After finally managing to wake Rhea, everyone piled out of the cart so Derrick could find a place to leave it. Then you all decided to wait for him at the front doors.

"Sorry I spooked you Rhea" Ariadne says. "I promise not to do it again..."
"Did someone say something?" Rhea asks, trying her best not to look at Ariadne.

Ariadne moves into the spot that Rhea is looking at, and the minotaur looks to another spot. So Ariadne moves there, and Rhea shifts her gaze again.

"Rhea, you're being rude" Lulu says.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Rhea says.
"Are you not even going to try to get over your arachnophobia?" Lulu asks.
"There's an arachnid here?" Rhea asks. "I hadn't noticed"

Lulu lets out a sigh. "Suit yourself" She says. "Sorry kid... the big girl's a bit neurotic"
"It's okay. Not my first time dealing with an arachnophobe" Ariadne says. "I can break her of that, if you want"

"You can?" Lulu asks, her eyes full of hope.
Tian bonks Ariadne on the head. "No she can't" She says.
"I totally can!" Ariadne says.
"Not the way you did with Ms. Delsa. God, that poor woman must still be in therapy..." Tian says.

Last time, on Star Dust Quest...

After spelunking in the depths of Unfound, you introduced your newest crew member to the others: Nettie. She might be a little snarky, but she's strangely intelligent for her age. How old was she again? It was either 12 or 13, you can't really remember. Alas, you were surprised enough by some good cooking from Ley'ra that you invited her along with you for the new contract along with Sya'ra. Not really sure you can call it a date, but you guess it's close enough. You need a distraction after that last call with your mom.

A fifth loud, metal clank behind you alerts you to another lock on the surprisingly small door you had to duck under to get into the city. To your right, Sya'ra stares curiously at the small door, scratching her head. Up above, three turrets accompanied by too many spotlights were all pointed at you.

“Talk about over-security,” Sya'ra mutters, eyeing all the defences. Ley'ra's looking in the opposite direction, scanning the streets at the intersection you were at.

“It was necessary, believe me,” Faulka says beside her. “This area used to be a bloodbath in the first few months while we were establishing this base.”

“How do you deploy vehicles and stuff?” you ask, clutching your rifle nervously in your hands. The barrels on those turrets overhead have calibres larger than your thumbs. “This is a bit... secure, for an eye of the needle.”

“We have a garage on the other side of the base, actually,” answers Faulka as she turns away from the entrance to Unfound. She steps next to Ley'ra, looking down the street to their left. “It's much more guarded than this.”

“Yeesh,” Sya'ra gawks.

You walk up to the rest of them, putting the big turrets in the back of your mind. The air is crisp and cool, not like the dampness of the inside of the base. Somewhere overhead are your personal defence drones, though you can't see them among the darkness of the evening sky. You tap on your smart-ring and bring up a dim menu, displaying two cameras that show a birds-eye view of your position; a circle of light among the blackness. The bright spotlights do well to highlight you, but not your surroundings.

After tweaking around with the settings a little, you manage to switch the cameras to night-vision mode, and the displays turn green. Finally, you can see everything around you with much more clarity.

“We're about three clicks from our destination,” Faulka announces, pointing down the road she was looking at. Rubble litters the pavement, and the street is flanked by crumbling three-to-five story buildings.

“This looks like it was China Town,” Sya'ra laments, kicking a plastic street sign close to her that's labeled in an oriental language.

“That's Japanese, Sya,” Ley'ra sighs, shaking her head.

“Whatever.” Sya'ra points to what looks like what was a restaurant nearby. “Yeah, that looks like it was a sushi place.”

“That was a Korean restaurant,” you say, pointing to the store sign written in large, English words. “It was literally called the Kimchi Palace, Sya'ra.”

“Fuck off,” she huffs, Faulka looking between your group amusingly.

God, in his infinite boredom, has decided send you on a quest into the realm of the mortals.

You, the soul of a demi-god, have been placed into the body of a human on planet earth.
Your god given quest is to transcend from mortal to God before the heat death of the universe.
Additionally, if your vessel ceases to perform as your anchor to the mortal universe and you lack any force to keep you there, God will extinguish the flame that is your soul.

You are given two blessings:
>your soul's innate ability
>Blessing of Link: The user has the ability to spiritually communicate with the soul known as Recount.

Gameplay Info:
Your blessings and skills go from level 1 to 4.
Your blessing's level determines how many d4 to roll when using them.
After level 4 your blessing evolves to either a stronger or broader version and returns to level 1.
Stronger/Broader often means a lower dc for actions, so returning to 1d4 isn't always (but sometimes is) a reduction in strength.

During evolution, blessings also unlock a conditional.
Conditionals give bonuses to the blessing when certain criteria are met.
You will roll for these conditionals when the time comes.

Blessings and skills level up through regular use.
However, evolution only occurs when specific criteria is met.
A blessing has no hard cap but finding a way to evolve higher level blessings may prove difficult.

Health, rolls, inventory, buffs, and ect will be explained intuitively as we play.

Tips:
>There are very specific criteria to completing God's quest. Its never detrimental to seek clarification.
>In this universe sentences are power. As your blessings' descriptions grow larger so does your strength. Exploit those sentences at evolution to take your blessings to the next level.
>The only things you should take as the word of god are your blessing's descriptions and info on how to play the game. Any other text you see is from your character's perspective.

To begin please roll for your demi-god's name and innate ability.
Abilities can be worldly or spiritual. Abilities can be broad or specific.
Abilities are always written in absolutes regardless of if they can fail.

Example:
>reCaptcha, Demi-God of Verification
>Blessing of Verification: The user reveals the true nature of a target via a series of tests.
(The best way to fight reCaptcha is to never interact with it at all. Any command or question could be under its blessing. Ignoring renders its powers of verification useless.)

>Blessing of the Fold: The user can pick any two points in space and collapse all space between said points.
(This blessing is a great example of limitations outside of the description. The DC to fold light years of space is not something you could reach at level 1 of this blessing. If you wanted to be able to use this blessing for traveling large distances, you would need to take evolutions/conditionals with that in mind. Like Slow Folding: +Distance +Cast Time. Items can also reduce DC.)

Two players are pitted against one another in a sword duel. That's the game. Highest two rolls out of 100 get to be the fighters. When one fighter dies, you roll to 100 again to try and switch out with them. However, that time, it is the highest out of the next five rolls.

RULES:
>When fighting, you roll 2d2.
>Rolling 1 means you've hit
>Rolling 2 means you've missed
>Rolling 3 mean you've been parried
>Rolling 4 means you've landed a critical hit
>Being parried means that the opponent gets an instant critical hit
>It takes 10 hits to be killed or to kill someone
>Critical hits count as 2 hits instead of 1
>Game ends when there is only one ID left standing, so the game could go on for infinite amounts of time

You wake up in a tower's prison. After a quick examination of the outside, you find your bones would be paste when you hit the ground, so you don't bother. The front of your cell has rusting iron bars covering it, abandoned by any guards. You have to get out, you know this. But... who are you?

This will be a multiplayer RPG quest, with a party of four!

There will be a shared team inventory of gold, and a mutual EXP pool based off however many monsters you killed.

Every time you kill an enemy or complete a quest, you will get an amount of experience that corresponds with how hard the enemy was, and will include any possible bonuses that may be because of potion effects or gear passives. Your team shares the experience you get,and this pool has a certain cap at which you will level up. Every 3 levels, each party member will get to pick from a pool of traits, as well as allocate 5 stat points as you see fit every level.

The rug is a trap.

You knew it when you entered the room. You knew it when you took your seat. The color of a bruise: gray and black and blue. Adorned with swirling nebula patterns that drew the eye down and in. You could feel it through the soles of your shoes, radiating a secular coldness as if it were not a rug at all, but a door yawning, letting the night in. You resisted the urge to reach down and touch it. It would not be soft, you knew. It would not feel like something you could put into words.

You feel yourself as the Fox now. Nothing but pure animal simplicity. Dangerously close to the rusted vice, half buried and long forgotten, meant for something much larger than you. Your paw dances around it. Daring the ancient spring to serve it's only purpose. No warnings, just a soft click and a flurry of movement, dead leaves thrown in the air. Slow, but you're slower. The only question now: will it take the paw clean or will you chew it off?

With a concentrated effort you manage to pull your eyes from the carpeting, and you wonder if the displeasure you feel is your own or the rug's.

There are other chairs in the room, rows of them, but only you. The walls and ceiling are featureless white planes, meant to bore the eyes, turn them back down toward the floor and the rug and the trap.

There is an opening in the wall opposite from where you entered. Not a door, but a window. And not a window to the world, just a view into another white room. Smaller than your's and with only one chair. This one occupied by a young woman, her hair pulled up into a tight black bun that rested atop her head. She faced you but was not looking at you, her head lulled ever so slightly foward, her eyes on the floor. You wondered what secrets the rug whispered to her.

You hear a door close.

You turn around, back the way you came. And you realize this is a mistake even as you make it, but it's too late. This is the trap sprung. This is the trap springing. It's slow, but you're slower. The wall is white and empty. Inviting you to look down.

"Mr. Reed?"

The woman. You turn again and for a second the world is a blur of purple and white motion. She's standing in the same room as you now. She beckons to you.

"They're ready for you, Mr. Reed, this way."

She motions to a door behind her, next to the window you had seen her through. A door that had not been there before.

Her hand hovered at a perfect meridian where the purple of the rug met the white of the wall behind her. This transfixed you like a cheap magicians slight of hand may captivate a child. The gradation of the white wall into the peach of her hand into the dark, spiraling blue-violet abyss left you spellbound. You feel yourself teetering on an edge. Her hand drops and your eyes follow, clinging to it like a sailor to a buoy amidst choppy seas. Knowing your only hope is to focus on her hand, that without her it would just be the rolling lavander waves washing over you. Crushing you.

The hand! Just watch the hand!

You can feel this is important somehow but your eyes are slipping, being pulled below her fingertips and down her thigh, past her knee. Tracing the line of her shin to her feet. Her toes a beach, the tide coming in. Gravity. Pulling you over space and time. Stretching you to nothing. Leaving you where no light reaches.

The Hand!

Her toes are barely in your peripheral vision now. Your chin is nearly against your chest. You're looking down at the floor. Down where you shouldn't be. You're looking at the rug. It opens like a mouth. And through lips the color of dusk you see stars live and die. See them rage and burn, see them grow and swallow their entire systems before shrinking back to coldly simmering husks of their former selves.

You see all this in glimpses as the mouth moves. It's trying to say something to you but you can't make out the words. You know if you could just get a little closer...
