Why aren't we storing electricity from lightning yet?

Sorry, I'm sure you could answer that but instead preferred to behave like some autistic brat.

Go somewhere else. Maybe try throwing together my own topical chan.
Alrighty, you little nerds. For too long have I felt like a dumb ass trying to hit up on your precious little nerdettes only to be ridiculed and shot down because I can't solve derivatives or know what a stupid hippopotenuse is. It's time to git good at mathematics once and for all. I'm doing a total reboot and starting from the essentials. I'll be constructing a diagram that takes me from the basics of arithmetic all the way up to the complex things like calculus and linear algebra. My aim is to calibrate my level and diagnose my weaknesses. Any help on where to start or what literature to read would be greatly appreciated with a wedgie pass.
I guess it's a journey we'll be taking together then.
Where are you starting? Algebra?
Arithmetic?

How about you start with the sticky.
I'd say something mean here, but I won't because I can only respect someone trying to improve themselves.

I spy with my little eye a physics fag!
Can you solve this for me?
I don't even know what I'm looking at.
>>8501819
If it was minesweeper I could
>>8501819
I wrote a kuakuro solver but you need to format input grid as text like that http://pastebin.com/YWc2xWwi
The nearest star is Proxima Centauri at a distance of 4.2 light years. At a speed of 150,000 miles per hour from a passive slingshot maneuver, it would be about 17,900 years to reach.
It is physically impossible for objects to attain light speed as it would require infinite energy which is impossible to generate in this universe.
A SHIP IS ALWAYS BOUND TO ITS OWN PHYSICS IN ANOTHER DIMENSION, MERELY TO BE ABLE TO KEEP EXISTING AS THE SAME SHIP.
A SHIP IS AN ISOLATED DIMENSION IN ANOTHER DIMENSION AND ALWAYS SEPARATE IN THE OTHER DIMENSION.
THE PHYSICS OF THIS DIMENSION ARE REALITY ITSELF AND CANNOT "CHANGE." ANY OTHER DIMENSION IS A COMPONENT PART OF THIS DIMENSION. A SHIP WOULD DISSOLVE IF IT ENTIRELY ENTERED ANOTHER DIMENSION.
SO STFU ABOUT STAR WARS/TREK.
I SHOULD KEEP BUMPING THIS UNTIL IT GETS THROUGH YOUR THICK VADER HELMET AND KLINGON SKULL.
I AM WAITING FOR YOU TO START REALIZING THAT THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY IS EQUALLY AS STUPID AS THE RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY BUT NERDIER AND THAT'S ALL.

>want to build this LED set

What do?
Make pencil resistors.
>>8504627
Nevermind this, 30 ohms can't be done reliably with this technique.
Try to find something from your household items, like thin wire, that could have 30 ohms of resistance when coiled up.
>>8504578
Break open old electronics, find something
Daisy chain smaller resistors
Just guessing
Hey /sci/ redpill me on these ancestry/gene test kits. Is it all snakeoil, pretty accurate, or somewhere inbetween?
It is pretty accurate, though it is not exact.
I really think they should add some confidence estimates.
Also, since the Y chromosome is inherited from father to son, you can trace father to father back through time with high accuracy. The same is true for mothers and the DNA of mitochondria.
Someone more versed in Biology can explain it better.

hey guys, so here's the problem. i can't get my head around it. is someone here smart enought to solve this? linearn programming, simplex method
>>8504385
Yes, p=0 or n=1 lol
you can write x_3 - x_4 in terms of x_1 and x_2
plug that in the max
the solution becomes easier
ir just follow the simplex algorithm?
>>8504401
may i ask you to solve this for me and attach a picture?
Instead we just shrivel up and die of radiation poisoning or cancer with even just a small dosage of radiation. Its not fair...
Uh, that's because radiation is literal fucking poison to your DNA
It's the same as saying why can't we turn into superheroes when we're thrown in a fire (except for Jews, I guess. They turned into something you can't ever question after being put in fire).

Objectively? No.
