HOB is a 10/10 rnb/pop album
rest of his stuff is okay. overall a better alternative to the corporate pop stars, but he had to sellout to max martin to make $$$ when he had writers block.
vapid cunt but decent songwriter

i don't like how the music industry constantly pumps shit into the aether for months and months until they finally choose an interesting, unique sounding artist only to spam them down our throat to make them look like the GOAT who saved music out of nowehere so I'm biased toward anyone who blows up all at once with like 5 hits all on the radio at the same time.
That being said, for that category of media darling performer, I enjoy his songs.
Is it good?
It's better than anything released in the past 3 years, so...
Its pure gold.
Yeah, it's good
Damn....

Thought this would be a nasheeds thread desu
Why doesn't he just move out of Long Island? He's spent literally 15 years singing about how much he hates it.
>>71073029
But then he wouldn't feel inspired enough to make mon- I mean music.
>>71073029
What would he have to sing about if he actually went and moved out though?

Unironically, I think New Slaves maybe the best Hip-Hop song of all time
What does /mu/ think of Shpongle's live shows versus their studio albums?
For those who don't know, Shpongle is arranged by Simon Posford and Raja Ram. Although their studio albums are comprised of samples and multiple other tracks by means of computer synthesis, they organize a full 13 member band when they play live.
I am torn, as i love their live shows but can't get into their studio albums. The live shows just seem to incorporate a more organic feel to the music with an actual bass, actual guitar, actual drums. Here's my favorite way to get Shpongled.

no one gets shpongled here?
I like Shpongle. My fav album is Ineffable Mysteries. While I like Shpongle, I do get the feeling that their work is a bit soulless, as if something is missing. I didn't know the live shows were arranged differently, I'm intrigued. I'll check it out when I get a chance
Please do, the link is posted above. Maybe it's because i heard their live show before downloading their albums, but i can definitely sense that the rich atmosphere the live show provided was lost amidst the synthetic feeling of the studio albums.
Can anyone recommend me a good website/youtube series/book to start with learning keys? I have basic music theory knowledge (up to grd5) and was classically trained in clarinet, but it's been a few years since I've practiced any music.
On another note, looking for recommendations in ambient music, I really enjoyed Aphex Twin's ambient works and Boards of Canada so more like that would be great
Keys? What? Do you mean.... Piano keys?
It goes c d e f g a b those are the white keys
The black ones are sharp or flat depending in which direction you go.

Ive been using this for the past few months. I like it and it's to the point and easy to follow. I pirated it but if you don't know how I'd say it's worth the $15

Listen to Spaces by Nils Frahm. I'm basically at the same point of learning as you and it blows me away what the guy is able to do live. Immunity by John Hopkins is good too.
