Cars & Coffee this morning in Richmond Va. Anyone else
Where is the coffee?
Why does this sound like a massive gay orgy meet to me?
>>17846448
I try to stay away from the stuff but plenty of people had their Starbucks and etc cuz it starts at like 7:30 and ends at 10:00. As for the gay orgy part there were plenty of gay little civics so I'm sure someone was the bottom.

fucking good, crowns need to be kept as stock as possible.
Nope, got the swedish version that's good to go out of the box with half or twice the cringe, depending on your perspective.
I'm new to working on cars and this is my first car.
The throttle cable on my 7MGTE MK3 supra is frayed so I want to replace it before it snaps mid drive. I can't actually find any cables for sale that are specified for my car though apart from a few in the US, but I imagine the cable length is different for a LHD US car than it is for my RHD car. It's a discontinued part by Toyota.
It strikes me however that the actual cable portion would be much the same to any other cars so maybe I could just get some steel cable and somehow thread it through? Are they designed in a universal manner that the inner steel cable is basically interchangeable?
I'm not sure quite how to approach this and some advice from more experienced mechanics who know how throttle cables and throttles actually work would be helpful.
I know you can buy universal throttle cables, but I have no clue if they'll work. Maybe try that? Good luck with your supra, I've had terrible luck with mine.

I'm just too tired to be scared.
I don't know if anyone else here watches this channel but I notice over the last several years that when most California drivers get stopped by a police officer they never had a license, have an expired license, or driving on a suspended license.
Is this common in other states too?

>state literally hands licenses to illegals
>somehow they don't have one
Gas them all.
By running your plate they can determine whether the owner is licensed or not. They also have automatic plate scanners that ping when they find something.
>t. Got pulled over in CA for having an out of state license because dual resident of IL and CA. Cop says I showed up in the system as the car didnt have a licensed owner so he pulled me over to investigate. Sent me on my way after he figured out what was up.
Do you like the Volt or the Bolt more?
Which would you rather have?
>volt vs. bolt
haha, benis
>>17845969
I think if you're gonna go the electric route just go full beans and get the Bolt. (unless you live in the middle of nowhere)
Is this a good deal? Carfax is available too, so I don't think a lot can go wrong.

I wouldn't pay a dime over 3200 for that. Honda and Toyota are always listed way above KBB price on that horseshit site.
Hey /o/ I come to you for advice tonight.
My 98 Astro 2wd has 118,000 miles. I like it and it fulfills my needs. However it has a lot of small issues.
-Platinum beads in catalyst rattle
-Front end knock - unsure of where it's coming from
-Rear bumper reinforcement is bent
-Rear a/c doesn't work
-Front window has leak
-Rust near roof brake light
Fix these issues or run it into the ground? What will be the next major thing to fail?
I have a Sentra from 2008, I reach the point where I have been replacing stuff like wheel bearing, evap, new transmission "thankfully under warranty", starter and maybe a compressor is going to be the next thing.
I went to the dealer but I really questioning myself if I really just get a new car or replace whats wrong with the one I have.
I'm between a Civic coupe 2017 or a Mazda 3 5-DOOR. I really looking for reliability at this point.
It is really worth buying a new car or should I just repair?
what are all of the fees you have to pay when buying a used car from a dealer?
and do you just pay car price + random dealer fees,, get title and have to go to secretary of state to get it titled? i know that's a dumb question but i've never bought from dealer
(question is for my aunt who doesn't trust private sellers)
pls help ty
You don't pay any of that shit. Walk in with 80-90% of the sticker price in cash, slam it on the table, and point to the car you want, no questions asked. They'll pay for all that extra bullshit themselves.

I can't work in boots, can't drive the cars wearing them and they're too heavy to be working fast in.
>>17844069
These are what I have and they're ASTM F2413 certified, but doesn't have the sole puncture rating CSA does.
