I'm inclined to think the exact opposite. The whole combination of "pick thing to give you extra points/dice, spend advancement points on it alone" really doesn't lend towards a good play experience.

If you're not going to use class/levels, you're better off probably just having a amateur vs professional binary state for raw numbers/dice, and then if you can further improve it, something like nwod fighting merits (but generalized for not just combat) stuff that produces more varied benefits than just getting more points/dice.

Have a mechanic akin to Investigate that creates Worship tokens, that are enchantment tokens.

Each Worship token has 'sacrifice 5 worship tokens, search your library for a God card and put it onto the battlefield.'

In addition to passive bonuses, each God has an ability that interacts with Worship tokens, such as spending them to deal damage or spending them to return a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield until end of turn.

Have the set be about all of the shit having gone down with Xenagos somehow fucking up the connection between Theros and Nyx, so the gods are gaining less and less power from the faith of their followers and are all in a mad scramble to gather all of the belief they can before they starve to death.

Bring back Elspeth as a planeswalker in order to convince her to fix the problem for them, since it was a planeswalker that messed everything up in the first place. Elspeth agrees, but bitchstabs Heliod first before returning the rest of the gods to full power.

Make it less under powered, and have some more creative mechanics. Otherwise, I think Theros block was a flavor home run and had solid art direction. So it doesn't need much work there.

Story wise, Elspeth comes back as an Angel Planeswalker.

This is comfortable.

Instad, i would heavily rework the setting, make it something better and (hopefully) less retarded.

I would also add handsome muscular male monsters and female human adventurers because fuck you.

I'm not that big of a fan of that series as it is, but putting the creatures (is that the right word?) in a different setting sounds like it would be cool.

I mean, don't several groups hate each other? I could see them forming tribes and countries. Now put them in a medieval Europe or Three Kingdoms China or Wild West America and I'd be game.

I like the concepts that went into it. I like the forces of order finally having a way to fight back. I love the backstory to the fyreslayers and how they are trying to find grimnir. I do like the Stormcast eternals, though I wish they were designed a little closer to the Blanche art. I like that the settin is vast and leaves room for all kinds of stories, from small tribes of normal dudes who have never seen a stormcast defending their homes up to giant clashes involving millions of combatants. I like that with every new book we learn a little more, and the fluff has been getting more interesting. Info wish they had a central guidebook like the 8th BRB containing that amount of background on the setting and the races in it, and I do wish we could learn more about the cultures but that will come in time.

I don't like how little fluff there was At the start. I don't like how they built up this new setting, then destroyed it all over again and pretty much took us to the endtimes of the mortal realms. absutely hate the archaon wank, his story should have ended when he died in the end times. Also don't like the time gap between the destruction of the old world and the current timeline, any races de ended from old world cultures should be unrecognizable at this point. Hate how the skavens are just another chaw faction instead of their own thing. Hate how they are creating new subfactions from existing ones, like the flesh eater courts, without actually adding anything new.


I do like AoS and I see it as totally separate from fantasy. I never sperged out when they ended fantasy because only the TT stopped being supported. The sourcebooks, BL novels and the existence of TW warhammer prove that the setting hasn't gone anywhere. Unless you're strictly TT, in which case, that's oretty unfortunate for you

How badly do you want to win? If you don't really care about winning, you're fine, and if you're playing Sisters as a main force you probably already know it's going to be an uphill battle.

If you really like your sisters, don't just give up because the meta is stacked against you. You provide variety to your game group, and fun for your friends.

Anon, the game is in such a terrible state right now - it doesnt even matter. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is wider than ever. A lot of the veterans have moved on to other games, and the playerbase is very different than it was 10 years ago.

Dont bother unless you have a good group to fall in with. I promise you it's a waste of time otherwise.
