Does anyone have any experience with Suzuki X90's like this one?
$2000 seems like it would be too much for whats this is but I don't know as I have never ever heard of this vehicle. Looks like it'd be a fun snow shit box

I picked one up and moved it with some other guys because it was just asking for it.

Its like midget tossing.
Also is this the smallest street legal car in the United States?

Mazda has specifically said the RX-9 will not be a hybrid.
If they make a rotary enhanced EV (which makes perfect sense actually) it'll be something else entirely.
>>16214679
Mazda has already used little rotaries as a range extender in econoboxes
Has nothing to do with the rx9
Hey /o/, I was looking for some advice. I am looking at a 2005 Toyota Prius for $1950. It has some passenger damage and a missing mirror. It has a clean carfax, but the accident that it was in to lose the mirror was not on the report. It runs and is otherwise a clean looking car. What do ya'll think? Pic related, here is the damage.
>>16218065
I would give the seller shit for not having a valid accident report, get them to either fix the damage for you or lower the price considerably
>>16218065
Also if you want an early 2000s poorfag hybrid you should get an Insight instead
>>16218070
>>16218078
I planned on trying to talk them down on the mirror, but it's already $2000 below the market value and the repair will only be ~$50. I have been looking around for a car under $2500 and so far this is the best I have found. I haven't seen any Insight's for sale in my price range.
I recently bought my first manual and after a bit of practice I think I have the basics down.
>find clutch biting point
>rev match
>downshifting
>stay in 1st at red lights
Here are some things I have trouble with:
>get gears confused (1st and 3rd, 2nd and 4th, etc.)
>get nervous at stoplights (people honk at me and flip me off when I stall)
>not good with 1st gear and starting from a complete stop
>hill starts
>reversing
Would any of you kind anons be willing to share some tips so I can enjoy my new car? Also I guess manual general.

>>not good with 1st gear and starting from a complete stop
Do you use clutch only or clutch+gas? You can give it a bit of gas once you hit the biting point for a faster takeoff.
Also for hill starts I usually keep my foot on the brake and let the clutch come up a little past the biting point, just enough so it can hold the car in place long enough for me to switch from the brake to the gas pedal.
And you can always use the handbrake if you want to hillstart on easymode.

>get nervous at stoplights (people honk at me and flip me off when I stall)

If you are really unsure about stalling just start with a lot of gas.

I use clutch+gas, but then I give it too much and launch my car while flinging asphalt at the cars behind me.
Hey guys, first time poster and long time lurker, i've had minimal experience buying cars. My current ride is a rusty bmw e30 and recently i've decided to retire the car as it's not cost efficient to repair and use as daily driver. My family has been telling me to buy a brand new car and I've finally folded. I've pretty much decided to keep the e30 so I can learn the basics of DIY repair, but that's a totally off topic thing.
I've decided to buy a new car. So far my head is pretty much set on a 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback in the SE trim or A Mazda 3 Sport in either the GS or GT trim.
I've been doing my research here and there about the cars, but would really like some advice on how to make an offer to the dealership so i can haggle the price.
I hear people talk about the dealership invoice price. so how does one find out about that price?
Also, what would you guys pick? Sportback or the Mazda 3. Sorry for the off side question but I'm struggling on deciding here. So far I'm leaning towards the sportback for the AWD. I live in Canada and drive on the freeway a lot, and since winter is coming, I just feel like it's an overall advantage.
Thanks a lot guys.
>>16217663
Fuck the Mitsubishi. Mazda 3 or Toyota Corolla.
>>16217663
New cars are not cost efficient, you'll lose more in depreciation in the first year than repairs on almost any used car! Try a 3 year old used car... the original owner paid the worst of the depreciation, but it still has nearly the reliability of a new car.

Be honest, when was the last time you gave your DD a nice soapy bath?

Hey /o I'm planning to buy a diesel mini-engine so I can prove that my biodiesel works in my college proyect, so I would appreciate if you can comment what steps should I take. (Btw, if you are experienced in this topic, please put some pros and cons of biofuel)
This are like it's specifications
>>16215388
Get more info.
If it has electronic injection, common rail or variable injection timing it won't like the biodiesel.
I'll be surprised if it starts at all.
Cummins party's guy here btw. Feel free to ask
>>16215383
You would be way better off finding a small diesel excavator engine or bobcat engine out of a junkyard.
You can even convert it into a generator when you're done.
ITT we post needless wants and modifications to our cars.
I'll start.

>How many PCV valves should a transverse V6 have?
My guess would be two because of the V shape, but I can only find one in my '94 mazda ba astina.
theres usually a "cross over" tube connecting both valve covers. Most cars only have 1 PCV valve.
>>16216506
There's the one PCV valve going from one cover to the intake (past the throttle), then I have 2 hoses coming from both covers joining in a T and the T leads to the intake before the throttle.
Does that sound right?

I don't understand why so many people are really into cars. Can anyone explain whats so great about cars? I've only ever driven a Honda accord btw.
>>16216172
I don't understand why so many people are really into 4chan. Can anyone explain whats so great about 4chan? I've only ever read OP's post btw.
>>16216172
Sometimes they look cool,
sometimes they're blistering fast,
sometimes they sound great,
they're tremendously useful,
they're immensely customizable to make them unique to your own personality,
they represent freedom of mobility,
they symbolize advancement of technology,
they project to the world how you want to be thought of,
they're fun.
Why is anyone into anything? Hobbies are all wastes of time and money in the end.
I have an inquiry! In the state if mass would you need a title on your vehicle in order to register it if it is from 1985. Picture related a 1985 monte Carlo im selling.
You need a title to register a car yes.
Bump
>>16215819
Regardless of how old it is? Because in some states any car before 1990 just needs a vyn verification and a bill of sale
