Pawned it so my now ex wife could go to a concert.

Where I live I constantly see full size trucks towing ridiculous size loads. Maybe it's because I live near the eagle ford shale fields.

Now 1/2 ton trucks that's a whole other story. I rarely see those being used for anything more then basic transportation, but if someone wants to spend 45k on a truck and just drive it around the mall parking lot it's no skin off my noise. It's their money and their likes and dislikes, so long as they don't tell me what I can or can't own I'm not going to tell them either.

Solid car. I've put 20k on mine with no issues. I realize that's peanuts and doesn't say much. My friend is a mechanic and works on these all the time; says it's one of the few cars he won't hesitate to buy.

A bit softer than the comparable 3 series but at least it has a dipstick and you can get a manuel in an 09 or earlier. NA so you don't have the turbo complexity. Not the best interior materials but it is a c-class.

How open should the throttle be at idle? I just got a car and the throttle cable was detached. Just want to make sure I've got it in the right position.

My girlfriend has a 2006 and it's super fun. The engine sounds good and the supercharger makes the car really zippy. All I can tell you is do not floor it in 5th or 6th, and keep up on the maintenance as best you can. If you love it, you'll have no problems. Make sure you get the oil reservoir in the supercharger checked and refilled so it'll keep going. Especially at 156k.

The EK is a bit of a ladies' car.

Displacement is displacement but that doesn't have to result in a proper power/torque curve. There are amurican boats with 7 L engines that produce like 200 HP.
