What does /mu/ think of Shpongle's live shows versus their studio albums?
For those who don't know, Shpongle is arranged by Simon Posford and Raja Ram. Although their studio albums are comprised of samples and multiple other tracks by means of computer synthesis, they organize a full 13 member band when they play live.
I am torn, as i love their live shows but can't get into their studio albums. The live shows just seem to incorporate a more organic feel to the music with an actual bass, actual guitar, actual drums. Here's my favorite way to get Shpongled.

no one gets shpongled here?
I like Shpongle. My fav album is Ineffable Mysteries. While I like Shpongle, I do get the feeling that their work is a bit soulless, as if something is missing. I didn't know the live shows were arranged differently, I'm intrigued. I'll check it out when I get a chance
Please do, the link is posted above. Maybe it's because i heard their live show before downloading their albums, but i can definitely sense that the rich atmosphere the live show provided was lost amidst the synthetic feeling of the studio albums.
