How is this not the character design of an antagonist?
It is, though. He was a bad guy in his first appearance (though secret recruitable)
>>14738455
Well he used to be one.
>>14738455
Wow, it's almost like Super Robot Wars is a schizophrenic but ultimately entertaining mess of disjointed and clashing designs.

Looks like the series is returning... through Bandai Channel.
For those of you who don't know, it's a 90's anime involving extraterrestial conflict of a kingdom and an empire involving mecha and power armor, and said conflict arrives at earth. Three of the warriors, a wolf, a gorilla, and a bird, end up under the care of a high school student who apparently is a chosen one.
Every ep is mecha of the week where one of the three knights gain a feral powered armor look to defeat said motw.
It's like proto-Zyuohger with Saint Seiya elements.
>end up under the care of a high school student who apparently is a chosen one.
You had my interest, then yanked it away just as fast.
>>14738418
There are no high school hijinks, though, since the main characters are too busy with hiding from the enemy.
>>14738418
nigga the city gets wiped out at the first ep, first few eps are about evac and finding shelter
basically only used high school student for a quick reference
Does anyone know where the fuck this is from?
>>14738373
It's a altered version of this. Looks like Korean moonspeak.

Are there ever shows where huge fleets actually accomplish something? In Gundam and Macross especially it's like space fleets exist solely to fill the screen with beams that hit nothing and then get blown up by the hero/villain effortlessly.
Go watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
>>14738207
are they copying this scene?
>>14738245
"fleet opens fire from afar at an angle and ordinance passes by up close" is pretty generic
Yamato appreciation thread?
I recently started watching Yamato 2 and am seriously impressed with the writing and pacing. It's pretty much recycling series 1's story but making it way better.
The setups is done perfectly without relying on a bunch of explosions and how the crew reassemble over 4 episodes (Yamato doesn't take off until the 4th episode minus a scene in episode 1)
Why does it get no attention even with the recent remakes?
Also, try to keep your shitposting to a minimum
>>14738150
I found the second season a bore.
>>14738314
Why?
>>14739675
I barely remember it except for those new military guys being annoying and I actually being glad when their leader died. I also watched it after the second movie so I already knew most of the plot.
BRESTO FAIIAAAAA

when did Pokemon start getting so hardcore?
Pure kino
I can't believe that one of the best mecha anime I've ever seen was actually just gay porn. But goddamn was that some good gay porn for all the wrong reasons.
>>14737947
>one of the best mecha anime
Are you serious? The action scenes were okay despite the scarcity but other than that it just wasn't very well written or directed. The plot was basically in the background.
I need pictures
pictures of ship bridges
What the fuck? I thought Bright was supposed to punch people?
Also why did Kamille steal a weapon just to shit on one officer?
Because Kamille is an edgy little cunt
>>14737109
Titans bully Green Noa.
Kamille gets bullied some more.
Gets sick of it, steals a gundam.
Shows titans who's boss.
>>14737109
If you think Bright is embarrassing here just wait for ZZ.
Is the Gundam MKII pretty much a straight upgrade over the RX-78 despite the paper mache armor?
>>14737025
It's much lighter and faster which is what counts when beams vaporise armour.
Come to think of it, would that scene in Destiny where they sortie the Strike Rouge be a pretty accurate depiction of what would happen if they sent out an RX-78 during Zeta? Every shot with a beam weapon tore off a limb, it was just a torso by the end.
>>14737027
It also has a panoramic monitor, a linear seat, the Movable Frame, drops the Core Fighter for a more solid design, and probably could carry multiple sets of the vulcan headphones and swap them out, giving it more ammo for those.
I want to create cool mecha game, and even tho I'm very capable in arts, I'm no good in mechanical design. Help anon out, show me some good mecha stuff to inspire about. Hell, draw me a mech and i'll model it. See where that goes?
btw, my favorite mech game: Zone Of The Enders. Mecha experience of my life.
>>14736830
Go to the mechamon threads. They need an artist to do pixel shit. You get to look at varying robot designs from everything from Yuusha to Variable fighters and would probably see more designs then you'd otherwise. Also there are a ton of art books. I have like 80 gigs of mecha concept books/art references that I look through every so often you can probably find a whole gaggle of them in our archives.
>>14736830
I've been daydreaming about mecha games in terms of gameplay. Can anyone give me a good suggestion showcasing truly three-dimensional space combat? The closest I've gotten to it are games where space is an empty box with a de facto up and down that all allies and enemies abide by. If that makes sense.
>>14736830
>post a .gif from Zone of the Enders
>the planets don't move.
I am dissapoint, son.
Anyone here read this? How is it?
>>14736697
I wish someone picked up the last 2 volumes.
>>14736697
Pretty rad.
That said, post-timeskip fucks up the pacing to hell and back and the ending is rushed and unsatisfying.
>>14736697
Excellent overall with lots of hype moments and fantastic art.
Does end up petering out towards the end however but it's nothing too hugely disappointing and well worth the ride.
Anyone else reading Boichi's new manga? It's /m/ as fuck. There's only been two chapters so far but it's really fucking neat. MC is a Cyborg living in a mecha design factory.
This is the best angle.
Pretty much
>you'll never smell CC's thigh
Literally the only meatbag in an /m/ show that I wanted more than one of the giant robots in the show. And I really liked a lot of the KMFs.
At least post best girl's ass.
So Dual Gear has a second indiegogo out
What do you guys think of it? Tried the demo out?
