I recently bought the Pathfinder Pawns box 4 for about $17 at a local game shop, and am wondering if the Pawns box 3 is worth it at $20.

I don't have very many miniatures so I'm trying to broaden what I have, using pawns to represent lots of different things, and I don't have a big budget for lots of miniatures. Unfortunately they only have box 3, no NPC codex or Box 1, which would give me the broadest range as far as basic monsters go.

Anyways, anyone have the Box 3? Any good? Box 4 is awesome, Godzilla and Cthulu in one box, hard to go wrong.

E6 Mythic Gestalt game, fellas. Knowing in advance there are many many many ways to make such a game explode, and aside from capping Mythic ranks and such, what are the best quick-and-dirty limits for Mythic?

I know it's an inherently broken bungle et cetera et cetera Mythic cloudkill, I'm not asking for the miracle of balance, just some mitigation. Cap how much mystic power you can spend? Anything else?

Bulma, still in her swimsuit, pilots the craft silently, her grip on the controls a lot more tense than is probably necessary. Oolong is strangely quiet, looking worried for Goku and Krillin, who now not only have to contend with Pilaf, but the Red Ribbon Army as well, and without a Dragon Radar to guide them.

It's quite tense in the small craft, and between that and the slowly-fading pain of your encounter with Colonel Silver and his men, you do not feel very comfortable.

It's because it gives a level of sophistication to the villain.

Brits are stereotyped as posh, educated, and upper class type individuals so the accent tells most people that the villain is a cut above the common rabble of criminals and is someone not to be underestimated or approached without a healthy dose of respect for the potentially complex and perfectly executed ass-wooping he may deliver.

Although you're flush off another victory and have the semi-dismantled husk of the S-Slayer to prove it, the ship itself has seen better days. From the number of alarms going off and the general babble of the busy technical staff who barely have time to secure your quartet of mecha before the engines roar to life and begin hauling the orange brick of a ship away from Griggspont, you gather that the S-Slinger sitting nearly ten kilometers away has been peppering the Pure Pure Puru with precision plasma powershots. Apparently, he managed to nearly damage the engines, caused some harm to the ship's sensors, and knocked out the CIWS in the tense minutes where the ship was serving as your shield. Even before taking any damage, though, it's cramped and metallic and uncomfortable compared to the pirate vessels you're used to.

It would be nice to stay and gloat, but it's nicer to get out alive and unharmed. The Knuckle Kaiser and S-Flowerhorn are both damaged, the latter much moreso, but the Archen is unharmed and Rosita is humming smugly to herself as she pops the hatch on her mech, stretches like a cat, and descends the liftwire with a wave to the techs who are trying to open the S-Flowerhorn's cockpit hatch with power tools. You examine the damage to your mech's right arm, wince at the fact that the UJCIDF has access to guns that big these days, and ride your own liftwire down until the soles of your boots clang against the bay floor. Captain Ashta is waiting for you there. He looks smug. He has his PC out and a tally program active. You can practically see the credit signs in his beady scavvie eyes.

"Heeeey, Admiral. Buddy. Roarke. Ol' Dude McCool. You know, my ship got a lot of new dents because of you. You did say you were paying, right? You and Red Siren? I'll call it a wash if you give me your mech, what do you say?"

Really detailed Monster Manual.

Planescape, Spelljammer, Darksun, etc.

Unless everyone's OK with one person being Bland YamaguchI and everyone else being Girl A-Z, I don't think that's a good genre to bring to a tabletop RPG.

I am thinking to instead tone down the "harem" aspect in favor of (possible, but not necessary) romance.

You need whatever your special ability that results in wacky battle school antics is to be clearly defined, and yet broad enough to allow for a variety of characters. Personally I'd recommend using a Supers system, be that Champions, Mutants and Masterminds, GURPS Supers, Wild Talents, or whatever.

So I want to try running a game focused on exploration and survival. Have a big map for the players to explore, chart out, and encounter enemies.

How feasible is this to do in 5e?

It's very good, fantastic even. It's rock paper scissors in the same way Chess is rock paper scissors.

They're both non-random, and unlike RPS you have information that narrows down your opponents possible moves.

Well I've only played 2 games with him. I guess we only played with novice level characters so far so it just seems kinda whatever. Hopefully the more intermediate characters have more depth.

It's not about the characters, it's about you.

You have to think about the several dozeb different moves available, what's not available, balance out the probability of that person using that move, then choose to be unpredictable or to play the most optimal move.

That's without the shitton of optional rules like force gauge.
