Which is better: the Ford F-150, the Ram 1500, or the Chevy Silverado?
Numbers wise, Chevy/GMC.
Subjectively, the F-150 with the 5.0 is my favorite.

Continue testing/ inspecting new to me car.
Loose battery cables almost left me stranded at work, followed by check oil light. Is it burning or leaking? Followed by low battery reading when driving home with lights and radio on. Wouldn't want to crank until I turned lights off. Going to measure battery/alternator.
Oil change for car and motorcycles.

>pic related: my current car
My car's time is running out and I've only got a good year left at most so I'm looking for a car to replace it with.
I'm into the aesthetic of 80s/90s cars and mostly hatchbacks. Cars that I've seen that I like are:
2/3rd gen Suzuki Alto
Toyota Starlet kp61
Honda City Turbo II
2/3rd gen Toyota Supra
1/2nd gen Toyota MR2
Bugeye Subaru WRX Wagon
Saab 9-2x Aero
The car has to be manual and while its not a huge deal I'd like it to have more than one airbag so a newer car is probably where I'm leaning. I live in Canada so winter driving is unavoidable and I am fine with going to the USA to buy a car. My budget is around $5000. Right now I'm leaning towards a 9-2x Aero but since its basically a WRX I'm looking at those too so if you have any info on buying WRX's that would be appreciated.

>no Fiero on the list
You can get a hatchback for the Fiero using the rear glass from a Datsun 240Z.

>>16366144
That looks really nice. I don't know much about Fiero's but are they reliable? Would they handle fine in the winter?
>>16366192
They're no worse than MR2's. The Fiero is generally known for reliability. The 2.5L Iron Duke 4 cylinder, despite making 93 HP, was known for being indestructible, and most aftermarket for the 2.8L V6 evolved because of the Fiero.
Engine swaps are common in the Fiero community with everything from high revving quad 4 4 bangers to big small block Chevy stroker V8's. I've even seen a Ford Taurus SHO V6 swapped into one.
Fieros were also more heavily produced than MR2's, almost 380,000 Fieros as opposed to 330,000 MR2's world wide (including Mk1, Mk2, and Mk3 cars).
The big sticking point for a lot of people on the Fiero is the suspension. 1984-1987 cars used a front suspension shared with the Chevrolet Chevette. 1988 cars got a completely bespoke redesigned suspension which has long been rumored to have been developed by Lotus.

What surfaces have you had the most fun on?
Mud?
Fresh track pavement?
Melted snow that refroze?
Solid Ice?
Cobblestone routes?
Gravel?
Fractured pavement?
Fresh snow?
Do you have multiple sets of tyres?
Rained on street asphalt.
Fresh snow and ice for dem skidz
thick layer of wet leaves, fuck life.

How would you restore this masterpiece?
>>16365134
sell it to someone that cares and buy a Supra
I wouldn't because I haven't got a clue about these sorts of things.
>>16365134
its only worth 20-30k so no thanks, sell it as scrap
Basically I think this is the closest thing Jeep makes to the fun wranglers...Prove me wrong. Its got a smaller engine so its more efficient, trailhawks are recent off road, good room and basically everything the wrangler should be.
It's a rebadged Fiat Panda. Basically a eurocuck "SUV" that's fwd and we don't get the diesel version because of the EPA
>>16365100
>unibody
>IFS, IRS
>no real low range
Nah, its good offroad for what it is, but it's not nearly as competent as a wrangler offroad
>>16365109
its 4x4
Not sure if bad head gasket. Or bad idle air control gasket...
The O-ring shouldnt allow the coolant in...

I used to think that top speed and an italian badge was what made a supercar great. I thought the NSX was shit because it only went 155mph.
8-year old me was more autistic than I am today.
>>16363082
Is the NSX actually that small?
my mom owned a dodge caravan that i hated because it was embarrassing
now i realize that it is just a tin can with a 110hp motor and no brakes which makes for good fun on mountain roads
>>16363113
haven't you seen one in person? they're not all that big and the roof line is pretty low
Am I wasting my money buying a throttle body with a 5mm greater bore than my stock one.
I feel like it should tie in well with my aftermarket cold air intake, performance tune, and axlebacks. I'm just not sure if it's truly worth the $400
(2014 Mustang)
>>16362442
do fuel injected cars even have throttle bodies?
>>16362451
no, only carbureted engines
>>16362451
Unless they are diesel then yes.
Say I want to blast eurobeat and deliver tofu at night. What do I buy? E30s and 240sx cost more than a rebuilt rx7 fc. I want something I can thrash but everything is so drift taxed you may as well get something nice and hope for the best.
Volvo 745 or Volvo 245
>>16362315
These seems pretty ideal. Is there a particular year I should look for?
>>16362392
The short answer is yes.
>new battery was $200
>owning a BMW

>not running your car off the alternator for a few months and then having everything blow up at once
