Daily reminder that if you don't redline your car at least once a day you rightfully have no right to post in this car forum.
I don't think I ever have, just no point in a diesel, torque disappears two thirds into the rev range.
>>17785923
>>17785936
Well does the horsepower fall as well? You realise that function torque has in an engine right? It's making horsepower. Lack in torque or a fall in it doesn't matter in performance if it comes with an increase in RPM that keeps the HP the same or increasing it.

It's a horror but it is a thing.
That's why you see so many diesel wagons in Europe, especially Audi A4

>2001 Chevy K2500
>Line-X Bed Liner
>Want Camper Shell
>8 ft bed
I googled around and could not find a straight answer, so I look to you, /o/. My truck bed is lined, and I was wondering if there were some camper shells that would work with the lining or not. And if there are some, what one(s) would you recommend? I want to be able to sleep out of it if need be. Any advice is appreciated.
>>17785402
nigger a shell just mounts to the bed sides not the bed itself, just plop it on and bring a mattress to sleep on
>>17785414
Dont listen to this guy, it will never fit OP. You would have to strip the liner out first. Nobody makes a camper shell that can go on top of a bed with a liner. You have to pick one or the other.

That's a 03-07 gmc you have posted?
Why do GM products look so cheap?
>>17785161
they don't accent anything and everything's black and plastic
>>17785161
That's actually pretty good. Far better than their previous generations. IF you think GM interiors are guilty of use of shitty plastics, check out Ford.
wow it's almost like a $21k car isn't gonna have a luxury car tier interior
what do you guys think about people who rev their engines loud as fuck in public
It screams "look at me, I have all money and no class".
Nigger behavior, basically.
attention seekers
or the same kind of people who hold in a fart until they get into an elevator
or piss all over a public toilet and on the paper roll
just terrible
there's nothing pleasant about a painfully loud engine. it doesn't need to be jet-engine tier volume to sound good

Is it a bad idea to buy a modified car? Im looking at a 2005 996 Turbo with a few simple mods
>cams
>turbos
>headers
>exhaust
>injectors
>intercooler
Its been done by a speed shop around here and a dealership is selling it for around 45k. It is somewhat of a high mileage car (67k). It is an automajic but 6speed turbos have meme taxes strapped to them. Bone stock 996 tarbos have around 20-50k but are around 50-70k for one.
Do I go for it or pass?
Nah get a 3k Civic and spend the rest on hookers and cocaine
depends on the mods, car, who did the mods, and if they have service logs.
Depends how much boost it's seen and for how long. Are these stressful mods or are they laid back?

supercharger a best
In the next year and a half we're gonna see a lot of developments in the EV world. New ~180 ish mile range leafs and e-golfs, the TM3 starts rolling out, Bolt might get a refresh, etc.
Not to mention, with every new EV sold there is a potential used EV for sale in the future.
Are you going to consider an EV for your next car purchase?
HAHAHHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
Not a chance
>>17784605
why not
>>17784596
No because I want something with 8 or 12 cylinders instead of 4.
I do think EVs are cool, but I'd still like to see a breakdown for how many miles one would have to drive to offset the costs of producing the vehicle on a per car basis, as well as some more clean energy to generate power for them.
About a month ago I tried to go to school shitty car meet and while I was there some cunt ran into my car. I gave her my phone number and she texted me so I had her number, and then I went to get my phone from inside my car. She left during that time. I tried to get in touch with her and she texted me a little bit and tried to give me a bunch of different names who would "get me what I need". Of course none of them led to anything.
I went out of town for a week or so and when I came back I tried to contact her again so we could try to work something else out, and she hasn't responded. I texted her yesterday and no response. I tried adding her Snapchat from her number and she blocked me.
All I have is her phone number, her name and her Snapchat.
What can I even do?
Probably contact the police.
Call the cops.
She left the scene of the accident, which I think is a felony down there.
Get fucked because you didnt get proper information.
Better luck next time squirt.

Doesn't feel too bad.
My mate is looking at buying a Mazda MPS.

Is anyone else sad that the traditional American car show will die with the boomer generation?
I've lived in several states and enjoyed seeing cool cars at many local shows but the story is always the same...the median age of attendees is in the 60's and climbing. Petrolheads are fewer and fewer as a percentage of the motoring population. So many 20 and 30 somethings into Uber, or if they do drive they're obsessed with empeegees and/or fawn over Tesla.
What do you think we have, 10 more years, tops, of cozy local shows with 1950s pop music, grilled dogs and burgers, and ice cold soda from a cooler :(? Hold me..
Boomers are the reason why the current generation isn't financially stable enough to own cars even if they wanted to. Go ahead and thank them for ruining everything for everyone the next time you see them.
>>17784040
You're confusing boomers with jews.
>>17784031
It won't die.
It will get better once the boomers die.
