I want the most luxurious, and newest car I can find for around 10k.
Was looking at some Lincoln mkz but figured I'd look at other things. Don't want a manual, want something that is incredibly comfy and has creature comforts like heated seats, good infotainment center, and probably awd.
>>17819124
Are you on a strict budget? There are some older BMW or Mercedes luxury grade cars, but the cost in maintenance is going to be expensive when shit breaks. At least with the Lincoln mkz you know that parts are going to be well within reason.
>>17819152
Money isn't a problem, I just have 10k saved up in bulk atm. I make about 55-60k a year.
>Japan makes the best economy cars
>Italy makes the best super cars
>Germany makes the best luxury cars
>French cars are a joke
>American cars are poorly built
>British cars are owned by poos.
>Russians have been making the same exact car for almost 50 years
>>17819119
This isn't even worthy of being a /pol/ slide thread, reevaluate your life.
I know I am.
>Italy
>Best super cars
heh
The reason this happened is because
The axis was disarmed and the only heavy industry were vehicles and not weaponry or space tech.
Meanwhile America and Soviet Union were jerking each other off to see who's space dick is bigger.
France and Britain used to have good cars but they kinda fell off.
Post your high mileage cars
Starting with my BMW 530d, 2004
bump
do I really have the highest mile car on /o/?
Please post some bmw unreliability memes or something at least.
imbressive.
what was done in maintenance over the years?

Kys, color names are the best. Also some cars have multiple shades of a color so listing exactly which one it is can be helpful.
>>17818510
No, it's fucking retarded.
>>17818510
faggot shut the fuck up it's gay and they always have gay names
Opinions on mk3 golfs? Found one in my area for 1500 bucks and am seriously considering buying it
>>17818229
it's a good girl's car, sweety
>>17818229
They're decent. It's the awkward transition between the MK-II and MK-IV, meaning it really looks like an MK-II, but way too rounded and lacking the retro-style of it, while also lacking the modern style of MK-IV.
Engines are good and with little maintenance they will last and serve you long enough.
If you want it go for it, there is nothing wrong with the car, although I preffer the second generation best.

Oh, hon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGjGtLlD5AU
slow, drives like a turd and rusts like crazy. Looks pretty cool.
why aren't pushrods used in relevant professional racing series if they're supposedly superior to ohc??????
ohv is more effective at saving space while ohc is better for fine tuning the engine mapping, which allows better efficiency. but it doesn't matter if your car is lighter if you're racing in a series because the officials add ballast to make it competitive.
>>17889458
but ohc weighs less.
>tfw no cake batter milkshake
ride on it = male
ride in it = female
boats and cars are female
motorcycles and skidoos are male
prove me wrong
>>17889225
Makes sense. All bikers are fags
>>17889225
Do I need anymore proof that bikers are fags?
Vehicles are inanimate objects. Ships have names because they are communities. If you refer to your car, bike or even boat that doesn't require a crew as if it were alive you're a colossal faggot and your emotional attachment to that hunk of metal and plastic is holding you back.
help guys! i have 215/45/17 new tires fitted with 17 x 7.5J wheels, my friend wants to give me some 17x7J wheels will there be any fitment issue or should i avoid for proper size?
nah it's fucked m8
>>17888908
please don't mess with me, i'm too retarded to figure it out
7.5 Is too narrow, I run 215 tires in my Focus with 8 rims and it's just right.
Any tips for a nervous new driver?
I have the mechanisms of the car down, never stall, but find myself fucking up when I'm out on the road and cant grasp a lot of things.
>Don't know what to do when coming to a brake, especially if there's a chance it might not be a red light
>Dont know what stop light is mine
>Don't know how to find my road position, always too close or far away from kerb
>Forget who has right of way on roundabouts
>Always too fast or too slow, dont know how to be in the right speed
>Don't know 90% of road signs
I really want and need to drive, but I'm starting to think I'm too stupid and it's putting me off actually going out and practicing.
Lemme guess, you already have a license.
just b urself
>>17888798
Nope - learner permit but haven't gone past parking lots yet.
>>17888805
Really made me think
do you ever talk to your car, /o/?
yes, because i'm actually autistic.
Only when cursing at it when working on it
Sometimes, especially if I feel I've been to rough on it, or when I get it back from the bodyshop
>Been looking for 4 cyl rangers mostly
>Tacos generally priced way higher
>Find a decent 4cyl Taco, 185k miles, has been serviced pretty regularly according to carfax
Is the Toyota Tacoma 4cyl just as reliable as the Ranger 4cyl? Can I expect to take this thing past 250k?+
>>17888349
get the ranger or better yet a nissan D21
>>17888357
Been looking for 2 months and I cant find anything in my price range. There are a literal ton of 4 cyl rangers >100k miles, but I dont want to spend 10,000 on a daily
>>17888349
I can't tell if this is bait
There's nothing fun with hairpin turns. When I drive through roads wih plenty of hairpin turns, I'm not thinking about Deja Vu, Running in the 90s or any of them cheesy eurobeat songs.I'm thinking about accidents, cost cutting measures (because the government is too cheap to make a tunnel or something), hicks who live in some forsaken boonies and the only reason why the road is there in the first place is because the government is considerate enouh to build one as a social responsibility project
Fuck off mom.
>>17888036
A fucking faggot
>too cheap to make a tunnel
in most places tunnels are impractical because the purpose of those roads is usually to get to the top of the mountain not just go through it.
Also fuck off, if you're not drifting throughout the entire run you're a loser.
That guy that keeps all the windows down so you can look in the vehicle and stare at him
>>17887674
>all the windows
All two?
I don't drive sedans.
>>17887706
Unless its a jeep then you can put all the windows down/off
Fuck you man I enjoy the wind in my hair, AC just isn't the same.
How do you tune a car for more power?
>>17887602
I imagine there are some bolts on the engine that you have to tighten and you gain 3 HP per bolt you tighten.
With an OBD2 you can get a handheld tuner (Diablo or SCT for example) download their software, find a speed shop that makes email tunes, pay them to email you the file, load the file on your tuner, plug it into your car and load it up, pray as you start it up.
>>17887602
Put sugar into your gas tank.
Hello guys
I'm want to buy my first car. What do you think of the Toyota Celica. here in Germany i could get a used one with about 100000 km for about 4000 Euros. is it a good first car. is it a good car at all?
What would you recommend for a first car otherwise
thanks
>>17887511
4000€=4777$
100000km= 63000 miles
>>17887511
Don't buy an early model unless you want to put a quart of oil in every week.
>>17887541
the model in the photo is the one i want to get
