I have a Lancer ES 03 with 145k roughly on it with these codes

0421 -Warm Up Efficiency Below Threshold Bank
Small EVAP Leak too

What could I do in the meanwhile to solve the codes possibly ?
And if anyone has knowledge on an estimate how much would it be ?

They're great. Just set it and forget. I live in a warm climate so, I have the A119 S, a capacitor cam with fantastic night vision ability. You'll mostly pay for features when purchasing a dash cam so figure out what's important to you (parking mode, GPS, wifi enabled). Just remember that if you live in a warm climate you must get a capacitor cam or your car will eventually burn down. Also, you must purchase a high endurance micro SD card. The regular ones cannot handle the continuos recording.

MINI 805 if you are looking for a cheap Chinese dash cam. Small, covert form factor, good quality video. Only issue is build quality. The company apparently has like no QC because I got sent 3 bad ones. If possible buy it from a place where you can get a refund if it is no good (SpyTec). I bought one from over seas and had no way to get my money back when it arrived fucked up. Still angry about that.

Bongland and france ban de selling of NEW ice cars from 2040. not earlyer, 2040.
Also, an ice car bought TWENTY years from now, in 2037, will still be allowed on the road after 2040.
Embrace the future kiddo. the 60ties from last century are not going to come back. (and they also had their own problems)

I'm 22 and don't have a license and really don't know how to drive a car. I'm poor as shit. I dont want to practice on my family's new Nissan Quest and crash it. I live in TN and do even need a learner's permit at my age?" Should I go to driving school? I'm a big fan of cars like the Supra, 944, E30, Impreza, and even the accord and camry. I'm a really big guy. 6'4" 280 lbs so I want something cool and comfy. I read the /o/ guide. What's a great car in my criteria to practice on and then eventually have as my main ride.

I'm on my second supra. Great fast cars. Find one without a blown headgasket. Make sure the head is torqued down properly. Add intake, straight downpipe, and youre at 275 hp
tune it and you can see over 350 hp

Does a Saab drive any differently from any other FWD car?

I read about that being the case but on paper it seems no different from a Volvo.

>>
that saab does drive differently than most FWD cars. Its still pull vs push, but it feels more connected. The FWD layout was not chosen for cost, it was chosen for traction, it was not a compromise but intended. It has a very nice front suspension, double wishbones, the rear while weird is also well sorted. The transmission will assplode though

In terms of FWD cars and handling, I say it is only second to an integra type r.

The 9-3 og, and 9-5 drives like a well sorted FWD car, but the original 900,99 do have a different feel.

The 9000 is also quite well sorted, but feels like an alfa.. as fiat did do alot of the chassis engineering.

Anyone else paranoid as fuck about buying cars and owning them? It's stressing me the fuck out.

Wtf is Chrysler's endgame? They sell 3 damn cars and are dropping the 200? FFS why are they still alive. Who's their consumer base?

Does anyone but dindus buy the 300 and rich moms who still want the minivan meme. What gives.
3 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>17769845
Minivans are more functional and effective vehicles than SUVs for the vast majority of purposes that people buy them for. And the 200 doesn't sell well because everything in its price range is better. The 300 at least punches far above its price range in regards to pretty much everything it does but handling and the badge.
>>
>>17769864
300 is would actually be a great buy if it wasn't for the fact that Chrysler cannot into reliability. Only thing Chrysler does well is engines and the SRT stuff.

Just did that and now I kinda regret it. Is it worth replacing?

Hey /o/, hoping you can give me some troubleshooting ideas or an idea of whats wrong. I drive a 92 towncar and a couple weeks ago the battery warning light kicks on and i figure "oh shit, allright I need a new battery." Replaced that, and still flashing at me, so i figure "ah thats cool that battery was old anyhow, fuckin alternators dying on me." Replaced the alternator, and I notice it runs hot as all hell, but everything seems good so fuck it.

Fast forward a week later and bam! driving the car stereo dies first, then all sorts of warnings, and finally total loss of power. Come to find that the battery is totally drained and shit out on me. So fuck it right? I got recipts. They didn't test the alternator, but the battery tested bad as all hell, So I Got me a 2nd set of brand new alternator(remanufactured) and battery. Dropped them both in the car and fuck, alternator runs hot as shit again. I havent run it much since I don't wanna burn them up. But idleing for 5 or 10 mins gets that shit so hot you cant touch it. I tested the battery with a multimeter, and im getting 12.8 car off, and 14.4-14.6 in an idle. So it seems like its doing its job and all but wtf why so hot, is that shit gonna burn me down and blow another battery? What could be wrong with my shit?

Anyone ever water decarbonized an engine? Does it work?

I'm in Bolivia with a motorcycle and the gas here is beyond terrible: 80 octane if you're lucky, 70 if you're not. Impossible to go up hills without constant pinging (p.s. Bolivia has lots of hills).

Seafoam and Techron don't seem to exist, So I figure my only option for decarbonizing (which should lower compression and cut down on hot spots a bit) is by spraying water into the intake (according to the inter webs), but putting water into an engine seems pretty wrong.
5 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I haven't done it but know it works. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. If the water vaporizes before compression it's completely safe in the engine.
>>
>>17769470
It seems wrong but if you use very little, it'll turn to steam and go through like air and not lock your engine. I've never done it myself but hear it's effective.
>>
>>17769470
you can use an octane booster like toluene or heptane

So I've owned a few bikes in my lifetime, including V-Twins, never a Harley. Guy is paying off a debt to me with a chopper he built. It's a fine deal by me as I have a lot less into the debt than even half the low end of what the bike might be worth.

It's got a 1997 Harley 1340 Evo engine, 3.5" Ultima Belt Drive (clutch), Ultima Frame, Screaming Eagle carb. Guy put it together in his garage in 2009, then medical issues so it sat there. When I saw it, I was surprised - this is a labor of love, it looks really nice, and although I don't know the engine history he spared no expense on bits and pieces and I'm satisfied it probably has no major issues.

Here's my question: I've never owned a Harley, much less this particular engine. I don't know the first damn thing about maintenance like I do with my cars. So, my questions immediately center around - what oil? What chain lube (I've only ever owned belt or shaft drive)? What general crap should I be doing and how often if I want to make sure this thing is treated right? I'll probably drive it 100 miles a week or so, with maybe a 250 mile round trip every other month. Florida, warm climate. 20W50? What's the best stuff these days? Is the Evo known as a "good" engine overall? What about that big-ass belt clutch on the side? Never owned one, don't even know what issues I may need to be prepared for when driving it to treat it right. Should I be using 93 Octane? Any additives to oil/gas? Anything you got, throw at me, please.

I'm so damn particular when it comes to my cars, I don't know where to start with this thing.

OP here - should have mentioned, pic related is just a random Evo 1340 motor, not the one in question.

If the guy is an enthusiast himself (which, from your story, I think he is) just ask him about these things. Most likely he'll be glad to hear you want to take proper care of it and explain you everything you want to know.
