anyone own/owned one of these? mine´s a 1986 1.4 cl
>>17809190
Aren't Fords of this era total rust buckets.
>>17809201
unfortunately yes, here´s what it looked like when i took the front bumper off; this one has been neglected for over a decade since these were often thought as worthless pieces of junk, they´re starting to become rarer nowadays though
Alright /o/, I'm having a moderately tough time choosing between the 10th gen Civic Si and Focus ST, it's not really the power that's giving me a hard time. Since the ST obviously wins hands down. However, I'm being torn between choosing minimal expenses or power.
>>17809134
If buying at msrp then yes si is bargain with lsd and nicer interior then st.
But st can be had way less then si.
I haven't had chance to test drive new si yet but you should drive them both.
St has more power and they dominate in their autocrosd class, they are considered better then gti.
>tfw you will never own a mid night club styled 911

Why does it only say "mid"?

What am I doing wrong?
Could it be the diesel engine?
>>17809082
Gotta get a first gen, bro. They're cute.
Its called a UTE. A truck has a crash box with a minimum of 13litres of displacement.
who were the types driving and buying these 90s rice mobiles?
were these cars affordable back then?
was it only godhand/godleg middle aged dudes who could afford them?
>>17809027
>driving and buying these 90s rice mobiles
i do
>>17809027
>were these cars affordable back then?
yes, for the most part. The Japanese economic boom at the time caused there to be a massive variety of relatively inexpensive performance cars to choose from.
Can tires really be worth $190 each for spirited non-competitive driving?
>>17810516
I bought my tires for $500 each and they're worth it imo.
>>17810516
put in drywall screws every 3 inches for better grip
Maybe on a motorcycle where 2% better grip is the difference between dying and not-dying.
On a shitbox, not really.
Would the NA Miata become a collectors car in the next 8 years or so?
they sold too many of them for them to be a collectors item so soon
try 30 years.
>>17808869
give it more time
also the value will go up because all the 240s out there are ruined, so the drift kids no longer have any 240s to buy. they've been moving to the miata recently because it's another cheap RWD platform, but i still don't understand why because of the short wheelbase.
>>17808966
you said it yourself anon, it's a cheap rwd platform
>Why can't you just be normal /o/tist?
>>17808793
This is one of the most normal boards on this site
I'd say a 40 year old car is pretty far from a normie car.
>>17808793
Because normies like stance and stickers.
>tfw have to reduce speed because a physically capable person is jaywalking as slow as possible
There should be some law that lets you run these motherfuckers down. If you're going to illegally crossing the road at least move quickly.
I'm actually very happy that people only jaywalk here when no cars are coming.
I always lay on my horn and stop as physically close as possible and brake as late as possible
>illegally crossing the road
Is this one of those american 'everyone is retarded so we have to police them like motherfuckers' things?
Because this concept is alien af to me.
Why does Buick still exist? Ford realized years ago that the mid-tier luxury market was dead and they shuttered Mercury. Chrysler realized it even earlier when they killed Plymouth and just let Dodge cover the entire lower half of the market. Every other major manufacturer with multiple marques has a two tier system (Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura) or just uses different marques for different geographical markets. What value is there in the Buick name? Just make Cadillac cheaper so that they appeal to poor people trying to look rich, since those are the only people who buy GM's upmarket brands anyway.
>>17810448
And why does Buick exist but Pontiac doesn't? And GMC too, literally Chevys with the bowtie swapped with "GMC" badges.
Could do without both of them in favor of an affordable sport/youth brand.
Literally because China. Same reason Ford is keeping Lincoln around, and Buick allowed GM to sell Opels in markets that normally wouldn't get them without suffering from the reputation they have in their home market (which isn't very good).

Seriously how hard is it for them to make a small luxury coupe based on the Toyobarus. RC is pigfat and LC too expensive.

I got 2 radios for a 1966 mustang GT that need to be repaired and updated to work with Bluetooth. We want to use the original radio so we need to update. If we take it to a shop it will cost 700$ + taxes. Any suggestions?
Anybody? I have the 1966 mustang GT one of these things came from.
If you don't know how to do it, you'll have to pay someone to do it for you. I know, a pearl of wisdom.
>>17808640
Ok then. U got a classic car?
Hey you fucking crusty, knuckle-dragging bogats!
My cars a piece of fucking shit, so I'll be looking for a different car sometime soon/I'm asking you fuckers to give me some suggestions.
Anyway, I got only like $3,000 right now and I'm looking for a reliable, not-so-boring car that will last me all through college, preferably something that won't prevent me from busting a good nut every once in a while. (This gay kid/my friend is telling me I should get a miata, but he gets no pussy so I'm not so sure if I would even consider driving one)
Suggestions?
