Hey what's up guys. So lookin for a bit of knowledge. Have a 2002 c240 mercedes. Battery is having issues
Won't turn on without a jump
But the battery seems to be good and measuring well. I am wondering do you think it may be a bad connection with the terminals or is it just dead
I've got a trickle charger on there reconditioning the battery right now hoping that may solve this
. The electrical in the car will turn on it just won't turn over when I try to start
Anyways I am a bit of a car noob so any help is appreciated.

Did you get the starting and charging system checked or did you just check the battery voltage with a multimeter? A battery could test ok with voltage but not be able to supply enough current to start the car.

I just checked it with a trickle charger . See it will start up fine with jump but as soon as I turn it off it won't turn on again without a jump even if been driven for a while
I don't think it's the alternator because the car computer will tell me if it is with the sensors and display.
I heard that polishing the battery terminal posts could help because maybe the connection isn't good enough due to build up. That's what I am going to try next but any Input helps. Thx again

Weather looks good for my enduro race next weekend, not a day above freezing, and a bit of snow, perfect conditions, track should be nice and frozen.
Grand Am is all ready for the 4 cyl class, Sebring is about half done for the v6 class, and the Seville is all ready for the v8 class
