So I have a stock 2004 WRX vape mobile
I'm wanting to get an after market exhaust. I know with the turbo back you got to get a tune with it.
if I get it installed and not get a tune will it end up damaging my car or will I just not see much of an improvement in performance?
if not am I better off getting the full turbo back kit, just installing it from catback then just installing the down pipe later on when I'm ready to get the tune?

>has a unicorn of a car

the fuck
>>17858589
Yes.
Get the full exhaust, and install the downpipe later.
I suggest getting a catless uppipe, downpipe, K&N drop in filter, and getting it tuned. You will see a huge difference in power.

Ours was imported from Japan in 2011. It's stock apart from a set of Prodrive gc 010e and HKS 3" exhaust, which were both on it when it came into the country.
Is this the very best year-round fun-summer frigid-snowy-winter daily driver?

I got a 2006 Volvo S80.
I want to sell it for around 4k - 5k.
I'm trying to spend as little money as possible and put the rest aside for college. (I need around $9k for 2 years community college) What should I get for around $2k? I was thinking about a civic, but most of them are close to 200k miles which worries me. I just need a cheap car with good gas that can take me to work. Any suggestions will help

I'm waiting on a dealership to order a new nav unit under warranty. It's been over three weeks. Are parts orders supposed to take this long?
Leave the 720s to me
I'm looking for a decently cheap car with good/modest power. I'm looking at these 4 cars as of now and I need /o/ to direct my attention to the best car.
Nissan N15 Pulsar SSS
Mitsubishi Lancer CE MR
Toyota Celica ST204 SX/ZR
Honda Integra DC4 GSI
Honda Civic EK GLI/CXI
So those are my basic options as of now, If anyone has had experience with these cars, please chime in and give some friendly advice.
pulsar
Avoid pulsar and lancer
Personally I would choose integra or celica
Pulsars are badass. Get it
>Have VW
>Rear seat headrest like in pic related
>Always keep them all the way down for visibility
>Passengers ride in rear seat once in a while
>Always forget to tell them to raise up the headrest until way later
>Imagine them seated the whole time with their head pushed forward like Quasimodo, laugh at the image and then feel bad about it
Any other VW owners know this feel?
Yep, 3 door A3(golf) but since I never have rear seat passengers I just took them out.
But to be honest putting them all the way down is close enough.
Get in here you cucklords, and happy 9/11. Here's an itinerary of the shenanigans we have in store.

>Rules
1. Do not cross the double yellows. No exceptions.
2. Do not drive beyond your and/or your car's limits. We've had a good track record of people not crashing so far (save for a couple of retards who thought they were dagumi). Let's keep it that way.
3. Do not do any burnouts, donuts or any of that hoodrat shit at meeting spots. Save it for the dirt or somewhere deserted where we won't get cop trouble.
Looking forward to driving with y'all.

Having nothing but boring straight roads and flat, empty landscapes to drive on sure does make people bitchy
Hey /o/ so i recently found a 6.0 lq4 engine that is in a 2007 Chevy express van do you think it's worth pulling it out and buying it? The transmission is out, front end is off of it and all it needs is to unhook the wiring harness and motor mounts it looked like someone is trying to get to it. I never pulled a engine before and the yard offers a engine hoist to remove it. I will go there tomorrow morning to see if i am convinced. The yard wants $250 for the engine.
It's a van so it likely has ~400k+ kms on it and is likely pretty tired. It could run fine or the internals could be grenaded but $250 isn't that much to gamble. If it's fucked in some way but the block is fine you could always rebuild it and have a solid engine to put in something.
It comes with a 30-day warranty so be ready to do something with it or stay home.
>>17857392
First off: What do you intend to do with it if you did decide to have it pulled out?
I only recommend it if you fully intend to devote the time into rebuilding it.
I need some good replica wheels.
What are some brands that aren't absolute shit on the road? I noticed some of them snapping after hitting a pot hole.
konig is a good
>>17857379
Anything that isn't trying to be a replica AND a racing wheel.
Seriously XXRs are dirt cheap and they're good for a daily. They look great because they are replicas but they don't try to be racing wheels. They are heavy, about the same weight as most stock wheels.
That's fine though, because they can take a fucking beating, and even if one does break, it's easy as hell to go on eBay and buy just one wheel for cheap.
You have issues when cheap manufacturers try to do mimic top tier designs but also try to make them as light as the real deal. They're cheaper and structurally less sound. Those are the wheels that snap when you hit a pothole. I personally don't recommend that anyone should run lightweight wheels on the street unless you live somewhere where the roads are all perfect.

Toyota is way more popular on this board and yet the Toyota General is hitting page 10 every day.
This board wasn't made for general threads desu. Even the sticky is massively outdated, and since none of the mods care about the boards besides /pol/, we arent ever going to see that improve.
>>17856532
yeah, pretty much this.
Most of the generals are very overshadowed by the usual threads.
