Tell me about the lizard people of your setting.
Slaving conquistadors from a Night Lands style apocalyptic distant future, trapped in the present after chasing down the ancient Mayan vampires who traveled to the end of time to make war on them
>>47488526
They're dragons.
A vanity project by Grafters back in the days before the fall, a thousand years ago. However they, like many beast people, survived by breeding true. Unlike many beast people who know they are part Human, the Lizans think they were lizards uplifted by the Gods. The fact they have a human base is how I justify Lizard Tits.
Have you practiced your Necromancy today?
>>47506153
I get to it later later mom, I have a whole eternity to practice.
>>47506153
Maan I remember getting to that level on some maps. Two-three years ingame time. Shit was insaaane. (also being underage fool I still tried spamming direct damage spells)
>>47506153
Wat game?
Should paladins be able to lie?
>>47500046
A Paladin should act with law, justice and goodness in his heart.
If that involves lying to protect the innocent when he has no other recourse, so be it.
>>47500046
Of course. Their legs would get tired if they couldn't.
>>47500046
Lying is against the codes of honor and chivalry, and as such a Paladin should never speak anything but the truth. Sometimes it'll be a pain but it's their duty.

What exactly is the machine spirit? Is it a legit life form? Does it have a warp presence?
>>47487010
It's 40k, so it's not very well defined. Sometimes it's just an AI that does all the work but has been mystified, other times it could actually be a soul of a machine. It could also just be a thing the mechanicus drones on about to make sure no one delves too deeply into making AI again. It could go either way with 40k
There is no mashine spirit.
They just have no idea how their shit works anymore. And instead of reverse engineer it and learn it anew they have their little piece left of what once was.
And don't come with it would be corrupted then. No. It get's corrupted because they just don't know what to do anymore. The Tau have corruption free tech because they understand it and aren't stuck in a loop of stagnation.
Someone please post the battleship AI shitting the Admech Priest together
>>47487010
There's a screencap i don't have on my phone any more but all machines have a presence in the warp that grows with time and use and "true relics" do indeed possess limited sentience

>>47477913
I'm sure it was something nice. It was basically large swaths of Lordaeronian farmland.
>>47477913
it was just part of Lordaeron. I'd say Northeron, but that was eventually retconned into the Hinterlands
Authorfag here, only just found your thread on Diversity Dungeons and it's archived already, but I thought I'd address a few things.
1. It's meant seriously, though the cover is a bit of a pisstake (and bait).
2. Yes, much of the booklet is common sense and obvious to reasonable and intelligent people - but how many of those do you know?
3 - I thought I made it clear that the statistics thing wasn't meant to be implemented, but as a demonstration - in fact - of why it shouldn't be. My bad.
4 - You seem very interested in my politics. I'm an anarchist in the sense that I consider that an ideal - but a currently unattainable one. That same set of ideals leads me to socialism as a more pragmatic solution to the problem of maximum freedom and equality of opportunity. People mistake socialism for state totalitarianism while I have the disadvantage of a formal education in political science and history :-/
5 - A bunch of allegations were made. None of them were valid and I think at least one of the people involved may be mistaking me for someone else. Never harassed anyone, not a rape apologist, argued with people certainly but frankly I have no idea who rumourfag was talking about or the situations they're talking about. 90% certain they're mistaking me for someone else (or making shit up).
6 - 'Cathedral of Misogyny' was an affectionate pisstake. Not an attack, though I do think 4chan dropped the ball during the whole Gamergate thing.
Happy to answer any questions on any aspects of this.
fag harder!
I guess being on the 'normal' side of the great blue has got me lagging behind on current memes. But eh, what is this supposed to be?
This hard enough? :P
In any science fiction setting, do you like psychic abilities? Why or why not?
Yes, adds variety, otherwise all you've got is varying flavors of dudes with guns. While guns are cool, I have guns in real life, so I can experience the dudes with guns thing any time I choose to. I don't need to pretend to be a dude with guns.

No. It's almost always a half-assed attempt at adding magic to a genre that is, in no small way, made what it is by an absence of anything but the material. If you're going to do it, just go all out and go urban or science fantasy. We need more Shadowrun.

Do you guys allow vaping at the table? Why/why not?
>>47495703
D&D generally revolves around a group of friends who get together to play. People who vape have no friends, so this is essentially a non-issue.
>>47495703
Sure. Shits cool, usually the host let's us try his different flavors
>>47495725
Fuck you man. Me and my crew love vaping round the table. We got thc oil for it it so it doesn't taste bad like smoking a joint
>>47495703
I treat it the same way I do smoking. Not at my table.
Course, I've only ever had one smoker in my group, and he would just have a smoke when we were grabbing pizza.
So, yesterday night we had our weekly game. The GM is taking a bit from a Berserk arc, and we have to save a secluded mountain village from a horde of ghouls, however said ghouls were created by a special ritual and cannot be harmed by normal weapons. So, the GM has us explore the forest and find a witch, and she gift each one of us a special magic weapon. Like I said, it was heavily based off Berserk.
And everyone is having fun, until the witch gives our pally her weapon, which is described as a "foreign blade", with a blade "tinted red, slender and curved, and impossibly sharp" and almost as tall as she is. Then the weapon is further described as having a black, laquered wood scabbard, a round guard and a handle wrapped in silk cord and shark skin.
Then another of the players (rogue) goes like "c'mon, a fucking katana?" The GM asks him to keep the meta quiet until the scene is finished, but the rogue player keeps interrupting about how he hopes she (the pally player) gets the proper penalties, then says he hopes the game won't become a "weaboo circklejerk" and just refuses to shut up, even after the pally player says she really likes the idea.
>tfw the game gets derailed to fuck over such dumb shit and both the GM and the Rogue player get pissed off at each other, and both called each other "neckbeard".
>muh western knight can't be taited by inferior katana
Typical westaboo shit

>the proper penalties
What penalties? Kick that rogue faggot for thinking one sharpened piece of steel is somehow worse than another

You are Second Lieutenant Samuel Fischer of the USMC, and you are following one of the basic precepts of modern combat: hunger waits for nobody. The walk to the mess is relatively uneventful, aside from having to toss salutes in the direction of a couple of RAF pilots, and surprisingly enough that Danish pilot you saw running from Helga’s room. Both of you quickly break eye-contact and pointedly ignore each other as soon as possible. No need to dredge up anything about the utter clusterfuck that was this morning. The smell of eggs and steak greets your nostrils; a sign of just how busy Tea Drinking Station was going to be in the coming months.
Grabbing a tray and getting a healthy serving of breakfast, you maneuver through the packed mess hall towards the table you usually occupy with your fellow squadron pilots. Malinowski and Foss are already there, with your RIO chattering a mile a minute and making odd hand gestures that you assumed had something to do with the hot and blue falcon worthy sex he’d had last night. Some people had all the fucking luck. Barging into the seat next to Malinowski, you listen in as you grab the pepper to liberally smother your otherwise tasteless eggs in.
“Then she grabbed the bed post and -” Foss makes a motion with his hands that seems to indicate something that’s pretty much physically impossible if you have a spine. “Seriously, I thought I’d die and then she uh”
You kick his shins under the table to get him to shut the fuck up instead of prattling on about his sex life. As he winced, you turned over to Malinowski. “So, how was your morning?”
>>47492627
The middle aged Pole shrugged. “Normal, aside from the scuffle with the captain.”
You nodded, sipping your piping hot coffee. “I guess that was my fault. I didn’t really think she’d snap like that.”
“When she-hulk groping you, no time for calm.” Malinowski raised his eyebrow in your direction. “Why her?”
You shrug. “Anje thought that she was the best choice. Helga and Foss might just find common ground though, should introduce them.”
“Introduce me to who?” Foss interjects.
