GASOLINE'S BURNIN!
I HAVE NOT HIT THIS FLIP BEFORE
HIGHER IN THE TREES
Hey aut/o/ friends
The stop lamp in my 2012 Kia Soul went out and I looked at a video explaining how to do it. The instructions said that you need a trim removal tool but in the video it looks like he just pulls the housing out by hand.
Anyone have any experience with these tools? Are they useful enough to just get even if I don't need it for this?

You seriously needed a video on how to replace a light bulb?
Jesus Christ.

It's not just a bulb sticking out of the car anon, it's in a housing with a bunch of other bulbs. Obviously I'm not the expert, that's why I made this thread.
Used tires thread go!

Looking at the Canadian winters and inabilities to bike between November - March, I'm thinking of driving my trucc 8km north of Downtown and then taking the ATV down to work every day. This way, I save $12/ day on parking (since I can just toss it on the field there).
How do I do this without being an edgelord? Is it worth it getting a cheap $700 ATV for this purpose? How safe are these on collisions?
Where do you live that you can do this, I live in the biggest hick town in Saskatchewan and people stopped letting that shit fly in like 1990
>>15750180
Lmfao: Toronto.
What do you mean "stopped letting that shit fly"? I was just going to switch between bike lanes and the regular road on the ATV. They go up to 40kmph which works pretty well for downtown bumper-bumper traffic. Especially with all the fucking construction going on nowadays.
Anyway, I've more or less planned my route out: Park at the local church 8km from my work, drive the ATV down (main benefit is the snow traction), and park it in the quad area beside the local university in a few bushes, then walk 0.5km to my work.
All these $800 ATVs I'm looking at are only 25kmph max, though.
>>15750154
5 day week, 4 weeks per month, 5 months @ 12/day = $1200
>being cold as shit on a quad
>parking truck without a block heater
>expecting an ATV to start in the cold
>possible tickets
>being cold as shit on a quad
Is that really worth $500
>Is it worth it getting a cheap $700 ATV
It will be shit

What is the advantage of having LSD in a FWD car? Wouldn't you lose grip and understeer in every corner under load?
>>15749369
No, LSDs improve grip
>>15749369
There is understeer when both wheels break loose. This is controllable and very manageable. This is at a much higher throttle input than going through a corner with a open diff and trying to keep the inner wheel from spinning.
Overall there is more grip and faster cornering.
>>15749369
It's dangerous to be under the infulence of LSD while driving any car OP
fucking retards I swear

Eurotard here.
I've got a Audi TT Quattro Mk2 (2L TFSI) as a daily driver. Bought it used and the tires on it are still not worn out, but they are junk summer tires. They are Rockstone 245/45 R17 99W XL F105 slapped on by the garage to simply be able to say you'd get new tires with your purchase...
I've got 15000km on them now and am totally fucking tired of them. So I'm now looking for a year-round tire set to replace them. Since winters aren't especially vicious around here, I'm going to keep using the same set of tires in the winter. Winters are mostly rainy, not necessarily snowy or icy.
Tire needs to have a W rating (or higher, though that would be wasted).
On the motorcycle I'm a fan of the Michelin Pilot Road series, but I don't have a reference for car tires since I've never even owned a car before. Used to bike all year round.
What tires would you suggest for this use case?
>>15749006
Probably some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s.
They're a wet weather biased summer tyre.
There's also the Michelin Cross Climate that might be worth a try.

>Audi TT
hehe tiddy
>>15749045
Thanks for the suggestion. Looked into them and unless I'm mistaken, neither of those comes in 245 width though.
>>15749067
>hehe tiddy
I quite like it. Main disadvantages so far are:
- The 2.0 TFSI is known for eating oil, but mine only uses up a bit between normal regular maintenance intervals so far, so I hope it stays that way. (I picked the 2.0l for tax reasons here, the 3.2l would've raped my bank account on a yearly basis)
- Coupe doors with only few increments in opening can be a huge bitch for parking. Have to be real careful not to bump cars (or your garage wall) next to you.
- Orientation of the windshield makes it fucking annoying to clean on the inside.
Fitting bolt on spacers on my car, the nut for the spacer when fully tightened isn't over the lug nut enough, as pictured, is this safe?
>>15748890
Not safe. If you insist on leaving it like that i recommend loctite
Yeah that's what I thought
>>15748890
How many threads are on tho?
Check it out here my friend, if the lugs are 1/2 and 16 threads per inch, you should have the nut threaded on half an inch, or 8 turns, anything more than that isn't really necessary.
So yeah, if it's a half inch lug and you have 8 full turns, you'll be A-OK
Need your help fagg/o/ts
I have a 2003 Fiesta, cca 135k km. It's been in great shape so far, but recently the car "stutters" in certain rpm ranges (2-3k) when accelerating. Usually in lower gears, in 2nd or 3rd gear. What can cause this?
>>15748835
vacuum leak
spark plugs and spark plug wires
possibly injectors
Weirdly enough, and don't shit on me for this because it seems impossible, but the battery.
Rev the car to 2.5k and keep your foot dead steady, does the RPM jump around, or drop? Does it hesitate just getting there?
>>15748846
Will trying this in neutral work? So far I've only noticed it while accelerating, will try in neutral. So far I think it will only have problems getting to that RPM, but I have to try
>>15748860
I'll assume you have an autotragic
It'll work in park.
