure."

You are SAMANTHA SMITH, formerly a rather tubby human girl with a penchant for playing vidya and memorizing rather useless trivia, you met a rather untimely end after standing on unstable ground and taking a tumble that left your head split open like an overripe melon, luckily for you however the universe works in strange ways, and you were reborn in a new world, except this time you were a little more… Feathery…
Reborn as a harpy to a legendary monster mother with beautiful white plumage, named Ariel, and a rugged, battle-scarred, former adventurer father named Steven. You have just come close to the end of your third day of wandering the world, from a clutch of four eggs so far three of you have hatched, yourself, your unnamed twin, and your older sister Ciel.
Your family, sans Mother and Eggy, had to head out and gather some supplies from the nearby town, where you had a rather interesting adventure, hiding from all kinds of powerful monsters in the forest, heading to town, seeing all kinds of people this world has to interact with, meeting with several of your father’s old adventuring buddies, getting the best perch in the house, and then getting dragged back off by Dad. Your return to the nest was a little difficult due to a sudden downpour in your home forest but now your whole family is inside the little stick and wood hut portion of the nest you have dubbed your “Parent’s room”.
Your mother smiles warmly at you from the feathered “bed” with an expression of knowing something as you, your father, and sister enter…

Dice System is 1d100, Best of 3 rolls, Roll over the DC.
There are sometimes multiple DCs to a single roll ranging from Critical Fail-Major Fail-Failure-Success-Major Success-Critical Success.
There will be roughly 10-15 minutes for voting and updates will take place on average of 20-40 minutes after I call the vote.
After all sessions I will stick around for Q&A. Feel free to ask me silly questions, tell jokes, and hang out with your QM.
HOLY SHIT, It feels weird to be back so forgive me if I am a little slow, and my writing feels a bit off. But man does it feel good. I want to thank everyone who decides that putting up with my shit is worth it and for returning with me. As always OP is a faggot.

It's actually pretty awesome, Allowing for a very dynamic map, without actually needing some three dimensional map.
The obvious issue is that it will only look good from two angles and those two angles don't agree with each other on which parts are higher.

Thanks, I was thinking of how LOS should be resolved though. Maybe people on edge squares can see/shoot down all levels except for those behind a wall 2 levels down, then an additional square behind the wall every level
hmm
You mutter irritably to yourself as you stomp forward, digging neat rows of holes into the hard earth.
You aren't certain if you've shrunk, or if the wheat has grown, or what, exactly has happened here- But you have decided, with the utmost certainty of someone reaching the limits of patience, that you do not, in fact, care.
Either you get a good meal and a good fight- and not necessarily in that order- or someone is gonna pay.
Another brainless weasel comes out of the wheatwork, and you smash its skull in passing, leaving a jittery corpse throwing up clouds of dirt.
You can't see the next portal, which means you're limited to trying to find it- You thought about tossing Jin up, but decided against it soon enough- She'd either be flying beneath the canopy- and not doing anything you couldn't- or she'd be above it, and unable to see the portal or you, most likely.
And so, you're slogging through a wheat forest, your stomach is starting to grumble, and your inner torrent of vengeful oaths has become an outer torrent of angry spider muttering.
>This is only this bad because you're letting it get to you. Try something else(What?)

Last time you severely screwed over the poor and helpless Vek. You THOUGHT you were doing him a favor with getting him a girlfriend and some treasures. Who would of thought that the crit fail for once wouldn't effect you? So Vek is otherwise occupied and out of desperation you turned to your lover for those plans of hers...no really you totally did.
Its not like you want to get them out of the way because Vek is otherwise occupied and your plans sorta failed massively. You kinda doubt Vek is ever gonna forgive you for this...and your not entirely looking forward to what he will come up with for the sake of payback.
Alas your lover apparently was caught offguard by the sudden request and muttered about moving in and having a wild time...
Turned out all she had planned was moving you in after swapping out the bed for a smaller one and moving other stuff around to make room for your stuff. Apparently the rest of it she has to wait for Vek for some reason.
This gives you a bad feeling...

As the screeching from the gash in the floor grows closer, Profectus shoulders past you to take up position at the front of the crevice. He positions his shield over the gash and rest his foot on top, bearing his full weight on the back of the shield while sticking his stone hand into a narrow gap left uncovered by the ornately carved steel. Cracks form in the polished surface of his marble arm, great fissures ripping themselves open to reveal the liquid fire roiling beneath the surface.
He begins to gather his vys, heat rolling off his arm even as molten rock drips from the tears in his stone flesh. There's a muted flash from the other side of the shield, the glow of his arm intensifying to the point that he's painful to look at. It last for only a few moments but leaves the stone around his arm cracked and glowing an angry red.
Seconds pass in silence as your party waits to see if Profectus succeeded in killing off whatever it was that was down there. Finally, he drags his hand out of the crack in the ground. It's coated in black rock, immobilized, but he manages to erode away the excess without too much trouble. The cracks in his hand are thinner than those in his arm, a web of thin glowing lines rather than great canyons filled with molten rock.
Finally, after the silence stretches on for a while longer, Profectus stands up and retrieves his shield. Where once a jagged hole covered in some manner of slime seemed to be your only passage forward, Profectus has carved a tunnel of smooth black glass. The glowing has subsided, but even from several feet away and encased in a suit of armor the heat is oppressive.

>Combat Initiated!
>Enemy Turn
>Enemies Remaining: 6x Bugs
>Allies: Profectus, Darzi, Fulvia
>Status: Unharmed
A glob of some thick, mucosal substance hurtles from the hole in the ground, smacking Profectus square in the back of the head despite his rather preternatural attempt to block it with his shield. It seeps between the cracks in his armor, quickly solidifying into a layer of white stone, or something quite similar to stone. Three more globs of the stuff shoot from the hole, none doing any significant damage but one managing to glue Profectus' foot to the ground. As he tries to retreat he stumbles, falling to the ground. That's when the creatures pounce.
Hurtling from the glass tunnel is a blue-headed creature coated in a thick red carapace. The tips of its legs end in sharp points, and its pedipalps drips some sort of viscous black ooze. They spread wide to reveal a set of jaws split down the middle, the teeth on either side ominously sharp. It lunges forward to bite Profectus but a screen lowers over his face, thus preventing any harm.
>Your Turn!
>Enemies Remaining: 6x Bugs
>Allies: Profectus (Stuck), Darzi, Fulvia
>Status: Unharmed
(2/3)
Profectus rips his sword from its sheathe but pinned down by the creature's weight, it would stand nearly at your waist, he can't manage to do any significant damage. He does hack into the side of the creature's bulbous abdomen, shattering its carapace there to reveal the pale flesh beneath, blue blood oozing slowly from the wound.
>Seal the hole to prevent any more of the bastards from getting out. You trust Darzi and Fulvia to deal with the one pinning Profectus down.
>Skewer the one attacking Profectus with your trident. Destroying a creature's soul is generally a pretty assured way to kill them.
>Now seems like the perfect occasion to try out that shortsword that carved through stone you retrieved from the assassin that tried to kill your brother.
>There seems to be quite a few of them packed into pretty close confines down there. Shooting a bolt of lightning down the hole might just kill the lot of them.
>Write-in
You are a Construct, an autonomous creature built from steel, and given life by ancient magic and modern ingenuity. Unlike most, you have mistakenly achieved sentience, and have received civil rights. You are also a detective with the city police.
You come out of low-power mode right on time, and dress yourself in your usual fashion, from simple jeans to cheap t-shirt. You take the bus to work, same as anyday, and arrive ten minutes late, as usual. Before entering the precinct, the only thing out of the ordinary about the day is the lack of a homeless person taking up the sidewalk beside the stone steps at work. But when you enter the precinct and greet Officer Sutherland at the front desk, only to hear her say the worst two words you can hear working this job, you have to hang your metal head. It's time for a morning meeting.

Give her the ole' eyeballing.
Easier with eyes that are literally headlamps!
"Sera, I need you to stay behind and look after your brother."
"But why can EBBA go, while I can't? I'm older than her, dad! And Galit's staying behind anyway!"
You've been dreading this conversation ever since you decided who to bring. Sera is red-faced and torn between hurt and fury. "Sera, I need you to stay behind BECAUSE you are the older sister! Ebba isn't old enough to mind the family yet and there are things she can learn from this journey."
Sera stamps her foot and your magical touch-sight can feel her jabbing a finger at you. "There's barely more than a year between us! And some family it'll be to watch with just Noh and Galit! Brother isn't a helpless baby and Galit is completely able to look after herself! Why don't you want me to go? This is the first chance I've had to do anything with you and mother since you lost your sight, apart from just plucking fish out of the river!"
"I know you're frustrated, believe me, I understand," you sigh. If not for her normal behavior, you'd be starting to lose your patience with Sera's defiance by now. "I promise you, you will learn to hunt. If not from me, then from the best teacher I can find for you."
"Who then? Mesut? Dad, I don't WANT to learn from him-!"
"No. Not Mesut. Soqed. I don't care what offering I have to make to get him to accept you as part of his pack, if it'll help you learn what you seek, I'll do it. Do you understand?"
That silences your spirited daughter. She hangs her head, her arguments defeated by the generous offer. "I- Thank you, dad. Of course, that would be... But really, I just want to learn from you..."
>>44774805
You place a hand on Sera's head and gently pet her dark hair. She's a good child and will grow up well, but your disability frustrates you both. "If this goes well, I may one day be able to hunt with you, Sera. But for now, I need you to watch the home. Can you do that for me?"
She sighs, but nods, hugging you tightly. "You'd better come back alive," she growls threateningly. "No messing with magic this time."
"I promise," you nod. "I'll come home safe and sound."
You join your brother, wife and second-born daughter, ready to leave after bidding Noh a tearful farewell. For a boy of seven, he's still very emotional and attached to you. Elia and Galit also say their goodbyes, but unless your ears deceive you, they almost seem... Strained. Maybe so many years is finally starting to weigh on Elia's mind? Galit hasn't even given him any children, for goodness sake!
The four of you take your belongings and set out. You reach the river in fairly good time and can see the herders camp on the far side. Honestly, if it wasn't for Nila's natural barrier between you, they'd be uncomfortably close. You cock your head, listening to the river for a moment, before you sense Beren staring a hole in the back of your head. You clear your throat.
"Let's... Let's go find a crossing, shall we?"
You don't want to walk into that lion's den again! You're pretty sure you heard her slip the pestle into her travelling bag...
>>44774813
nice to see you back.
did you ever do the update after this one? we agreed to kind of try and do a cultural exchange, heal/practice as much as possible their people and talk tech exchange. Healing for trade, see what they know. blah blah all deh goodies
>>44774813
You and the group proceed upriver, cross at a relatively shallow ford and then return. It's certainly a lot slower, but with Beren to hand, you don't want to take any un-necessary risks. You all have a moment of brief panic as Ebba slips away from your group as you cross and ducks under the water that still runs strong and knee-deep to you, but moments later, she re-appears, soaked to the skin, but apparently un-touched by the current. "I just wanted to say hello to ma," she explains, when asked why she let go of the group.
Beren looks very much like she wants to scold the girl, but you've all learned long ago that when it comes to the river, your daughter is almost impossible to pin down. She feels as at home there as she does in the village, possibly even more so!
After a little less than a month's travel, you arrive at the herder's camp. Their homes are small and simple and their belongings light enough to carry, but they do not appear significantly less advanced than your people. Their way of life provides them with what they need, just as yours does for you. As they see you approach at first, they are wary, but welcoming. Then they see you among the visitors and a note of worry enters the strange words you hear and they at once become much more guarded. A few of the children flee for the safety of their parents legs.
"Well that's a start," Elia observes. "How do you want to go from here, brother?"
>Stride into their camp unafraid and find the one who looks the most in-charge
>Let Beren lead the others in, while you wait a good distance away
>Approach, but stop on the outskirts and see if you get anyone coming to you
>Just call out from where you are, a short distance from their homes.

This I feel to be true.
So /tg/ i've noticed that there really is a lack of material for /tg/ related Native American lore, art & games as well as generally a lack of American (North/Central/South) mythology that permeates a lot of modern fantasy. And normally when it does it's mingled with the Anglo-american/european influence
I'm building up a folder for a game i'm going to be running regarding an several tribes along the Mississippi & an apocalyptic event as well as another game regarding trade wars along the Rio Grande. So far all i can find /tg/ related are a few Mayan & Aztec CYOA's & splats
Perhaps its better to imagine the thread as Native American Fantasy. Or a fantasy setting where the Europeans never arrived or did much further down the line.
That & admittedly i love the idea of stone weapons & tools being high quality gear while actual iron tools would be the stuff of legends.
>>44774291
The only monsters that come to mind that have actually appeared in fantasies & gaming are probably thunderbirds & Windingos. Then again i'll admit to know knowing much about native american myths or monsters.
The inuit have a few cool creatures. But you can always count on people who live in an area of purpetual harshness & misery to come up with some cool shit.
Qalupalik hang out near the water wearing baby carrying parka & steal away children who stray away from home or gather too near to open water without escort.
So I've been playing X-Wing for a couple months now, put in a decent number of games running a list of 4 TIES + whatever else. Sometimes two interceptors, sometimes Vader in his Advanced. Also got the Shuttle because it's cool. I've won an okay number of games but I'm almost positive I've lost a lot more often than I've won. Any general tips for improving my game?
Also I want to try out this list because I have a hardon for Interceptors.
Soontir Fel
Royal Guard TIE (0)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Carnor Jax
Royal Guard TIE (0)

Oh and yeah, general X-Wing thread
why do you have an engine upgrade on your interceptors? They come with a boost. I would recommend throwing a stealth device on them, and that should free up a couple of points for a decent initiative bid.
Like >>44774323 said, those engine upgrades are a waste of 8 points, anon.
Throw Stealth Devices on instead.
>>44774213
The engine upgrades aren't supposed to be on there at all. Squad builder is a shit and added them for some reason.

I want to make a "clerical error" pun so badly, but I don't know how. Please help.

Just use the term clerical error in any situation that includes clerics.
Could Umberlee turn sailors undead?
For example, would it make sense if she punished a ship with a stowaway priestess of Umberlee by causing them to get lost in fog and then resurrecting the sailors when they've killed each other out of madness?

I kind of want to run a one-shot set on a giant boat now.
