First for that meme car

Tried to post in last thread, but would anyone be interested in a slap inspired by Maverick's helmet in Top Gun? Nice 80s aesthetic.
Third for wishing for a Chiaki sticker.
Hi /o/
I haven't been on 4chan in a while so excuse my rhetoric if it isn't up to date...but anyways
I recently acquired 15k , and I want to purchase an RV. What should I be looking for? I know nothing about these things. Preferably something you could hook up to a truck but that isn't set in stone.
>>16573668
Oh, you're new to /o/?
Well allow me to recommend the 1991 Mazda Miata. This car is perfect for your needs. 50/50 weight distribution, cute aesthetics, peppy engine. It even has pop-ups my nigga.
Definitely within your budget and seems like a perfect fit for you
>>16573684
you have completly changed my mind by showing my this lovely vehincle, im going to buy one right away
If it's just for you I'd recommend something like this.
>tfw no friends that are into cars
>tfw no friends
>tfw living in an area that has no car scene other than the grey boomers taking their garage queens to cars and coffee
move
go to car meet
make friends at car meet
>>16573651
Car people are so cliquey though. The BMWfags won't even talk to me.
>>16573712
What do you drive?
Why would you want to talk to them anyway?
Fordfags will defend this
>>16573598
Not a Ford fan, but why would anyone need to "defend" this or any other concept?
What's to defend? It's a concept, and a pretty good looking one, too.
>>16573598
looks cool, fuck you
Why do you continue with your stupid and dangerous tradition? Do you know that driving the car properly and driving on the left side of the road actually saves lives? Why are you so arrogant about your ways and butthurt when you see someone not driving like an idiot?

>>16573296
A Youtube video doesn't constitute valid proof that your theory is correct.
Steering is not that difficult, and both hands should be on the wheel 99% of the time of driving regardless of auto or manual.
Also using American statistics that driving on the right is unsafe takes to many other variables into account.
>>16573296
But if my right hand is next to the door where will I put my gun? Don't say in the door because the door arm rest overhands the little pocket on the bottom of the door.
>>16573326
Yes, but those variables can only be driving tests. America has objectively superior roads to almost any other country in the world, Britain has fairly average roads. Steering on a highway can be done with your nose in regards to how easy it is, the actual difficulty in steering is round corners (I know, hard for Americans to conceptualise), and in normal traffic situations around built up areas.
Americans tend to have the habit of being particularly awful drivers, and so that allows them to get out of the left v right hand drivers argument. At the same time, Germany has better roads AND harsher driving standards than Britian/Japan/Australia, as well as having newer cars than Britain and Australia, yet their accident rate is somehow higher. Can you explain that?
Also, watch the whole video.
Post cars you don't understand the point of.
Why was the crx a thing when the type r was same if not better?
>>16573200
One is smaller than the other
Also one is older than the other. They werent sold at the same time.
Who cares?
>>16573205
Think you missed the point of his thread
>>16573200
I got one similar to that OP.
Why doesn't ford have something to compete against the corvette? Why doesn't Crystler have anything?

Why is it those tiny car concepts never seem to go anywhere?, setting aside Elio I suppose there's that i-Road thing from toyota, did those kinds of personal drivers ever go into production or anything?
>>16572775
More expensive cars are more profitable. Can pad profits a little by raising price, and plenty of people finance.
Small and cheap cars are not as profitable. Lots of competition in the $15k range.
Large barrier of entry (legal, financial) to making a car.
Small automakers have trouble making the least profitable type of car.
>>16572775
The market is small, production challenges are frequently underestimated, profits are slim, and regulations are tight.
What are some problems to expect from a mid to late 80s Econoline van? Are their engines generally reliable?
I've really been wanting to get one for a while.

How the fuck do I learn about cars? I never did anything with my dad growing up which is how most people seem to pick up the basics and I didn't drive regularly through highschool and now uni. I'm not retarded, I understand I don't need to know how to assemble an engine from scratch but I don't have the slightest clue about anything that isn't checking the oil and water. Is there a beginner's guide to basic maintenance? I just want to be able to know some basic things and diagnose common problems.

If you got a car get the Haynes manual for it and go watch youtube videos.
>>16572442
>How the fuck do I learn about cars?
Ignoring /o/ would be a good start.
>manual transmission
>OPs tight asshole
>>16572251
>Shitposting because you feel like less of a man because you can't drive manual
>automobiles
So I managed to land an R32 for like 3000 under KBB but I don't know shit about cars. I'm looking to buy the service manual, and I have access to a full auto bay with lifts and part rentals thanks to Amerifat military bases.
How do I git gud at being a mechanic with a VW? Also I'll answer any R32 questions people have.

>tfw someone else got a VW R32
fucking jealous of everything but the color.
I own three red vehicles and I am sick of it.
>tfw only buy good deals
>tfw best deals are always colored RED
>tfw your favorite color is BLUE

What is /o/'s take on electric cars?
I'm waiting until they can get 400 miles per charge before I consider one, but they have me interested.
I only care about function though, form in no way matters to me.
>>16571622
It's an easy way to tell people that you are better than them.
A gimmick for upper middle class suburbians.
You are not saving the world by driving an electric car
You are not saving money by driving an electric car
You are just gimping yourself to never be able to leave a 150 mile radius of your house without waiting 30mins-12 hours ever time you need to charge.
>>16571622
>Tfw the only full EV with decent range still only gets 215 miles per charge
>Tfw there's only 2 supercharge stations anywhere near me
>Tfw it's a Tesla S or some shit that costs $70,000
Lemons is shit. Most of us have shitboxes, yet we don't want to wreck them. I want to know what type of race would be best for this group; I'm thinking a sort of cost-based division with two categories: a top speed run with time and speed achieved averaged together as well as time achieved in a race from one location to another to determine class winners.
Anyone else ever have any thoughts about this?
>>16571201
I have been to a few Lemons races. They are not actually that bad and are really fun to participate in.
I'd love to do like a rally type thing across a few states with /o/. Like everyone would meet up in NC or something and we'd spend a week going on some huge road trip across the US.
I've seen a few of those superspeeders videos and it seems like so much fun, even if we don't have supercars.
We'd like decide on a route and then race each other on that to a destination.
