is this actually good way to gitgud at driving?
can estate motor become the Ghost of Akina?
Yes.
If you want to be a limo driver. As this training forces your inputs to be very smooth and gradual.
Did something similar in Driver's Training class.
>estate motor
Had to Google this
No, stationwagons ate for hauling your bratty kids and his shit friends around and lumber, they're worthless for competitive driving against rx7, miata,ae86
Yes, it's a tool Jackie Stewart used in his instruction, he preached smoothness and control as the key to speed, it lead to 3 world championships at a time when surviving the season put you in the top half of the field. It starts to fall apart once you get into a car with high grip you're going to be pulling over 1G lateral you'll probably slosh over a cup 1/10th full, so pretty much any car built in the last 20 years on non-shit tires.
Haven't watched this whole video, but car control really hasn't changed since the 20's or 30's, relevant bit is ~43 minutes in:

Where are my Mercedes bros?
Weather just changed here so having deal with my tire pressure sensors going apeshit because of the rapid temperature change. And I'm finally about to hit the 15K mark on my miles. Pic related.
Anyways, post your rides. +points for anyone who's sporting that AMG badge.

It's not in Forza or any of my Chinese cartoons.
It's shockingly unreliable.
greetings /o/. I have a 1978 BMW 320i and I'm looking to buy this FB rx7 that has an extra engine, transmission, and goodies.

The 12a is a tiny little thing and I imagine it would easily fit in the 3's engine bay. My friend has a TIG welder and experience with it (but not with engine swaps.) Would it be at all feasibe to swap that glorious spinning triangle in?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

go on...
Are motor/trans mounts and driveshafts super hard to do? I'd really like to do this if it's not TOO difficult
>>13828766
Regardless of how easy it'd be, its still gonna be a lot of hours, especially for first-timing it. So if you're really dedicated to spending a buttfuck worth of hours to put a dorito engine that will fall apart into a BMW frame that will fall apart, go for it.
Had my car mechanically inspected and said the rear shocks need replacing but dealer said both their mechanics said it was fine. Took their word for it until I noticed shudder and sway. I rang the non dealer Mechanic that I got the inspection with and he said it was leaking when he inspected it. I checked it out myself and I'm pretty sure it is but before I give the dealer an ear full I want to make sure. (New to cars so what might be blatantly obvious to you isn't to me but comparing it to the other shocks it definitely looks like a leak).
another angle
the other rear shock.
Google 'test car shocks' and you can do a quick check by pressing down on your car and seeing how it rebounds
It does look like a little leak
If your car is over 10 years old, i would just replace them, unless you are strapped for cash.
You are not going to ruin the car by having leaky shocks, but over time it eill get worse
Check which shocks you need and look for sales online and se if your mechic will install them and how much
Have you guys seen any /o/ related movies recently ? Which one is your favorite.

I have a 1991 chevy Cavalier 2.2 liter rs with 78,000 miles on it. Today after driving on the highway for 30mins at 70mph, it died in drive when I came to a stop at a stoplight. I put it into neutral and it idled just fine. Same thing with park. It had trouble accelerating when under 15mph. once I got going it was fine. Any idea what it might be? please help.
Sounds like a misfire, check your ignition system and sparkplugs.

I thought these cars were extinct.
>>13828527
This. Most cavaliers last 8 years of poor maintenance and abuse and then get crushed.
thoughts? just finished restoring my chevy.

Great work.
Still a boomer tho
Not a fan of yellow but it's pretty fucking dank
Subaru is like the iPhone.
They make the same thing over and over again and they just change the shape a little.
How have they gotten away with making essentially the same car for the past 20 years? Same engine same power same 4 wheel drive system same size same looking interior same colours.
It's like they don't even try and I don't see the difference between a 2004 and 2016. It's quite sad.
So here's to Subaru and not liking them.

Do you hear yourself?
i want a new legacy wagon
i do not want a forester
>>13827956
Everybody else is innovating and doing new exciting things and Subaru just keeps doing the same boring thing.
I seriously wonder what their plan is for the next generation of sti. They can't keep being unimaginative shits. Nobody likes Subaru right now unless they're buying a used one.
Do the US keep a public record of it's cars?
I will move to Ameriland (Kansas City to be exact) in a few weeks, and i'll probably buy a car the first thing i do.
I've looked around a bit, but can't find a public record of its cars, which i always use to check the background of the vehicle im interested in.
So, are there no registers, and it's just a European thing, or what?
You're probably thinking of CarFax.
>>13827925
You have to use CarFax or AutoCheck.
>>13827925
Been asking about the same question for a while as well.
But is it possible to search for cars without knowing the plate? I.o searching for cars by brand, color etc

Alright /o/ I got a question.
I'm willing to put down a fair chunk of change (10k) for a new van. Currently I drive a Chrysler T&C but it's getting old. For my next van I want to upgrade to a party v& type vehicle so I'm split between several vehicles
Ford Transit
Dodge Sprinter
Ford Econoline
I would be using this vehicle for commuting mostly, but it must be a panel van. I might occassionally have to pick up people, and it also has to be roomy enough for IT needs. Also power/weight is also a concern which has pulled me to the Ford Transit Connect more.
Any suggestions or additional insight into what I should buy? The Econoline in my area is by far the cheapest but probably not the best option.
>>13827750
>not buying a Mercedes.
Poorfag
>>13827768
Nobody is selling them in my area. I agree, they are nice but I'd like something utilitarian that I can beat on and not feel too bad
>>13827768
They have very disgusting looking interior, way worse than any GM or Chrysler. I don't know what the fuck were they thinking.
