Queen of Radiant Wood when edition
According to our rumormonger, the all new Sylvaneth will appear in June, man all I want is Durthu in lore, he is monster definitely Mannfred/Thundertusk/Bastiladon tier.
First for Kroak
I hope when the new slyvaneth come out it's still possible to make an army entirely of tree-dudes. I wasn't a big fan of the half-elves in that artwork. Did seem to be dryads/big dryads with weapons (one with a glaive, one with a bow) in the allarielle piece, so hopefully it's possible.
Sadly after the excitement of silver tower we're in a bit of a releases lull, with just that hero box, then the next two weeks are paints and 40k terrain.
>>47420245
apparently there's a whole bunch of stuff coming in june.
Elf Edition
Join the stunty leeg lads, it's starting very soon. Congratulations to everyone who made it to the playoffs as well.

My players just killed themselves a nice fancy dragon with the help of a small army and some intuition, so as a reward they got to pick it clean of resources, well the party mage asked me "do the scales have any magical properties?" and i took a page from dark souls and said the scales have life magic, in the sense that they are a powerful ingredient to make health spells or potions, or if turned into an armor would grant healing. They're trying to decide wether to make armors for all of them, or sell it and get rich.
But it got me thinking, what else could work like this? what other things could you harvest from magical creatures that have special effects? Do phoenix feathers cure illness? does fairy dust help you fly?
what have you done in your games like this?
>>47452782
No, because I don't want the characters becoming walking butcher's shops. That's what's going to happen if you reward collecting monster parts for later use.
The tip of a unicorn horn is infinitely sharp, handle with care.
>>47452782
dragon scales are fireproof
unicorn horns boost magic
phoenix feathers boost fire power
fairy dust grants flight (only when thinking happy thoughts)
keep things obvious
How does /tg/ like your space battles? Do you go for some semblance of realism or just go all out pew pew?
>>47447356
Only game I've ever had space battles in was in Rogue Trader, where void shields, defence turrets and ludicrously large and study vessels means you can ignore the "dead by debris" aspect.
Though fire, decompressurisation and boarding were all vitally important.

Why are elfs the best? And what is your favourite kind of elf? Are there any <adjective> elves in your setting which stand out from the rest? Do you keep elf subtypes to a minimum, or is every elf clan a different 'type' of elf?
>>47452159
My favorite elves were like the Huns or Sioux some other nomadic horse riding fighting culture. They were a little crunchy and I guess like WH wood elves but I'm not super versed in the WH lore, these sprung up between a player and myself discussing his Elven culture. There were also civilized high elves who tended to be diabolists.
>>47452206
Like wood elves in terms of close to nature, but on the plains and steppes? That's cool.
>>47452112
I've seen an option for if you're a half elf with aquatic ancestry in the sword coast adventurer guide, but it's just that you swap out one feature for a swim speed (30ft). Not seen any stats for whole aquatic elves though.
>>47452159
>Why are elfs the best?
they obviously aren't, but they are cool. One of the reasons is that they're stealthy, and another reason is their arcane abilities.
>What's your favorite kind of elf
Probably the Moon Elves of Faerun, or the Drow Elves
>Are there any <douchy> elves in your setting that stand out from the rest?
Well, I had this character I played that killed a archmage. He was a CE Drow Rouge
>Do you keep elf subtypes to a minimum, or is every clan another type of elf?
I feel elves classified by High, Wood, and Drow Elves; but there can be certain separations
This is how I druid

Not unless it was an extremely horrifying full-body type Cyborg modification.
>>47444812
>Is it justified to get insanity points after you have been transformed into a cyborg?
Yes if it was all at once.
No if it was one piece at a time over the course of years.
Did you ask for it?
Why can't world building be something you can make a career out of? We'd all be rich men. Why can't our one autistic skill of tabletop not put food on the same table?
What are your dreams and aspirations /tg/? Where did you bury them?
You can make a career out of it. It's called being a fucking creative writer. Enjoy competing with thousands of other people who probably try harder than you.

I really wanted 3e to be good, but it was merely better than 2.5e.
Exalted's themes of high flying wuxia magic and its setting are both much better off with a more rules lite system.
I don't get the hate for 3e, same way I dn't get the hate for Mage 2e in /cofd/
Yes the devs are dicks, but that doesn't stop you playing the game
In 3rd ed can NPCs stunt or are they just always behind the players by 2 dice/ 1 defense?

Discuss the lore and mechanics of the Warcraft setting in relation to tabletop gaming
Previous thread: >>47347175

>Arthas is a huge dick when his servants fail, but he usually praises the ones that do well
one of the things I really like in Warcraft is how very few of the villains are pointlessly evil. Even the ones that get lolcorrupted generally act in entirely reasonable ways, and even the greatest villains in the universe mostly show loyalty to their underlings
So since all the Burning Legion is showing up, any demons you'd like to see again?
I'd like to see the return of those two bosses in Arcatraz, the Wrath-Scryer Soccothrates and Dalliah the Doomsayer this time teamed up.

>>>what games are you looking forward to
The games I backed, so Scythe and Conan, though I want to get a hold of Liberty or Death that I believe is having a reprint. Anyone know of a good way to get non-Twilight Struggle GMT games in the UK?
>what player archetypes compose your regular group
I'm at a very low point in my life at the moment, so just my brother.
>how many games is too many
I've asked a similar question here before and find this interesting. I tend to spend much of my time reading about games and waiting for ones that really fulfill what I'm after and I anticipate many plays. It seems most avid board game folk have huge collections and I was astonished to see the recent Dicetower video was listing 7 or 8 plays as a lot. It makes me questoin the validity of reviewers. Instead of answering I wonder if people could say, in addition,
>how much they play their favourite/most active game?
>what games are you looking forward to
I've gotten out of the whole "cult of the new" bullshit, so the most hype I'll get is "Oh, that might be fun"
>what player archetypes compose your regular group
You know those two players who will go after each other for no apparent reason? Odds are, I'll be one of them
>how many games is too many
I'm getting close to 40 games, and that's pretty much my tipping point (some of them are tiny games like Love Letter, but still...)
>what games are you looking forward to
The one I'll actually get to play
>what player archetypes compose your regular group
