It's very simple:
anime characters say a lot of dumb shit.

But when you don't hear them say it in your own language, it doesn't sound as cringeworthy, because you can always tell yourself "well maybe that sounds less ridiculous in that language I don't understand".

Same for all the weird vocal flexions that go hand in hand with voicing a cartoon character. You don't notice them as much when it's in a language you don't understand, so it doesn't make you wince as much.

That's really the core of the issue. Cartoon characters sound retarded when you understand them directly. Subs don't make anime "more enjoyable", they make anime less unenjoyable.

Are you telling me Mel Blanc sounds retarded? Fuck no. It comes down to talent and talent comes down to money. Good voice actors aren't working on fucking Naruto or some low budget Jap cartoon. They're doing real work that pays.

Meanwhile, Japan has a more competitive VA industry for anime so decent VAs actually voice cartoons over there. Anime in America is a joke for VAs and there is no money in it. Simple as that. Eat shit!

Also, I just can't like the Scramble Gundam; it looks like Okawara took the Zeta Gundam and a handful of Cosmic Era Mobile Suits, tossed them in the blender with blue clear parts and hit "puree".

I think the worst offense of this Gundam though, is the mouth vents on the Zeta face. It looks so very wrong...

She did quite a lot of horrible things, but the initial ones are not completely on her or the Cima Fleet. The Colony gassing and some of the nasty jobs being done near the final days of the war were under direct orders from superior and were based on her units total ignorance to the events unfolding. Her exile from the Axis fleet was basically a death sentence for her and all of those who served with her.

She started a long list of awful decisions starting with working with the Federation and all of the heinous actions she caused during Stardust memories. Her unit was the catylist for Operation Stardust by stealing the colony and was more than happy to follow the orders of men who were not much different from the ones who had her exiled in the first place. While the Delaz Fleets actions were deplorable and generally were just spiteful remnants of Zeon, she should have remained with them and eventually relinked with the Axis Forces. Given Hamans mindset, I am sure Cima would have been welcomed with open arms, while Delaz and his supporters would have been quietly snuffed out.
