It feels so nice when you back up into a spot and look at the front of your car when you leave while everyone else is facing with their ass.
When you parallel park uphill.
Flush with the curb.
Burgers may not appreciate this because they have wide streets and ample parking space.

if someone parked their gay SUV that close to my car I'd key the shit out of it
I am very bad at parking backwards. I try at all times possible, but...don't seem to improve. Don't know why.

why are aftermarket head units so ugly?
I'm looking for a classic car that my girlffriend will like. She's got a few car models, and I wanna get her one. Problem is I can't find one she thinks looks good. Citroen DS, Fiat 500 or 600, C2 or 3 Corvette, Series 1 E-type, Classic Mini's, I tried all the common 'beautiful' cars, but I can't seem to find one. Any other ideas?
>>13824312
Because ricers don't have taste.
>>13824341
Good luck finding a series 1 E-type. It will cost you at least 100 grand

>pristine inside and out, lots of preventative maintenance done, low miles
>test drive
>shifts are super smooth because new shifter pins, car drives like a champ
>give the guy $5k and make the trek back to central illinois
>performs great the whole way
>next day, fuel pump and starter both go bad simultaneously and now the car doesn't run
Every fucking time. Does this always happen to anybody else?
did you check the fuse bro
a fuel pump? really?
>>13824295
>BMW
>>13824306
The fuse is fine, both of these were intermittent failures. It would stall when accelerating and occasionally while idling which definitely is the hallmark of a fuel pump issue.
It was also intermittently failing to turn over, just getting a click from the solenoid, which is indicative of a bad spot on the starter solenoid.
I think.
Why is brushed steel so nearly unheard of as a finishing option for cars? Considering most body panels are made of steel, it'd be easy to do, no?
>>13824290
Because that's stainless. It expensive
Also QTDDTOT
>>13824290
Because of the big paint industry. They control ebbytang with their lobbyists.
>>13824325
>expensive
It's also difficult to stamp in a press, so couldn't be used as part of the monocoque. Remember that the DeLorean had a steel double wishbone chassis, a fiberglass body shell, then the stainless panels. Shit was heavy.
What are good, affordable cars that specialize in drifting? I've wanted to start practicing in the drifting circuit and have enough money to buy and repair an used car

Perfectly passable generic shitbox, mark you.
Junkyard tool finds
recent finds
do you offer to pay for tools you find at the wreckers or just throw them in your box?
just found this kit in with the spare of a Jetta, its a cheap kit but good enough to use in a pinch.
>>13823848
I have a similar bargain-bin (HF probably) tool kit that i bought about ten years ago, and lives in my truck. it satisfies probably 90% of my wrenching needs. The screwdrivers are shit now (the phillips is looking more and more like an ice pick every day) but the rest of it is exactly what i need.
with respect to your question, i've never found anything more than a random socket on the ground at a junkyard, and i just put it in my pocket
I found a really nice hammer once, that's about it. I kept it.
>>13823848
Whenever I buy junk cars I love luxury vehicles because they always have medkits, nice road signs and flares, and decent spare tool sets in the trunk.
But most of the time, unless it's a repo car there's not much in it.
Hi guys, I'm sure threads like this pop up all the time, but I'm mildly-interested in buying a DeLorean. How rare are these cars in actuality? The only way I've been able to find some for sale is on craigslist and some Facebook groups. I know less than 10k were manufactured (ish?) and I do have the money to buy one, but I've seen prices go from $10k-$50k. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! Also I don't post/lurk much here so if you're going to come thru and destroy me then...please refrain I suppose
but the renault engine with cis
cis!
>>13823770
I would definitely discard the engine and put something nicer in if I were to get one
>>13823762
If Wheeler Dealers has taught me anything, then $15K is a good price for a decent-condition one with some minor issues and dings.
Note that fixing dings in a DeLorean is a bit more difficult than fixing them on an ordinary car. With an ordinary car, you might be able to get away with paint and polish with the more minor imperfections. But with the DeLorean, it isn't painted - the body is raw exposed stainless steel. So that don't work.
Does your car have a turbo, /o/?

Ok, $3000 is pretty fucking ridiculous.
New HONDA CR-Z
2L four-cylinder engine turbo charger.
US$ 21,130
What do you think?
>>13823635
It looks cool, but It would be cooler if it had a manual option. Same with the veloster.
>>13823635
I like it. But I think the rear would be better if they had put more or less the same design than the rear of the european Civic VIII, with the long rear light. Just like the old CRX actually.
>>13823635
That's just a facelifted old CR-Z.
The new CR-Z hasn't been released yet. It's rumored to get the Civic chassis instead of the Fit one currently, and it's RUMORED to get the 2.0L Turbo.
But nothing's been released and there are no confirmations
