You are Urist Twelfthbay, and you are the moe personification of Dwarf Fortress because the universe of Gamindustri is a sick sunnovabitch. The less said about that, the better.

As a short, sturdy creature fond of drink and industry, you're no stranger to booze or inebriation. Hell, you're reasonably sure that's why monsters always delight in ripping your minions open: your average dwarf's blood alcohol content is high enough to get anyone rip-roaring drunk from fumes alone.

Thing is, you're not very familiar with the /effects/ of getting drunk, 'cause the amount of booze required to make you black out is about the same amount required to kill you by alcohol poisoning. You've never had to develop weird folksy remedies against hangovers, like using xdog hairx or resorting to drinking water. Why would you? You're always either 1) detrimentally sober, 2) sufficiently boozed up, or 3) dead from alcohol poisoning.

So when you DO see someone passed out from too much booze, it's always a little disquieting. It's like being able to see /both/ possible statuses of Schrodinger's cat happening at the same time, and then the damn beast adds a previously unknowable gray area between dead and alive.

So yeah, Compa's somewhere between "sufficiently boozed up" and "has too much booze and may or may not die," and you can't fucking tell where she is on that sliding scale. Doesn't help that the idiot interpreted "yes, you can drink this" as "drink the whole goddamned flask, do it now."

Shinobi Quest #14

This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.

(It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)

"It's still light out! There's like, two hours before it gets really dark!"
"All the more reason to turn around now." Keiko tries to bury her face into your shoulder once more.

You are Louise Lacerte! The beautiful princess hero of Gallete! Tonight, you are going to cure a friend of her fear of the dark.
This is quickly becoming a chore rather than an adventure.

"Hey, Keiko, calm down." Kayda, your other best friend, tries shaking her by the shoulder, "It's just the woods, you've been out here many times before, right?"

"Yes, but-" Keiko's green tail puffs up in your face, "-With Atsuko. I wouldn't EVER go out in the woods by myself."
She frowns, eying you eagerly.
"We're not really staying out until dark, are we?"

"Of course."
"Why?!"
"Because, that's how we're going to cure you of your fear of the dark!"
"This is silly!" Keiko insists, "This isn't going to cure me! W-where are we even going?"

"Keiko, it's fine. We're just going to a big castle on the eastern coast. It won't take us more than an hour of walking." Kayda sighs, "There's really nothing to be worried about."

That's a great change of attitude from Kayda! Earlier, she was sound just as scared and defeated as Keiko when asked if she wanted to visit that place.

"You do know where you're going, right?" Keiko blinks.

So, I can report that the real job search is going forwards and I may get something resembling a real person schedule in the near future. Everything is still up in the air though, so nothing is set in stone. Otherwise lets continue Will and company’s adventures!

Your name is William and you think you might finally understand what the word “ostentatious” means. At least you’ve never seen anything that fit it better in you admittedly limited experience outside of The Compound. The place you’re staying at is a hotel, which is a place that will let you stay and sleep if you pay them apparently, is called “The Ritz” and it certainly fits what you imagine ostentatious to be.

After Morrigan stopped swearing on the way there, you discovered that it was apparently famous for… being nice. There were some names tossed about that you didn’t know, then they talked about how expensive it was to stay there.

All in all it seemed that Koko was taking you to a place that nobody expected and that Morrigan especially thought you wouldn’t fit in. At all.

Why am I up so earlier?I ask my self as I step down the lifeless halls of my home, struggling to hold the burning cup of tea in between my wings. Of course I know the answer, I was never asleep in the first place last night. Couldn't sleep for several reasons, including my own curiosity, the sweltering heat, and Mali's....Maliness. I shake my head head, feeling the steam rising from the cup wave past my face while I stop in the middle of the hall way, next to a tattered old suit of plate armor, and burnt gasmask on a stand.

My ears twitch about, and I hear muffled talking behind a door. Maybe it's Alex? he's been really riled up today for some reason, not sure why, but he look pretty furious and had that cruel look in his eye meaning he was trying to carry out justice. Now I don't really care why he's like that right now, but I know I changed this tea...and added a few things to put him to sleep so he might be less grumpy when her wakes up. Hell it's probably strong enough to knock mom out and...kill anything that isn't well...as hardy as we are. I giggle and stare down at the light green water, going to have to be careful with this. Maybe I could give it to Mali? she's pretty durable being a demon and all.

I smile as I stare to follow my ears, feeling them twitch and swivel on top of my head as I make my way down the hall. it would certainly make her more, manageable. But I don't think I can stomach it, even if she's been a little more energetic of late, I can't just drug her...besides it might make her worse for all I know. Now Alex on the other hand is always nicer when he naps and.
He'll always be dreadfully serious while our aunts are gone.

The voice in the back of my head hisses, reminding me and nearly making me spill hot tea all over myself.

He used to be less serious, they all say, more laid back and fun loving like Vera.
