Get an old 90s corolla, gut it, then drop a Chevy LTG+stronger tranny in it and run it as a sleeper and own numales in their v6 mustangs.

I rarely bother with static events any more now that you can find tons of events with amateur autoX, drifting, and track days where you can actually drive your car and have fun rather than hard park and sit in a lawn chair.

Where do you draw the line between a performance car that's track-worthy and a car that just has a lot of power?
With BMW's cars, for example, the M3 is lighter than the M5, but both are performance vehicles that could do fine on a track. But then you've got V12 7 series models that it would seem silly to ever track even though they've got lots of power.
It seems impossible to define the cutoff based on a body type, or door count, or drivetrain layout either, so it seems like there's just an arbitrary size cutoff where the vehicle no longer makes sense as a track car.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong /o/.
I've been looking for a 2nd fun vehicle for about 8 months now, seriously for the past 4. I can not figure out why it's so hard to get a response or answers to basic questions. How the fuck do you go about buying Joe Bob Buttfucks Car?
Let's say I find a seller who lists a vehicle and either has a number that explicitly says to text or email. I usually ask if the vehicle has any outstanding maintenance issues that need to be addressed, leaks, smoking, gear grinding, if it has any rust, and does it run well enough to drive to where I live or will I need at trailer. Sometimes I ask for the VIN just to get the ball rolling if the vehicle looks promising.
9/10 I don't get a response to text or emails. Other times I'll get a response but the seller will half answer questions and won't respond for upwards of a day. I can understand a delay in answering emails, but holy shit why with texts. I told one guy I'm very interested, would like to come see it on what was yesterday (Saturday) but that I'd like to run the VIN before. He just dropped all communication.
What's the strategy. Is this just how it is dealing with people on there? What can I do to increase chances of atleast an initial response?
