I'm getting some 10,000 lux light for an unrelated reason, is there any chance this could be helpful for filmmaking or photography? I don't have any other lights specifically for those purposes - would this light be helpful?

Hey /p/
I'm interested in Documentary photo books. Obviously, The Americans is a great start, but I'm looking to grow my collection.
What are some of your favorite books?
Also, who are your favorite documentary photographers who are still active?
can someone put me on to some good (not awful) photography youtube channels or videos/documentaries. (please not froknows or serge ramelli) (god no)
pic unrelated xd

preciate it op!
Quick /p/ poll, and its based entirely on a hypothetical situation: Lets just say that Ricoh decided to put out a 20th anniversary version of its GR1v cult P&S. Lets also say that all known mechanical defects known to the original cameras had been fixed as well but other than that the camera was functionally and aesthetically true to the original. Who among you, anons and tripfags, would buy one? Digital shooters, does it interest you?

I might, but only if service was guaranteed and if it wasn't priced something ridiculous like $1000. A collector probably wouldn't bother with a re-release.
>Digital shooters, does it interest you?
If it was digital, I would be.
>>2764109
Yeah in a heartbeat I would
>>2764114
Collectors aren't the target customer base though, actual photographers are. That being said if the camera was re-released certain collectors would undoubtedly buy them.
Pricing back in the day was 90000 yen in Japan, which equates to around 833USD in 1996 moneys. I doubt that if it happened it would be sub $1000

Hey guys,
This is my first camera ever, dont be harsh. I try to operate it fully manual or on priority modes. Rate my shots, constructive feedback please. These are un-edited because I really dont know what to do when Im editing photos. I just don't. I wonder what you all have to say about the pics I'm about to dump.
Fuji XT1 bracketing options?
Can someone that owns an XT1 confirm that it can still only do a 3 image 1 stop brackets?
I am interested in the Fuji system (currently shoot Nikon) and I was told by a rep a while ago that one of the firmware updates would improve the bracketing options, this was a few months ago now.
Also interested in any and all XT1 sample images, if you could also list the lens that would be great.
Thanks.

Best camera I've ever used. It might not have the best spec sheet but the iq and fun using it blows the competition. Seriously. Even Angry Photographer, a so sworn Nikon fan, who used to ridicule and mock mirrorless for all their flaws and shit, has bought himself x-t1 and x-t10 and is now doing review videos for fuji gear once in a while.
I upgraded it to the last firmware but didnt bother with bracketing, will test it an let you know later.

>mfw it took me literally 50-100 photos before I actually got a usable image of a cardinal
idk why but i took a shit ton of shots and they were all blurry. and not like the autofocus missed, there was nothing at all in focus in my images, and it was only with cardinals. other birds i nailed focus but i took shot after shot, on different days and every time they were blurry
finally got a usable shot last week

only reason I can think of is if you used too low of a shutter speed, but I trust that you already know about the 1/focal length for handheld shutter speed.
The Pentax K3 and its crop factor (which I assume is 1.5x) makes the 300mm lens a 532mm. You were pretty close with the 1/500, but this might have been the problem if you shot with lower speed. (and it says Exposure Mode: Auto, so it might have wildly been varying the shutter speeds during your 100 photos).
Long story short, some pillhead stole my shit a couple years ago and I want to get back into it. Still have a couple Nikkor lenses, so I'd like to stick with Nikon.
Picture= shit I used to shoot.
Been looking at the D750 or D800, but the D700 is about half the priced. I can't find the 750 used on fleabay (I have a major hardon for the 750)

Mostly for landscape. Some portrait and street stuff. But mostly natural and urban landscape.
I don't want some half-baked soccer mom camera.
