I assume most everyone in /o/ washes their own car and I want to know what soap to use and what kind of equipment I should be looking to buy to give my car a solid wash.
Is washing it about once a week overdoing it?
>>17834663
i use meguiars gold class for soap

I wash my car once a week, also use Sonax for mostly everything.
These videos are comfy as fuck

I usually just wash the car when it gets dirty and wax the car every quarter. I'm not sure if washing too often while using good products can create swirl marks or micro-scratches, but I would assume the law of percentages dictates that to be true. For example, lets say you have a 0.1% chance of scratching the car with a good quality microfiber cloth. If you wash it 52 times a year that's a few more chances something can get scratched compared to 20 times a year.
I use Meguiars ultimate wash + wax for soap and Meguiars ultimate liquid wax.
Introducing the TOYONDA GT8600: i4 F20C Honda Powerplant, fat turbo on the side, in a GT86 body! Now on sale for $15,000 at your local Toyota and Honda dealerships!

>GT2000
holy fuck that would make like 3 cars from Toyota that had the 2000GT name or some variation of it.
>TRD 2000GT MR2 SW20
>Toyota 2000 GT
Honda will never partner up with Toyota.
On a side note the car is a lot more appealing with a Honda engine.
Its been done many times on the ae86 chasis. Why not do it yourself instead of waiting for someone to do it for you. Does your mommy spoon feed you still too?
if /o/ is buying or looking into buying a DD vehicle, nothing vintage, fast, rare, etc. and was close to or over 200k... would you?
My local area SUCKS LITERAL BALLS for used car market. The majority of the dealers, and even private sales are close to or well over 200k miles... The fucking farmers buy something, drive it until 199,999.7, pull it into the dealership and trade in.. or just sell it right out, and they ask for what the vehicle should have gone for 5 years ago with half as many miles... ever since cash for clunkers I think.
oh and fucking forget it if its a truck, especially a fucking sliverado (pronounced silver-RAY-DO). these fucking people think they're sitting on a gold mine.. pic related.
Also had a guy try to sell me a body from a 1999 on frame, no motor, no trans for 6 grand, "It's 4 wheel drive" umm.. its right now no wheel drive...
I'm sorry but I just think thats outrageous
I got my truck at 195k and drove it for four years before finally selling it. It really just depends the model and condition.
>I'm better at backing up a trailer than you edition
Post your rigs
Post stories of trailering gone wrong
This winter at work I had my first towing fail. I had a small wood chipper hooked to a 2016 GMC Canyon. The reciever had a werid way of attatching to the ball and I didn't have it tightened down correctly. It fell off on a 25mph back road. One of the chains broke, but luckily it did no damage to the trailer or to the truck. The grinding of the trailer tongue against the pavement was enough to have me shaky for a few hours though.

why can't north korea compete?
Because North Korea can't go 150 feet without spilling all of its oil.
>excluding nurburgring and rbr
>fake lap times for willow
Lmao gm fangirls this desperate
Took them three years to put the c7 round the ring and it's still slower than a decade old gtr Roflmao

That was when the gooks made cars in the 80s. Now it's a different story. Their cars are bretty good.
Hello /o/
Looking for a first car and at first I never even considered Volvo. Then it grew on me suddenly. I feel like the interior is comfy and solid. Also found a version that looks alright from the outside in my budget the c30.
Only one I could find being sold was a 2007 c30 2.0d with 180k km. Should I get it? What do you tink?
Pic related.

Anyone got the dimensions for this engine and any other information. Opinions and thoughts too are welcome. This engine will eventually be used in a desert racer truck
/o/, it's time we had a talk.
A talk about common sense Van/Truck control.
Hundreds of people have been maimed/killed by vans/trucks in the hands of madmen, some even young children no older than 5. No one needs a high capacity truck/van, there are professionals who have them who you can hire if the need arrives. A normal 4 cylinder car is all that is needed for the normal person as it can still preform your motoring needs while keeping people on the streets safe.
I hope you understand that we need this to keep our, and the future of our children, free from further tragedy
Ironically these are more dangerous than actual commercial trucks.
>>17831283
Box trucks are really easy to drive if you have a some common sense. Just make wider turns and back up carefully and it's really not any more difficult. And obviously drive slower because it's a truck. This is not rocket science. If you can't drive a box truck like that, then you really shouldn't be driving any vehicle on the road.
What's more tacky?
driving a post-2010 luxury brand car (pic related + Lexus etc) whilst having a blue collar job.
or driving a pre-2010 luxury brand car whilst having a blue collar job
>>17831265
I don't think driving any of those brands is inherently trashy, nor do I think the working class should be stigmatized for driving what they want. I know people who earn low-middle class incomes who can save, and after years of it, responsibly purchased their desired cars when they could afford to do so; that's respectable.
That said, if by "blue collar jobs," you mean low-level service jobs like fast food and welfare leeches, then yeah. I think driving something you can't afford is trashy, and I think my neighbors are dumb as fuck when their shit gets repo'd.
>>17831265
>VW
>Luxury
It's German consumer level. Not luxury. Audi is their luxury brand.
>>17831265
Protip if your lexus has those nike swooces that come OEM it's tacky
How good are the 5th gen ZL1s?
I'm thinking about trading in my 2014 SRT8 for a 2015 ZL1.

Has anyone owned an N15 Pulsar SSS, thinking of picking one up, they look pretty cool and reliable. Anyone have any issues with these anything to look out?
>>17830052
You do get a lot of "S" for your money.
>>17830121
Is that a good thing or a bad thing.
>>17830052
Never owned one, but knew plenty of folks who did. Just like the 4AGE powered Carrolas, they were a good fun reliable hot hatch. SSS has the SR20-DE factor.
Looking for California/west coast road trip requests.
Met a girl and she has a ND Miata and we wanna take it on a good road trip.
We're starting in LA, does anyone have any suggestions?
7-8 days.
I was thinking hitting up PCH to the bay, then go to lake tahoe and back down to Vegas.
But since Im with a girl I'd want to visit some proper places in between. Any ideas?
>>17829967
>she has a ND miata
So go for a trip back to North Dakota with her
>>17829967
Don't go to Vegas unless you have the time and money to experience Vegas. Not great for roadtrips.
>>17829967
Stay away from I5 if you want a fun route. Check out Cal Hwy 120 that goes out to Yosemite. Twisties for days
