>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process
I hope everyone has fun.

Let us geode, fornicator of mothers!
The sun hangs high over the mountains as you race away from Jingle Village, searching for the cave the chief told you of.
It seems strange that a new quest is beginning so soon after your last one came to an end, but you suppose that experience is the best form of training, and that, whatever happens, you will probably come out stronger for it.
Racing toward the nearest mountain, you quickly run around the base, looking for a cave. And, before long, you spot one.
Getting closer and looking inside, you can see that it's not a very large cave. You can also see that the chief was right. There are several bears sleeping in the cave; odd, as you thought they usually slept alone.
At the back of the cave, you spot what appear to be two books.
Now, all you have to do is get to them.
>A. Try to get the books without waking the bears (55)
>B. Just grab the books, let the bears do what they want
>C. Something else

Eldritch Moon Prerelease
Didn't see a thread for this, so I made one.
Discuss commons, and uncommons. Even what rares are good and what aren't.
I'll rank commons/uncommons in each colour in a while.
>>48189299
Damn, EMN will be my first prerelease and I'm pretty nervous desu. Never played limited or drafts so don't really know what to do and which cards pick
>>48189357
Just draft an aggressive deck. Pack it full of as many low drops as you can with minimal removal/combat tricks. Most of the time you can just run people down because they are too preoccupied trying to put together something interesting
I found a store near me hosting prerelease but can't find where to actally sign up for it, is it on the wizards website or through LGS
Hey Everyone. Its Late at night, I cant sleep and im feeling in the mood to do some Write-Faggotry and felt like writing up a bit of Story time about an on-going game I've got going on right now.
Would anyone be interested in listening?
>>48189227
Yes! But I intend to sleep right now? You can be my morning wake up joy though.
>>48189286
Morning Wake Up Joy? Sure, Why Not?
*Thumbs Up*
Hopefully, It'll be something worth reading. I'll start fresh in a new reply- but Sleep well!
Our Story begins with My Perspective on the Campaign. For a frame of Reference- The DM was using the Mongoose 1st Edition Rules, and this was our first time running it.
Some People are born with a silver spoon in their hand- And Groomed into powerful positions of Influence. Some people are born gifted, changing worlds with destiny to lead them. There are even people born whom- with but a single thought, could bring worlds to heel with the power of their minds.
And Some People are born dumber then rocks.
Poor Donny-Boy Was one of these people. Born in some ass end of the Galaxy on an Imperial Ice World- Donny Boy had a cursed upbringing from the very start, Forced to Watch The Smurf's and Guligan Island reruns on (Gasp) old HDTV's from the Imperiums past. Now, if Donny-Boy had rich parents, He might of gotten on by with a 'good' Education (more like paid off) and placed somewhere where he was generally ineffective and a puppet for ACTUAL leaders to make the power plays. But All Donny-Boy Had was his dear ol' Ma and lived in squaller. Dad wasnt anywhere to be found so it was left to him to be the man of the house.
But Donny-Boy grew up right. He listened to his Ma, And learned everything he needed to from her. Donny Was a good boy, and lived by his Ma's code. He was a gentle giant of a man, whom everyone had a bit of a soft spot for.
But everyone had to grow up at some point, and Unforunately- Donny couldnt really cut it back home. Physical labour was all he was good at, and it was so goddamn cold that only drones were trusted to keep the bio-domes that barely qualified as 'liveable' in tiptop shape, and Donny never understood how any of this technology stuff worked. So, Left with no other options, He did the only thing he could do.
He enlisted.
Sir, the tech priests are saying the gellar field... flickered.
Yes sir, like an old lamp flickering a bit before going back to normal.
Should we be concerned at all?
The red guy sitting on my shoulder says we are completely safe.

You know this shit is just complete exageration right ?
So I'm on a quest to find and make the silliest EDH deck possible with the theme of a game show using cards like pic related. I want to include cards like Wheel of Torture and coin flipping cards as well and I was wondering what are some of the weirdest (legal) cards in Magic that /tg/ can think of.
>>48188317
pic related is what have me the idea.
Why legal only? If you aren't going for competitive, why not unhinged/unglued cards?
How do you do Hobgoblins, /tg/?
An entire race of Margaret Thatchers.
Hobgoblin is actually a colloquial term for when one goblin climbs up on top of another goblin's shoulders and goes mad with power. The increase in elevation completely goes to their heads, like cats.
>>48187688
>All hobgoblins in OP's picture are actually two goblins in a set of armor
>Will never unsee
Anybody played this?
Does it do anything cool? What does it have to make it special? Does it play fun? Better than 3.x? Better than FC? The more recent d20 reimaginings?
>>48186803
I've never played it, but it sounds good from what I'm reading now.
>>48186803
Its GOAT. Needs some fixes here and there, but in general is fucking solid.
>>48186999
That's what I hear about FC (in terms of D&D-likes, anyways). How does it compare to FC?
Welcome back to your irregularly scheduled 40K AU discussion.
The Hektor Heresy is a long-running collaborative writing project based on 1d4chan. The main page is at https://1d4chan.org/wiki/The_/tg/_Heresy, but the Primarch page is also a decent starting point: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Primarchs_(Hektor_Heresy)
Last time >>48106503 we left off discussing various existential threats to the Imperium in the wake of the great civil war of the Heresy. Who needs The Beast when you have the Vetrovnak?
I looked at the last thread with the suggestions for a new Thunder Kings color scheme. They aren't bad, I particularly like the suggestion to replace the Aquila's wings with lightning bolts. I think that the gold should be featured more prominently though. I'd mock something up but my computer has no internet.
In particular, we have a pitch for a massive invasion of the nascent Imperium by the Ruavu Grun to consider:
>>48175189
>The Ruavu Grun are part Aliens from Independence Day, part Vortigaunt from Half Life and part Yuzhaan Vong from the old Star Wars Expanded Universe. They use dimensional tunnelling to get around, genetically modify subject races to better serve them and use a vast swathe of unusual technologies that made them a tough foe to face. During the Crusade they show up, the Imperium understandably shoots first, and then they launch a full scale invasion that overruns almost all of Segmentum Tempestus before they are finally halted at the gates of Segmentum Sol. Then the Imperium, led by the Emperor in Person proceeds to reconquer Tempestus and utterly exterminate the Ruavu Grun, so that by 953.M30 they are practically extinct.
Thoughts? Opinions? Tirades?
>>48185394How many holes do they have.

In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, the bullywug is a type of fictional monster. The bullywugs are portrayed as a violent race of marsh-dwelling frog-like humanoids. The bullywug was introduced in the first edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game's original Fiend Folio sourcebook, created by Gary Gygax and his son Luke. The bullywugs subsequently appeared as antagonists in two first edition adventure modules, Dwellers of the Forbidden City (1981) and Needle (1987), and then continued to appear in the game's second edition, third edition, fourth edition, and fifth edition.
In the World of Greyhawk campaign setting, bullywugs are known to exist in the Hool Marshes, the Mistmarsh, and the Vast Swamp. A number of bullywug tribes have forsaken the worship of Ramenos for Wastri.
Some bullywugs worship demons and hope to one day turn into sload.

Don't start this shit again.
I am looking for darker rifts/post apoc art for my new campaign. Just finished reading the Ultimate Edition and decided to make an NPC of each O.C.C to get my head into the setting but I'm really not a fan of the comic book art.
For a creature to be targeted, does the spell have to explicitly say "target"? If I have to sacrifice a creature to cast a spell, would you technically be targeting it?
Also, ITT: Annoying Semantics of MTG
>>48178602
Sacrificing a creature as part of the cost of an activated abilitiy doesn't count as targeting that creature for the same reason you're not targeting a land when you tap it for mana. Targeting something only happens as part of the effect of a spell or ability trigger, never as part of the cost, and the card will always tell you if you need to pick targets.
>>48178602
>Annoying Semantics of MTG
how is it confusing or annoying that you ONLY TARGET when it actually SAYS TARGET you fucking retard
>>48178602
A spell or ability "targets" if the official game text for that spell or ability use the word "target". If it doesn't say "target", then it doesn't target.
Example. Bone Splinters says
>As an additional cost to cast Bone Splinters, sacrifice a creature.
>Destroy target creature.
The creature you sacrifice isn't targeted. The creature you want to destroy is targeted because that part of the card says "target".
Hear ye, hear ye. I hereby call to order this meeting of the most illustrious Mages Guild! Now as you're well aware the guild's Hall of Portals is an amazing way to get to anywhere in the world. And, that it's free to use for all members of the guild for transporting yourself and anyone you decide to bring with you. HOWEVER it is not a toy, nor is it something you are alowed to just hand off access to. If anyone wonders why I'm bringing this up it's because of two things. First, some warlord was alowed to use the hall of portals to invade some far off country that I haven't heard of before, and everyone involved is complaining to me about it. And secondly, someone redirected half of our portals to banned planes, such as the now infamous Elemental Plane of Catgirls.Welcome to the Mages' Guild. Pick a name and join in! Conflicts are resolved with d20s when needed, or with playing it out. When the thread dies on /tg/, we keep it going on archived.moe For additional resources, please visit http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Mage%27s_guild
>Looks around
I swear I had nothing to do with any of it. Especially not the Elemental Plane of Catgirls.

Sup. Noone's gonna give a shit if I take a food run to the catgirl plane, right?
A..Elemental Plane of Catgirls?
..Why is this a bad thing, exactly?
