Guys, I was looking at buying this '99 NB Miata. It's in great condition except when I went to plug into the OBDII, I found this janky ass thing above the fusebox instead. I can't find anything about it in the service history. Any ideas?

Anything American. Impala, Malibu, Charger, Challenger, 300. It will be cheap to maintain and last you for 10 years no probs.
If you want something more fun, you would look at a 2012 or older Mustang or Camaro.
Other than that you're looking at base model C Class or BMW 3 Series or Audi A4 from 2013 or older, aka the old body styles, which will go out of date in the next year, when all the cars are updated. Not a bad buy even if that happens, but maintenance will be a little more expensive on these, although they're pretty bulletproof.
Id recommend the Impala or the Charger.

What are your favorite brands and products for visual cleanliness of your vehicle?
Im fairly satisfied with sonax products, but I seem to go through rim cleaner waaay too fast, also most of their things are scented, which Im not a great fan of, interior cleaners especially.
Shampoo, wax, sealant, rubber and plastic, interior, leather and cloth upholstery, glass products all welcome.

It would be 100-200 just to fix the rocker, since the stud broke and is stuck in the head. Another gasket would be about 50 bucks. I dont feel its worth it for a 2.2L. If it was the v6 maybe

S/V 60/70 are ford era and are fwd shit. 850 is the last real volvo, but apparently has some issues with electronics. They tried to put new fancy stuff in it, something volvo wasn't good at. Their speciality was old, proven technology optimised for current day use.

Last 960 / original v90 are straight six, but if I'm correct they only came with autotragic and no turbo option.
