Who do they think they are?
I am stuck looking for another shit box to drive, my 01 Taurus is goner due to state inspections and the rockers being evaporated due to 17 years in the rust belt.
I got an auto auction place down the street a few miles, I figure maybe I could get a cheap $500 shitbox that needs a bit of work, fix it up a bit and use it to get to work (only 10 miles a day I figure).
Anyone got experience with them, good or bad luck?
Auto auctions are where people dump lemons because they can't privately sell them.
Why don't vehicles have chrome and stainless trim anymore? Vehicles tend to just look monotone and bland without it. You're lucky to get a couple strips of fake plastic chrome on luxury vehicles where it used to be commonplace on economy cars.
>>17807393
Because chrome trim is ugly trash, same reason wood trim is thankfully going away
>>17807399
Depends on how both finishes are used. It can be tacky, but I think it also really enhances a vehicle's appearance.
Seems like everything now just looks cheap with zero trim and plastic fittings.
>>17807393
Because we're living in the fewchure and no one wants chrome anymore, went the way of the dodo in the 90s. Plus people now more than ever look at their cars as appliances to be thrown away after a few years and don't care about personal touches such as chrome and it keeps production costs lower for auto makers so they don't use chrome anymore. I personally like chrome trim but no one else seems to care much for it
What are some GOAT rally cars?

>car has air intake over valvecover
>electrical components are only located all the way up
>car has waterproof body
Well, I guess I could drive in that water as well.
It just shouldn´t park for extended times in deep water since it could leak inside the car slowly or corode the exaust system or slowly leak in the crankcase or gearbox.

What are you currently putting off on fixing in your car /o/?
nothing because it is a Honda
>>17808950
Dent in van, drivers side just above rear wheelarch
Only a small dent and scratch bit I know it's gonna be expensive
nothing because it is a Skoda
So I'm tired of my na Miata, I've had it for almost 3 years daily driving it and well... I need more space.
I decided that I want a luxuryish 4 door car. My budget is about 10k and for what I can see, infinitis in my area( houston-dallas, probably Dallas to avoid flooded cars) I can get G35, g37, m35 and m45's. I would even consider an fx35.
Out of all of them, what would be the most reliable long term? Higher mileage of all of those cars are always up for sale so I would think they last if properly taken care of? Any of y'all with experience with these cars willing to give advice, what to look for etc?
This whole post is disgusting
Are you retarded
>>17808743
>>17808738
I'd say you to consider a Lexus.
>>17808684
I'm retarded, what the fuck am I supposed to do?
>>17808691
I think it's choose the car you want or like the most from each country listed
Have you ever totaled a car /o/? How did you feel if so?
Totalled a Saab 9-3 and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
9-3 had a bent axle and GM had already killed Saab so there were no parts available so adjuster called it totalled.
Jeep died by me misjudging flood water.
I don't feel bad. Machine broke. Couldn't fix. Never injured in any of the incidents.

How much do you pay for fuel for a 100km distance?
Since fuel prices are verry different around the world I just wanted to know how much you pay on fuel to drive a distance of 100 km (62,5 miles)
I start with 4,15€/100km and 2,2€/100km.
>>17808556
$15 / 62.5 miles
>>17808556
$25/100Km
>>17808606
>gallon costs like 2,50$
>25$ -> 10 gallons
>1 gallon = 3,8L
>10 gallons = 38L
How do you burn 38L/100km?

Would you buy a modern ev twingo? I would
Should I get either new or slightly used? I can afford most brands. I was thinking a newer generation forerunner. I'm a 23 year old male with a good job. Also was thinking one of the Lexus IS models 250 or 350. Or maybe a Silverado. I currently drive an older Tacoma so I don't think I'd like going to a sedan when I'm used to sitting up a bit higher
>>17807346
if you got good money and like IS's, get a is300,
2jz. decent 4 door car. you can actually pick good examples off craigslist for suprisingly good amounts of money for, when it was being sold, a luxury sedan with a short front engine rwd platform.
Hey /o/, my ex just dumped me because my car has been having issues? She said she'll have me back once they're fixed but I'm poorfag so need your help.
Okay. So when I put my car into drive, my passenger side window very slowly rolls down. It seems like the faster I go, the faster it rolls down. She doesn't like the wind in her hair. Not sure what to do. Other issues:
>touching the brakes makes all the dash lights dim completely
>turning on the ac also turns on the seat warmers butt the button is broken so I can't turn them off
>letting off the gas at exactly 69 mph doesn't (unrev?) the engine
>seat recliner on passenger is broken, either stands straight up or falls all the way back, ex decided last few weeks to sit in back because of this
>all of the lights in the car turn on when I turn the headlights on
>windshield wipers are opposite, if one is down, other is up
>radio station is stuck on a nu-classical station and a Celine Dion cd is jammed in the cd player
>glovebox smells like poo, can't get it out no matter how hard I try
>PEACE bumper sticker with Muslim crescent removed on bumper, afraid to take off because might scratch paint
>exhaust smells like hot gym clothes and hot mildew
Thanks in advance

First o all fuck her, if she left you just because of a car then she didn't loved you enough.
Secondly, if everything you say is true then end it's misery and sell it, buy a smaller car in good condition and MANTAIN IT, don't wait until shit gets fucked up to pour money into it.
Does anyone have a dump of Honda Fit/Jazz' looking super cool and a bit riced
I'm close to getting one then selling my wrx and want to convince myself that I can still be super cool.
don't get me wrong I love the fit for some strange reason and really want one. I plan on semi ricing it for fun and want to be known as that cool fit around my area
just buy all the spoon and mugen parts you can find for maximum street cred
>>17807138
as long as u can find a way to gain another 100 HP then go for it. otherwise, in stock form, it's underpowered af.
Can someone tell me the make and year of this car? I am sure it is a Detroit product.
One of you experts will know just by looking what I would need a week of searching to find out.
Thanks in advance for any help.
1940s GM something? Kinda seems like a similar era caddy but idk cause 2 door
Olds Dynamic 66 coupe

A million thanks my friend. I had no idea even where to start looking.
That is my dad. He was colorblind, and once bought a 59 Pontiac at night that he thought was tan. The next morning it was pig pink.
