Need to replace the upper and lower ball joints on both sides on my Tahoe. Anyone have any tips or tricks to make it go easier? I do all my own maintenance so I'm not a complete idiot. Going to buy the ball joint press.

Don't some stores like Autozone have free specialty tool rentals if you buy the related parts from them? You can check at their website for their local store policy.
>>16362963
This OP, rent them for free, a lot easier. And ball joint replacment is a fucking bitch. Like the other anon said, use a breaker bar, pd blaster, etc. Also make sure you use the adapter the ball joint press comes with, makes it a lot easier. Just take your time. Make sure the ball joints are going in straight or else youre gonna havr a really bad time. Get extra cotter pins because they're fucking fragile. Also when you are applying pressure the the balll joint to pop it out, make sure you stand back, they tend to literally pop out and can go pretty far.( i have a small scar on my forhead as proof.)
Why don't you drive a diesel?
>fantastic mpg
>actual usable torque
>less poluting(very low co2)
>Actually has torque
>unique compared to gasoline
>don't have to rev the piss out of it to accelerate
>did i mention torque?
>>16361704
sounds like shit
>>16361704
Because I have a turbo charged engine with nearly 300 ft/lbs of torque.
2015 Jetta Sport 1.8t with APR tune, ~240 HP / 300 ft/lbs off the top of my head.

Completely dissatisfied with my Spark.
My MJ brings me to tears of sorrow. Don't fall for the Jeep truck meme.

Should I buy an Rx7 asap or wait the 3 years or so for them to be imported. will the price drop be enough for it anyway? also rotary thread.
>>16359923
If you have the money just buy one, as soon as the fd can be imported, jdm rx7s will skyrocket in price.
Are there theoretically more possibility shapes for Rotary engineer like 3 lobed track and 4 sided piston?
>>16359991
The rotor can be different shapes, but most of the shapes you listed would be too complex.
Anyone else annoyed by the EU flag on the licence plates? They do not stand out in any way and furthermore it makes the plate look overall dull (I'd rather have the emblem-less communist-era plates personally).
I've seen a few people put stickers on them with the coat of arms or something. Do you think slightly painting that part would be illegal? Like making a small decal?
>>16359778
i've got them on mine and i don't really care, and we're even leaving the EU
they're not compulsory (at least in the UK) so you can do what you like with that bit, snap it off if you want
>>16359808
It's never a legal requirement to have the EU flag on your car, even if you're driving abroad. All you need is a GB sticker. No way am I having an EU flag in my car.
Also:
>Non-Standard lettering
>Incorrect font size
Enjoy your fine.
>>16360500
Just noticed they're German plates, disregard my point about the fine. I fucked up.
What happened?
>>16359419
they discovered that there are more colors than just red

>Emissions
We have factory cars with over 700hp that get over 20mpg and weigh almost as much as your mom. It's not emissions.
people didnt want to buy them anymore
its as easy as that
Someone from Reddit had their dealership receive 2 ND-RFs!
Just wanted to share it here.
What do you think?
Lookin real sexy from the side view.
Hello lads
My sister recently drove this nice scratch into my car. I know the paint is scratched, but also the fender has a bump there. I have bought paint to fix it up a little, but what can I do about the bump? I saw something with hot water here once, anybody can tell me something about that?
gonna need some pics of sister
pics of your sister or you did the scratch.

Yeah gonna need to see pics of your sister for research purposes
In all honesty, and memes aside, how reliable are the 2012 and newer Jeep Wranglers with the 3.6 V6? I've been strongly considering buying one, so I'm looking for answers preferably from people who have had first hand experience with their reliability or lack thereof.
>inb4 pictures of old ass Jeeps with broken axles
>>16358176
can you really afford nothing better?
>>16358265
Depends on what your definition of "better" is in this case.
>>16358286
proper offroader then a defender if europe or original jeep if US , for an 4x4 squashy on roader then any station wagon or estate with 4wd will work. 4x4s are just rollover death traps on the road.
If this car is uncomfortable to drive, steers like a cargo ship, etc sucks all around, why do the rich mommies like to drive it? Is it just because they like the looks?

Okay, I agree that it has one of the best off-road systems and it is capable like hell by 99.5% of the owners won't take it off-road.

Its a status symbol, and the only truly square SUV still available worldwide
It'll never be as cool as the old military 2.4 461 tho
>>16353445
OP here.
Sure me too but it has become a status symbol and MB saw this is as an opportunity to increase it's price like anything. The base g550 is like $125k. Wish they sold the G350(overseas base model) here in the states.
