new manual transmission base golf vs manual transmission base hatchback mazda 3.
which one and why?
The Mazda3 is a premium econobox, the Golf is a meh, unreliable econobox with zero driver feel. Easy choice
>>16362677
Do you plan to lease or are you going to finance and keep until it falls apart?
If the former, maybe the Golf if you end up liking it better after test driving both.
If the latter, fuck the Volkswagen - you WILL regret it if you buy.
Every VW owner I've ever met calls their car a giant shitheap - even the ones who actually really like them. It'll be nice for all of a year before shit starts falling apart or getting fucked up somehow, someway. At least with the Mazda you're getting second-tier Jap dependability - it might not go a million miles like a 90's Camry, but it's probably not going to make you curse the heavens. The new Mazda's also look really damn good and have really nice interiors.

Mazda 3, because no check engine lights
>go to fix something on your car
>break a bunch of plastic clips in the process
I pretend it gives the car character.
>>16358149
congrats. you are now a certified zip tie technician.
>tfw my low beam bulb is held in place by the rubber gasket because the fucking clip broke
what are the disadvantages of the Celica Gt4.
They seem to good to be true, and i couldnt find major flaws on google...
do you guys have any ideas ?
Rare
Suspension stuff is incredibly expensive because of the Toyota super strut.
>>16357887
I don't own one, but I do own a 323 GTX, another rare AWD turbo old JDM car, and let me tell you, if something serious fucks up on it, you're fucked buddy. Besides that its fuckin awesome.
ITT: Choose a car from each decade you'd be willing to own.

With the way automation has been trending, driving will soon become purely a luxury activity enjoyed by the richest 1%.
Where were you /o/ when you realized you would be an Automated Transit pass holder in 10 years or less?
Normalfags do not and will not trust automatic cars for another 40 years at the minimum, period. They do not consider them to be safe and are terrified they will run over pedestrians, miss stop signs or plow into a wall altogether.
Stop posting this horrifically weak bait.

As a BMW fanboy, please fuck off
Lord have mercy on you, for posting this on a board where 75% of people ride the bus and the other 25% drive pre 2003 manual shitboxes with 300k miles on the odo

I can't imagine somebody with $76k to blow would look at that and think "yeah, this is me".
Is there something out there that will give me the projected value of a car in the future?
e.g. I have a 2014 jetta. I want to know what it *might* be worth with X miles in 2018
>>16365384
No.
>>16365384
About 50% of the msrp new assuming perfect condition.
>>16365384
Yes, check '10 prices with your expected mileage.
>151 lb-ft of torque at 6600rpm
>redline is 7400rpm
Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking making this engine naturally aspirated? Such a small amount of torque at such an enormously high point in the rev range is completely unacceptable.
they were thinking
>the world wants a hardtop miata, we'll give them a hardtop miata
>>16365350
That's what parents will buy for their kids, so why not?
>>16365350
so you can spend a fuckload of money boosting it
and also because their target audience is mostly coming from corollas to babby's first sports car.
Hey guys I recently got into a wreck and was looking to buy another car. What I want is opinions on good cars that match up with these, not every car has to match perfectly but these are just what I'm looking for, I had an 02 VW Passat stage 2 turbo, it was a perfect car, pic related it was my car
>reliable
>fun
>practical
>still in production
>>16365103
>ricing a Passat
>that plastishit black bumper
>that fucking emblem
>hood holding thingies from muscle cars
holy fuck is this a cringe thread? pls dont tell me it was a diesel too.

Civic for 3k
>>16365103
>Hey guys I recently got into a wreck
>riced passat
>stage 2
Why am I not surprised?
Wife bought pic related for 19k flat, no money down and 0 fixed interest for 6 years. 2017 corolla LE Eco trim. Apparently with the warranty and Toyota care she doesn't have to worry about anything for a few years.
Despite being happy for her and glad that it's a sound investment I could just never see myself owning something so BASIC like a no frills Eco sedan. Anyone else feel the same? A 1.8 liter CVT transmission and backup cam and lane assist, wheres the funext? It's a soulless generic alliance.
>financing a shitbox for 6 years with 0 down
Lmao have fun being upside down on the loan for the entire term

Appliance*
And as far as safety goes I mean yea it haseems every fucking airbag and safety feature in the world which I guess is great specially if we have a kid soon like we planned but I think thats the biggest cop out in history to get a boring car. My pops drove us around in a full size bronco and a 80 iRoc Camaro and we turned out okay
>>16365075
Some people just look at cars as appliances mate. A corolla is a good car if you look at them as such.
I am considering buying a coworkers 1993 Lumina sedan with a 3.1 for $800. It has 191k miles. I drive about 20 miles round trip to work and back a day. What are common problems with these cars aside from the interior quality? Or am I better off looking for something else?
looks for something else I had one of those and it was the worst car I ever had
the 3.1 is a piece of shit
then again if its lasted that long maybe its been well cared for and all the problem shit has been replaced
still I wouldnt take the risk
just get a Civic or Corolla

Days
>>16365045
Just don't overheat it not even a little, I have a small junk yard and literally every 3100 engine car I have was junked due to cracked heads....but besides that they are tuff as hell I sold one with 300k miles a couple years ago
Any idea what car is this? Friend snapped quick photo but it's shit quality, and I can't recognise it.
Toyota Integra del Luna
Del Slow
Looks like a gay version of a CRX

> Design Engineer job,
> Meet all requirements for qualifications and experience.
Less than half my current salary, I think I'll stay here then.
>>16364027
You get lotsa money for flying to the events, it's all stuff that is out of the salary
>>16364051
Not for most of the positions, very few engineers go to any events and with modern telemetry and communication that percentage is on the way down.
