While your dad was okay with it, and your mom supportive, some of your other moms were... hesitant.
Luckily, you knew this was going to happen, and you managed to get advice from Jacob, your family's butler, beforehand.
"Show them how much it would mean to you." he told you. "Show them your determination."

After a round of negotiations, and lots of time in the simulator, you were finally, unanimously, allowed to try out for training under the Bureau.

"Ayasaki, Rafale." You heard your name called as you stood waiting outside of the gym with other hopefuls.
Walking inside, you find your father holding a clipboard, standing next to him was his old instructor, and your 'grandfather', Mike.

Grandpa Mike was... a gorilla. But that's not what was weird right now. He's always been a gorilla. What's weird is, he's wearing his armor.

"Yes da- " you quickly correct yourself, "Yes, Sir."
"You have volunteered to be tested for majaik aptitude and Device compatibility, yes?"
"Yes sir."
"Are you aware of the risks and challenges you will face if you prove to be capable of handling a Device?"
"Yes sir."
"Are you aware of what we here in the Inter-Dimensional Peacekeeping Bureau do?"
"Yes sir."
"Are you ready?" Asks Mike.
"Yes Sir."
"Well then, i guess it's time." he says as he hands you a Bureau card.

Let's see how /qst/ does with its first EvoGame. Its time to grab your MSPaint and start playing God once more. I present to you yet another planet with another batch of our favorite primordial critters. The goal of this EvoGame will be see how many eras we can bring this planet through before we eventually lose interest and condemn it to Exterminatus. As usual, I'll be actively working to make phylogeny charts to track the evolutions, which will include an Imgur library to refer to past postings of species for this planet. Also, I'll be dropping in every now and then to shake things up for the world.

How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why.
• Details regarding a creatures size or name aren't necessary, but are encouraged.
• Nothing too outlandish. Anything incredibly silly or outlandish will not be considered a canon species 95% of the time.

Notes:
• Unless stated explicitly, no species ever goes extinct. Old species can still evolve, even if they're not on the latest "chain"
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic
• Every 5-6 hours I'll add an update Phylogeny Chart to track changes.
• Every 12-24 hours I'll be rolling for a Random World Event.
• Every 72 hours will mark the end of an era with a mass extinction.
• Have fun

After the briefest moment, your eyes adjust to the bright spotlights of the fighting ring. It’s larger than you expected, roughly the size of your elementary school gymnasium. Whatever its original purpose was is obscured by crudely erected stands on either side, packed with noisy spectators. You take a few short strides forward, gauging the room from behind your reflective black mask. It becomes quickly apparent that the crowd isn’t cheering for you, in fact few seem to notice your presence at all.

On the far side of the arena, a feminine shape struts toward the centre of the room, pointedly not looking in your direction. Her costume is unusual to say the least: she is wrapped head to toe in what appear to be a series of black leather or cloth straps, festooned here and there with metal rivets, studs, and ornaments. The costume continues up her neck, wrapping around the bridge of her nose and forehead to create an ersatz mask: the lower half of her face flashes with a toothy, hungry grin.

Though you’ve never seen a picture of her before, it’s not hard to guess that this is Belts, one of Meatgrinder’s lieutenants. You’re not entirely sure what her power is, but you know it utilizes her costume in some way.

“Fuck,” you hiss under your breath. This is why Blue Line sent you out first.

A dark night in a city that knows how to keep a secret...

You wake up with a start, your head throbbing from the night before. What you wouldn't do for some kaopectate and an aspirin. You wipe the sleep out of your eyes and look around. Hmm... this hotel, not very familiar. The paintings on the walls are of purple grasslands that probably don't exist. The window covered in grime, leading out to a fire escape. The lights flicker from the cheesy desk lamp. You hear faint static from an ancient television, probably from before the 80's, it's rabbit ears pointing up to the sky for a signal that just isn't there anymore.

As you come to your senses, you notice something is off. "I'll be damned," you think. There's a dead dame right next to you in bed, her eyes glaring with blame, piercing your very core.

You let out a grunt and get out of bed. Oddly enough, this is not the first time this has happened to you.

A sudden knock on the door.

"OPEN UP, NOIR. WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE."

Coppers. You quickly put your clothes on as you hear the fuzz preparing to knock the door in.

What do you want to do?

Hello everyone, and welcome to Bloodborne Quest. (Partially inspired by the other souls-style quest that's running right now)

I prefer to take a more "Rule of Cool" approach to story telling, so stats will be neglected, and dice rolls will be infrequent. If I ask for a dice roll, the first reply will be accepted in most cases.

Ah St. Lily’s school for girls. Possibly the most prestigious women’s academy in Japan. It is said that even the waiting list has a waiting list for this particular place. The facilities are said to be state of the art and the grounds are beautifully kept as they were almost one hundred years ago. It is said that the place is completely self-sustaining and it is almost completely cut off from the outside world.
Only the best of the best shall go to this school, and they come out fully prepared for everything the world has to throw at them. The life lessons learned in this school prepare them for everything, and no student leaves without a tale of at least one wonderful adventure in the school. The only regret the parents have is that their girls are unable to experience the joys of high school love while there.
Ah so naive.
But enough about that, you yourself are standing outside these great gates, ready to experience the full wonder and majesty of life in the school. Only one question remains.
